Lid falls into reservoir which contaminates flosser water with dust and bathroom germs that collect on top of lid. Unsanitary. Lid needs a handle or knob -- something to grasp, especially since hands may be wet when using. The tips stored inside lid do not stay in their clips and when you lift lid by the edges, it opens (there is no clasp) and tips tumble out. Again, unsanitary. Needs a way to store excess electric cord so counter space is freed-up. Reservoir does not completely drain and yet also drips when filling it. Really do not like using this product, however, it is effective. WP should re-design this unit. I plan to replace it with another flosser. Would not buy it again.

I purchased this after using a battery powered Waterpik for a couple of years. The battery finally wouldn't hold a charge and can't be (easily) replaced. I didn't buy that one (my wife did), but I hate that the battery can't be replaced, making the whole thing useless junk. This, however, is a great unit. It's way more powerful with an adjustable setting and a bunch of different heads you can use. I only use the basic one and I've only used it at somewhere between 5-6 setting (out of 10). It's *way* more powerful than the battery one ever was and should last a lot longer without the battery to worry about. The footprint it takes up is a bit larger (it's wider than the battery one, but shorter), but it's not really a problem so as long as you have at least a little ... MoreI purchased this after using a battery powered Waterpik for a couple of years. It holds more than enough water to fully get at all my teeth, too, without a refill (whereas the battery one barely had enough). Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. As long as it lasts, I'm good. Really wish we had just bought this one in the first place, but lesson learned. I'd definitely recommend this if you're in the market for a water flosser.

I purchased this to replace the one I had for over 15 years. The previous one sprung a leak in the hose, presumably by cracking. This new one is slightly noisier than the old one and the cord is a tiny bit shorter. Neither one of this things make a whole lot of difference. I usually use this first thing in the morning after brushing my teeth and it makes your mouth feel good and even more clean. I need to start using it at night as well but that is going to take some concentrated effort to create a habit. The coolest part about buying a new one is that I read the instruction booklet again and was reminded of the functions of the various tips so I am now using all of the tips for various purposes. I absolutely love this Waterpik and can't imagine my life without one :)
This is my first Waterpick. For the past 25 years, I've used a rubber tipped pick. My dentist suggested getting one of these. I tried another portable version but found that it ran out of water before I could get to both the top and bottom teeth and it was a pain to refill. This version with the tank doesn't take up a lot of space and is easy to fill. I got a slight discount on an additional set of tips but since it's just for me, I regret buying them. All in all, I'm very happy with it! It leaves my teeth very clean and the various pressures are helpful. Just be careful when switching directions as a direct shot to the back of the throat doesn't feel nice! This is easily avoided by turning it off by the handle switch when moving between top and bottom rows.
I bought this in November 2022 to replace a 5-year old more expensive Waterpik model 660 whose motor evidently burned out (it simply stopped pumping). It should have lasted longer, but it definitely improved my dental health; my dentist commented on it. So I replaced it with this different Waterpik model. Compared with the previous model, this one is less expensive, but does the same cleaning job just as well. Pros: the knob rotating the nozzle is better designed and easier to use; so is the nozzle release button. There is a convenient storage box, which is removable from the unit (on the previous one nozzle storage was built in and less flexible). An assortment of nozzle heads is provided. There is a convenient storage box, which is removable from the unit (on the previous one nozzle storage was built in and less flexible). An assortment of nozzle heads is provided. Cons: clearly much noisier than the previous more expensive model, and lacks a few bells & whistles, such as a timer; that's understandable since it is less expensive and I found I didn’t miss the extras, since the focus is still on dental cleaning, which this unit does well. The removable reservoir cover that doubles as a nozzle storage box is a bit hard to handle and is easily dropped into the reservoir if you aren't precise in placing it, which is a sanitary issue since that's the water going into your mouth. I suggest using 2 hands to make sure this doesn't happen. Overall I am quite satisfied, and hope it lasts longer than the previous one. My dentist recommended using Waterpik and I am glad he did.
My handle leaks from the off/on switch and from the tip release switch. This machine uses water much faster than my previous machine. I do not like the lid design at all. It’s cumbersome to use. I prefer the hinged lid (hinged to top of tank). I can’t tell any difference with this machine than with my 15 year old machine for cleaning my teeth. My old machine finally started having problems after 15 years great service. I prefer the tip storage on the old machine. Arthritic hands will have difficulty taking the lid off the new machine each time to fill tank. I constantly drop the lid, the tips spill everywhere. I finally decided to leave the lid off.
I love the multiple tips that allow you to pick the one you need. It does a great job and the amount of water you can put in it let’s you get all of your teeth thoroughly.I thought the attachment holder on top of the reservoir was cool until I used it the first time. It’s not a very good fit on the reservoir so it falls in it you aren’t very careful how you sit it down or move the unit. Plus, the holder has slots to hold four attachments and with the one on the pick Trash leaves the sixth one no place to go. I like the idea of an attachment container but I would like it to have space to hold all the attachments and if they are going to use that as the lid make out a good fit so that it doesn’t fall in when your try to set it on top of the reservoir, or move the ... MoreI love the multiple tips that allow you to pick the one you need. I am new to using a water pick, though I do find it is oddly satisfying to power wash your teeth after a meal. While I have used floss for years, especially if trapped food can be "felt," I find the water pick has the advantage of cleaning out the crease at the edge of the gum line at the same time. (Yes, a tooth brush can do the same, but that is two steps)Using this is relatively easy. One quick lesson learned is to make sure the water reservoir is pressed into place securely or the valve will not open. I found this out when trying to prime it for the first time. (Priming should only take a few seconds) Another lesson learned it to use warmer water since spraying one's teeth with cool water can be less comfortable.Similar to others' reviews, this will make a ... MoreI am new to using a water pick, though I do find it is oddly satisfying to power wash your teeth after a meal. Since using a mirror is not logistically feasible, it helps to GENTLY feel the nozzle drag along the gum line and cracks between your teeth to make sure you do not miss anything. Finally, as I run the tap to get the water warm, and fill the reservoir, I am reminded of the old reminder to turn off the faucet when brushing one's teeth. Using this unit will ultimately waste water, unless you keep it in an areas that is constantly used and stays warm. I am not sure if I really want to keep this in my kitchen though....Overall, and expensive addition to teeth cleaning that adds an additional level of clean....
I've used different models of Waterpik Water Flossers but wasn't that serious about flossing. As you get older, you learn! I recently purchased the rechargeable version to try out. While it was OK, the water tank was tiny. Also, the pressure is not adjustable. The Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser is the bees knees! It has a larger capacity water tank. Most importantly, the pressure is adjustable. There are 6 tips included for just about preference. The tank lid serves as storage for the extra tips.Other features that I like: Power switch for the main unit (not too loud), power switch for the pressure thingy, and attractive design. My teeth and gums feel much better after just two days of usage! So much better than manual flossing!
