WaterRower Oxbridge Rowing Machine

We have had ours for 3 years now, and it is FABULOUS! Such a good workout, and my whole body feels it. It’s high quality wood, and it has held up great, even with two little yahoos running around trying to play on it. My husband loves it too, and honestly, this thing is the MVP of our workout room. This mom bod is grateful for WaterRower! Their customer service is excellent too. They send water purification tablets whenever you need them to keep the green out of the water.

A Beautifully Crafted Rowing Machine

I recently received my Oak Waterrower, I had been waiting for it for a little over 10 weeks, and although JL says it's an 8 week delivery, with the Covid Crisis its was completely understandable, as it is made in the USA. It took about an hour to put it together and fill the tank ready to be used the next day. The service I received from John Lewis was very good, keeping me updated on the expected delivery and taking time to check my delivery did take place when expected. The rower is beautiful, easy use, even makes a relaxing watery sound when in use, close your eyes and you could be on the water and it looks like a lovely piece of furniture in the room when stowed away. I happily recommend this rowing machine and John Lewis as suppliers.

Amazing rower!

The rower was delivered within three business days after placing the order. Item arrived perfectly packed and was extremely easy to assemble (did this by myself, effortlessly). The hardest part was carrying it into the house, as the main box is heavy and bulky. I had to help the Purolator delivery person! Assembly was very easy and requires no tools other than those provided. Beautiful, solid rowing machine. I’m delighted with it as with the service received from Northern Fitness.

Excellent Product

Great service via John Lewis as ever and the Water Rower company seem to match this high standard.Really easy to put the rower together - took about 15 mins to assemble and maybe another 5 to fill the water tank (siphon pump gizmo could be better/more efficient, but you only use it occasionally so not a problem).It's an absolute pleasure to use - I'm addicted to the swooshing sound already and it's a good workout and so easy to flex levels of intensity (just pull harder and faster for more resistance just like proper rowing). The wood is great quality and aesthetically pleasing, meaning that this has beautifully addressed my issue of "won't use gym equipment unless it's easily accessible, but don't want ugly kit out on view". It's more like a nice piece of wooden furniture when stowed upright and takes seconds to re-position for use.The 'free accessories' kit of heart monitor, dual density seat pad and ergonomic handles was a little less impressive (and - like others we had to trawl google to find instructions to fit the heart monitor receiver). So far I'm not vastly impressed by the heart monitor - it doesn't seem to like me and drops signal. The seat pad is ok; the ergo handles are ugly but really functional, no blisters so far.But overall I'm totally in love with the product and highly recommend it. After all House of Card fans what could be better than pretending to be Frank Underwood whilst getting a good cardio workout ;-)

Good rowing machine to use, but...

It is a lovely rowing machine to look at and most importantly to use, but the edges of the Footboard are not flush with the edges of the Top Deck and there is no adjustment to put this manufacturing error right.The edges are misaligned by 3mm. When you are using the machine you look directly at this misaligned join, you cannot miss it. The rowing machine used in the Home Training DVD also has this defect.This rowing machine came with a Cardio Fit Kit accessory, but it requirers you to unscrew and dismantle the back of the S4 monitor and plug in a printed circuit board and tape it in place. There were no instructions with the fit kit to tell you how to do this, I had to just work it out for myself. Verdict: WaterRower needs to raise its game if it wants to charge a £1000.

Great exercise machine

This really is an excellent piece of equipment for overall fitness and you set the pace and level depending on your input which is perfect. Even after just a few weeks I can go longer and feel much fitter. Only gave it 4 stars because it arrived with a piece of protective tape missing but I contacted the company who sent a replacement immediately.

Loving my rower!

I absolutely love this rower. It's comfortable, effective, looks beautiful, and sounds great when in use. Must admit that I found the assembly frustrating and finicky, but once it was assembled, I became a big fan. I had to contact the customer service department initially about a piece that arrived broken, and they were fantastic. I'd purchase from this company again. Highly recommend.

Superb quality

I bought this WaterRower after trying several rowing machines along with a friend. It was clearly the best built and most attractive of the machines on offer. Delivery was prompt and assembly was straightforward, although it takes two people. The machine is very smooth to use, and the monitor provides plenty of useful information as well as being programmable for targets. It's easy to manoeuvre the machine and it takes up remarkably little space when standing. It also looks very smart - more like a sculpture than an exercise machine! I have to admit that I stopped using the machine after a few months but that's because rowing isn't for me (I'm happier with standing exercise) and I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who's definitely looking for a rowing machine.

Water Rower

We absolutely love it. We rec'd our rower a week after ordering it. It was simple to assemble because it is very well built - everything lined up perfectly. We have both already used it a few times over a 24 hour period and couldn't be happier. What a great product - what a great work out!! Ps. Support local!!

Waterrower Wow!

Got my Waterrower last week. Had been looking at them for years. Very easy to put together. Solid construction. Easy to wheel from family room to storage spot. Most of all I love the action. Great exercise. Reminds me of rowing my dinghy on the Bay of Fundy as a kid. Just what I was looking for. The swoosh of the water is mesmerizing.
