It comes in a bottle with a press and turn lid that in very little time becomes cemented shut because it can't be kept clean. Then I have to cut the bottle open and find an emergency makeshift. You've found a cure and I love it as much as the oil. put a white strip on the side to see the level and make it self applying and you have it perfected.

I bought this product because the behavior of the Watco product I had used in previous projects seems to have changed. Though I can't find any specific evidence, there seem to be other components in Watco's formulation now that affect the smell and drying time. Walrus advertises as "pure tung oil", so I figured I had nothing to loose by trying. The smell is wonderful and the handling is better than any version of tung I've used before. Their commitment to sustainability is also noteworthy: something that will need to be part of every business model if there is to be a future with fine furniture in it.

I love this product. There are no harmful smells with Walrus Oils that I've had with generic oils. Glides on smooth with no streaks. I used it on raw 60 year old redwood planks. Beautiful. Very happy with purchase.

I recently made a custom mailbox and used the Tung oil to protect the wood and when it rains the water just beads up. It’s so simple to apply and works perfectly.Side note* The customer asked for a stain after the oil had been applied but some gel stain wiped on great over the top and then I just added a few more coats of the oil. It was perfect.
I have been installing unfinished red oak in my house, my wife wanted a zero voc finish option. After trying samples of a bunch of products, we landed on W.O pure tung oil. 2 coats with some buffing in between coats and we absolutely love it. I have also used it on some shelves and a coffee table that turned out amazing as well.

I had put min oil mixed with beeswax the first time and it was about time to put a new coating on my counters. I didn't like with the beeswax that it didn't really cure all the way and if I set a pc. of paper on the counter it would get a greasy looking. The first thing I was asked was what grit sandpaper did I use. I re-sanded starting with a 220 but the beeswax gunked (I think that is a word) up the sandpaper so I used a 120 to start and then finished with a 220. The counters are nice and smooth. On a Sat I put down my first and only coat. Water doesn't get on this section so I figure 1 coat is good for ... I am planning how I can do around the sink area. It is only me and dear husband so we could grill for 5 days and use paper plates. Would I choose this and do it again?? Yes I am very happy with the product. I did not mix this with any thing. I wish I would of used this product when we first installed the countertops.
We can't say enough about this product. My husband designed and custom built a beautiful wooden play structure for our backyard that I was tasked with protecting from the elements. Walrus oil was the absolutely perfect answer to that because the application is easy and the finished product is not only beautiful and provides lasting protection, but is perfectly safe for the kids (nothing toxic)!! We have used other products on many other wooden structures we have on our property and have found this to top them all. This product was first applied to our play structure over 2 years ago and is still going strong. (My husband has added to the structure over time and each new section gets the Walrus oil applied.) Very nice silky application, Looking good so far as our piece of Hoosier cabinet wood is very dry. I still need to adjust thinning the product out so it may dry quicker. No cutting of the product takes several days to dry. I would recommend this product. Just play around this thinning.

Really good quality tung oil. Easy to apply and puts the right finish on a stained front door! This tung oil could be sold in smaller quantities because it goes a long ways, even for multiple applications. So, please sell it in smaller containers for less money and give customers a break! Thanks for making this good product available online (not sold in stores).
