WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Nintendo Selects)
In his home of Diamond City, Wario discovers an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a treasure known as the Form Baton. The legend goes that if the holder follows the forms, he can ultimately overcome any challenge. The word is spread in the city and soon everybody tries to master the moves. WarioWare Smooth Moves is a party game consisting of more than 200 micro-games (very short mini-games that last only five seconds each), using the Wii Remote, to scribble, swing, spin, squat, serve, flail and many more. Along the way, more micro-games are unlocked.

If you're looking for a game for the Wii that REALLY shows what the Wii controller can do, look no further - This is it and then some. It's fun, addicting, fast, simple, and is as difficult as you want to take it. You can easily beat the game in an hour or two, but it doesn't end there, that simply unlocks multi-player mode, which is the highlight of the game anyway. There's a few different multi-player modes, which will have everyone in the room waving their arms around like idiots (but in a good way of course) and each one is unique and exciting.Another highlight of this game, which I didn't hear anything about prior to playing it myself, is the way each "form" is taught. A "form" is the way of holding the controller for a particular micro game. A "form" is the way of holding the controller for a particular micro game. A very serious-toned voice explains how to hold the controller, while the screen turns gray and soft dramatic music plays. Of course what the voice is actually saying is ridiculous, which goes perfectly with the theme of the game. One more thing that adds an edge to this game is the use of the Mii feature, which is very well integrated and gives you a chance to see your Miis in something besides Wii Sports. If you want to have fun with your Wii, or you're looking for a great multi-player game, here you go. Shopping doesn't get any easier than that.

Smooth Moves is great fun. If you've played other Wario Ware titles, you know what to expect - several characters, each with a simple story, where you play frantic micro-games. Since this is on the Wii, the games focus on the Wii-mote. There are various forms where you hold the wii-mote in certain ways and you quickly switch between games. It keeps track of which games you've played and beating different character's chapters unlock new chapters or other game modes. There's also a wii-mote + nunchuck mode. It has several multi-player options as well in which you basically take turns playing the micro-games.The presentation on this game is absolutely wonderful. You can play through each micro-game on it's own (each has three levels) or try to beat your scores for the different characters. The story is just enough to provide some color to why you are doing all this. The characters are all great as always; who doesn't love Mona, Ashley, and 9-volt? Rather than cramming motion controls into what should be a standard-controller game, Smooth Moves is possibly the best demonstration of what the Wii-mote was intended for.

This is such a fun Wii game, probably the most interactive Wii game ever made and probably most fun. The game has lots of comedy and is extremely fun by yourself or with your friends. Here's where the one star deduction comes in and part of it is due to the Wii. The pesky sensor bar sometimes cannot detect certain movements on your Wii remote so it sometimes makes gameplay hard. For example, when you the game tells you do a certain thing, you can see where the Wii remote doesn't register the movement and makes you lose automatically.Overall: This is a great party game when there's not a lot of sensor bar screw ups, BUY IT!

This review will be very simple, I will just list a few pros and cons that I feel are essential to know, so I won't bore you with a huge long review and get right to it!PROS:Casual GamingOne of the best casual games I have ever played. Very easy to pick up and play for a minute of 20 if you wanna.Fun:Extremely fun! i have played almost all games (203 games total) and they are outrageous and hilariousReplay Value:I consider it high!....200+ games, and you can play them over and over again, they will get harder!CONS:Multiplayer:They really dropped the ball here, it honestly sucks! At least the GameBoy version connected the characters together. This just feels like a bunch of games thrown in to one placeBOTTOM LINE:This game is fun and funny. It is a very good casual experience and I recommend you at least rent it. I would not pay more than 20 bucks for it
Smooth Moves is a series of short games requiring constant attention. If you blink, you'll lose a game. You need to be a quick thinker to figure out what each mini game requires. My daughter has played them and finally broke through to allow multi players, which brings it to the forefront whenever the kids have guests. I like the game because it's teaching my kids to pay attention. I do notice, though, that they lean toward some of the Rabbids and Mario games, first. Any time one of their guests asks them to play this, though, they're eager to do so, and the room is filled with laughs.
This has got to be the best Wii game released yet! Over 200 crazy microgames (205 to be exact) to play! Probably the best Warioware additon so far! There are only a few...disadvantages that this game has:1) Lack of Instruction: For every microgame, there are instructions that consist of one or two words and are only shown for a split second before the microgame starts. Most of the microgames have self-explanatory instructions, but a select few are much too vague, and will have you going to the Temple of Form and doing them over and over again until you get them.2) Lack of "Juiciness": When I say juiciness, I mean how fun a game is to play after doing all of the things the game has to offer. After you unlock all of the microgames, minigames, Elephant buildings, etc., the game is pretty much useless, with the only reason to play it being to see how a certain microgame went.... Other than that, this game is great! It has me thinking about getting Warioware: Twisted! already!P.S. If you haven't already noticed, the title screen is like a mini game in itself. Play around with the Wiimote on this screen and see what I mean!
wario ware touched game used full utilization of the touch screen. now wario ware smooth moves uses full utilization with the wii remote. great multiplayer game without the need to use 2 wiimotes, new characters, cool music and creative micro and mini games. just like any wario game in the wario ware series, wario ware smooth moves is a game that requires you to complete a small challenge within a couple of seconds, when you complete that, it goes to another random challenge. the game uses, i think 19 forms. 19 ways to hold the wii remote and each form is explained as a micro game with a new form comes up. there is one downside. normally in wario ware games, there was a mode where you can play each game individually over and over again to complete a high score, for ... Morewario ware touched game used full utilization of the touch screen. now wario ware smooth moves uses full utilization with the wii remote. great multiplayer game without the need to use 2 wiimotes, new characters, cool music and creative micro and mini games. just like any wario game in the wario ware series, wario ware smooth moves is a game that requires you to complete a small challenge within a couple of seconds, when you complete that, it goes to another random challenge. the game uses, i think 19 forms. 19 ways to hold the wii remote and each form is explained as a micro game with a new form comes up. there is one downside. normally in wario ware games, there was a mode where you can play each game individually over and over again to complete a high score, for instance, it would get faster and faster. but this isnt the case in wario ware smooth moves, instead you pick an individual micro game and then choose the speed you want it at and then it will play it 3 times.
This game is a fun change of pace from the platformers, and traditional party games! My 7yr old daughter especially loves it! The game format heavily relies on the Wii motion plus, but with a bit of practice, it’s fairly straightforward! The gameplay seems well rounded enough to be fun whether you’re 7 or 87.The goofy and mild body humor keeps the gameplay from being stale and boring. DK Oldies made the purchase effortless, and even emailed me when this particular title was back in stock!! I have already bought more Nintendo branded party games, and plan to round out my collection over the next several months!I also rest easy knowing that I won’t get scammed by being sold a fake or “remade” copy of a popular game, which the main title Nintendo games are especially ... MoreThis game is a fun change of pace from the platformers, and traditional party games!
