A cosy shelter for 4 wanderers

The Wanderer 4 person tent is well made and easy to put up, doable with 1 person but easier with 2 people. I only had 1 problem - the pegs supplied are undersized - being only 90mm long and about 5mm dia. Because of this the diagonally opposite peg lifted out of the ground when I bent the second strut into position. Luckily I had adequate pegs on hand that stayed in the ground. I am more than happy with the tent. If it's your first time with this tent it would be best erecting it in daylight - I ran into the dark and got the fly inside out first off, which is not the tent's fault.

Good quality tent, bit hard to set up for newbies

Great that it is high in the middle, almost 2 meters. Also great size tent for 2 grownups, or family of 4.It is bit hard to put up for newbie with only 4 pictures on the manual :DIt has 2 layers, fly net layer and rain proof layer. It is time consuming to set both, as both need to be set and pegged to the ground. It is bit hard to align both to be on the same level. The awning looks bigger on the picture, it is actually narrow and low. You cannot set up 2 chairs underneath.Apart than those fallbacks, it is a sturdy tent and withhold quite of a windy night we had with occasional rain. For beginners like us, probably pop-up tent would have been better choice.

Great tent which easily handled downpours on our recent trip. As another reviewer remarked, setting up the tent is a two person job at least. Unlike other reviewers I was able to easily get tent back in bag.

Good weekend tent
27 July 2023

This tent has lasted me years and gets the job done! The fly is easy for me to put on myself (and im not that tall). The floor is thick and im not nervous it will rip like some other tents. The hook in the middle is very convienent - I love to hang a short strand of fairy lights instead of using a torch. Easy to fit in my hatchback for an overnight or weekend trip.

Kept us cosy and dry over 2 days of rain!
2 September 2021

First camping trip in this tent and it rained the whole time, based on past experience with borrowed tents I was prepared for some leaks but was pleasantly surprised we stayed nice and dry inside and it stood up to some pretty severe wind too! Though we did have to go and buy some extra long/strong pegs to hold it down.It fit 3 adult women very comfortably and could have fitted another, but it was nice to have a bit of extra space for our bags and belongings.I was very happy with this tent! Good quality and easy to set up for a great price and so was my dog who might have to come on the next trip!

Perfect for a weekend getaway
17 April 2021

Purchased the 12 men tent earlier for large family trips but wanted something smaller for weekend camp outs with the little ones or friends and this was perfect. Easy setup once you read the instructions and set out the pieces and it was large enough to sleep quite comfortably all weekend. Lots of ventilation with large screened door and side windows, 4 side pockets for personals and a roof hook to hang a lantern etcPacked up as easily as was unpacked. We will definitely get a lot of camping trips with this tent.

Perfect for hot weather!
16 January 2024

Have been through thick and thin with this tent! Has survived ugly weather although I would not recommend putting this tent through heavy rain, only light for a short amount of time. Although it is perfect for hot weather as it has heaps of ventilation! Generous amount of space for 2 of us, we had no issues what so ever. You will need at least 2 people to set it up though. I did use this solo in quite cold conditions and wouldn’t recommend it as it’s quite thin and doesn’t provide warmth and I would definitely pack many cozy blankets! Best feature is being able to stand in it. Be advised I have owned this for a few years now and is starting to show slight wear and tear out of my own fault of not being gentle, otherwise it’s durable with good treatment!

Quality materials, tall roof, practical configuration.
7 May 2024

Just spent a week in this tent over 3 different locations. It withstood heavy rain without any leaks, and gusty wind without any issues. As soon as I opened the bag I knew it was never going back in. The tent, poles and pegs now live in the bag, and I'll make another bag for the fly. I didn't end up using the main flap as an awning as I had it closed to keep the weather out most of the time. Having the "outside" space came in really handy for cooking and keeping muddy boots. I'm 6'4" (191cm) and could comfortably stand up inside to get dressed or have a sponge bath. I never thought that would be possible. On my own this tent was absolute luxury, but it would easily house 2 normal size adults and luggage. The instructions say 2 person setup, but I set it up in around ... MoreJust spent a week in this tent over 3 different locations. Regret buying this tent
6 May 2022

Had high hopes for this tent due to reviews. Unfortunately the fly seems a touch too small. We repositioned it 3 times but every time the front vestibule was bent out of shape from being pulled too tight around the pole. The whole front section material would be super tight in some places and loose and flappy in others. We had no rain but found the vestibule wet and dripping inside from frost on two mornings. I worry to think how this tent may hold up in rain.

Solo travellers beware
3 November 2022

Although often travelling solo, I like a big tent, so I can stand up and fit a decent air matress. Bought on the strenght of lots of good reviews, but solo traveller beware: it's really hard to put up by oneself. Getting it off the ground without a second person is always an effort. The front pole is extremely awkward to fit after tent is erect and impossible to keep in one piece if fitting through before getting the tent up. Also not enamoured with petrol colour, but that's more a matter of personal taste than practicability.Having said this, so far it has withstood wind and rain without fail.
