For years I have been using a larger sling bag. My wife thought this would be a nice replacement. She was right. Despite it’s smaller footprint, with all the compartments, it can easily accommodate the iPad, iPhone, wallet, glasses case, several prescription bottles, keys and various other necessary items. We are on our way to becoming best buddies. The only criticism I have is that the little mesh pockets will not hold my 20 oz. water bottles.

This is a great purse/daypack. The weight distribution on your shoulder is PERFECT! Mine is loaded with my phone and a water bottle and I barely feel that it’s there. The fabric is high quality and will be easy to clean. There are a ton of pockets, so everything has its place. My biggest complaint, however, is that it BARELY fits my 10 inch iPad. And I mean barely. It cannot fit in the main compartment sleeve. Okay maybe if it wasn’t in a case… but who’s gonna remove the case? It does fit, but it’s tight and if you want to take it out, it’s not something you can easily do on the move or while the bag is on your shoulder. In my opinion, this bag is simply 1 inch too small. So I gave this 5 stars because its perfect now that I modified it. I sewed down the outside flap so i can just use the zipper as i hate velcro (so i seam ripped that out). Other thing i didnt care for was the small red piece of elastic on the outside. I replaced it with a longer slide elastic and attached that through the loop to keep the flap down. Now i can thread a jacket through the flap. It took me a while to make the modifications but I took the time because it is a great bag and was worth it... It's lightweight and will pack inside my larger backpack, has a comfortable strap thst goes long enough for me to use it as a purse, and has roomy convenient pockets with good zippers. For years I have been using a larger sling bag. My wife thought this would be a nice replacement. She was right. Despite it’s smaller footprint, with all the compartments, it can easily accommodate the iPad, iPhone, wallet, glasses case, several prescription bottles, keys and various other necessary items. The teal fabric is like a synthetic canvas, quite attractive, nearly too feminine for a man, but not quite. Attachment loops on both sides of the base mean the strap can be worn over either shoulder, and slung at the front or back. Loads of pockets, the strap pocket being ideal for a phone. Actually there's so much space that you start wondering why not just get a normal backpack - but it does pack down nice and small for use as a carry-on or breakout bag. Can you fit a laptop in it? No. But it would take a pad-type device, and it has an internal mesh separator for this. There are cheaper, less attractive, smaller alternatives available, and this hasn't become a bag I leave my stuff in by default.

The pouch on the strap fits an iPhone 15 Pro Max in a case with no problems.Cons: The mesh water bottle holders on the side will most certainly NOT hold a bottle of 3" in diameter. I have an 18oz Hydroflask with a 2.75" diameter (fits all car cup holders) and it only fit after about 10 minutes of struggle. I don't need to struggle to get water bottles in and out of a pouch. That doesn't bode well for a day walking around a National Park or something. The main "tablet" pouch will fit an iPad mini in a case, but that's about it. The main compartment will not zip closed around a Surface Pro 9 tablet (although to be fair, they never said it would). This one lacks sufficient texture to work. Minor issues are that unless you have it completely zipped up, the zippers will work themselves open and things fall out. I loved that there were zippers on both sides so you could zip up from each side and leave a small opening at the top allowing you to quickly pull things out. Unfortunately you do need to close completely. It doesn't really matter but what is the point of the zipper on the flap of the outer pocket? Long gone are the days of beautiful bags. Now it is the lightweight ones designed to be functional that catch my eye. I walk the dogs between 1 to 2 hours a day. I had been using a small crossbody bag for all the supplies I need. In summer I have to add at least one bottle of water. I have been getting horrid muscle cramps across my shoulders for quite some time. I did a fair amount of research as to alternatives that would cause less stress and this style was uniformly listed as superior.It came today and even with just the short tryout I can tell that it is a vast improvement. When walking two dogs and needing a cane, my hands are full. It is vital that my supplies be organized. This is light weight and unlike my earlier bag which had a single narrow strap, this one has a wider strap to distribute the weight on my back and can be easily switched from one side to the other as well as to the front and back. There is ample room for poo bags, wet wipes, kleenex, the phone, dog treats and the like. Even fully loaded the weight was distributed in such a manner that I didn't feel any pull on my shoulder. Who knew that quadrupling the strap width would make such a difference..I frequently find that I can't easily adapt for changes in weather as I have no place to store a light jacket when not in use. This will easily hold my super light weight Columbia wind jacket. Ditto for gloves, hat and sunglasses when the weather requires such.I did purchase the expensive $72. original version of this design. It would have been fine as a purse but the straps were neither adjustable side to side nor could they be lengthened to any great degree. This one is pure function and beats the expensive one handsdown.I will update if my opinions change with wear, but at this point I am thrilled to have this bag and it appears like it will work wonderfully for my needs.
Took this on a trail and didn’t felt weighted down. I carried essentials like a power bank, cables, earbuds, wipes, water bottle, phone, keys, wallet, glasses, hat, small camera, hand sanitizer, and even a hand towel and it fit all with still room to store more things. I find myself using this for every day activities like going to the farmers market. It’s rewarding needing something and freaking out only to realize it’s attached to your shoulder. The only downside for me is that it may not be waterproof. I was drenched at the end of a trail and found that my phone was damp from sweat since i had it in the chest pocket. I also love the ability to fold it down for storage purposes

My two small complaints are that while it is somewhat water resistant... it is NOT waterproof. I took it to Costa Rica, a very, very wet place, and anything paper inside this pack (like the paper cards in my wallet in the pack) did get damp. My phone also got waterlogged and gave up the ghost... but that's more on me for not buying a separate water-proof protective pouch for my phone specifically. But other than that, I love this pack. It's super handy, comfortable, lightweight, packs up super small, can handle rough adventures (in dry climates), and fits what I need it to!

This pack fits my small frame so much better than a standard backpack yet it still holds everything I need. My iPhone fits neatly in the strap compartment and is easy to access. A water bottle does not fit in side pocket but easily goes into the pack itself. There are plenty of compartments and lots of space. I wore it on a on-hour hike and it was comfortable. I plan to use it on a trip to Europe where I will wear it in front for security although it would be pretty hard to break into with a strong clip across the main compartment.
