I was given a copy of the game “Wavelength” by Tryazon for my honest review. At home, we played the game as 4 people and it was a lot of fun. My teenage boys really it. Then at game night we played with 10 adults and 3 other tees. The adults loved it and the teens thought it was funny to yell comments at us! The game is a lot of fun and depending on the clue giver and how well you know each other you can be spot on or waaayyyy off! One clue that everyone had a problem with was "normal to own vs. unusual to own." The clue given was "refrigerator." Both sides thought this is something that everyone owns, so the dial must be all the way to the left. When it was revealed, the target area was dead center and we all balked. Jen said she loved that Wavelength was all contained in one box and would be a great game to take camping.

My group had looked at this game in the past, and we finally had the opportunity to play! We liked the player versatility (2-12 players), but agreed that it probably works best with at least 6-8 so that there are enough people to fuel discussion! It's a fairly straightforward game that is easy to set up and start playing (the entire game is played within the box and just passed around!), but it also has extensive clue-giving rules (some of which are "firm," others are "suggestions") to help you avoid guesses that will ruin the fun and to help you determine which suggested rules will work best for your game night! Wavelength is a fun game where the object of the game is for the team's "psychic" to lead them as closest to the center of the target and the spectrum using only one word clue and two opposing concept card. Since, the "psychic" is the only one who knows where the target is on the spectrum dial. For example, the concept card is between cheap and expensive and the target is closest to the extreme right. The "psychic" then gives a clue of Louis Vuitton. The team would more than likely put the dial to the right in hopes that they got it as close to the hidden target. I received this complimentary in exchange for my honest review.

This game is very easy to play. Just spin the wheel, draw a card, clue giver looks at hidden score board, then cover scoreboard back up, give a clue that you think your team would guess the closest to the hidden scoreboard, team selects the position of the dial, reveal the scoreboard, get points, repeat until you reach 10 points. This game can get very competitive. You want to give a clue that your team would get, but not too easy of a clue that the other team could steal your points. It was a very fun game once we started playing it and understood the rules and object of the game a little better. When we first read the directions it was a little hard to understand, but once we watched the YouTube tutorial, it was much clearer. And once we started playing we quickly ... Wavelength is a really fun game to add to board game night! In the game, teams use their knowledge of each other to try to determine where on a spectrum their target is located. For each round a Psychic gives a single clue pertaining to the target location the team needs to dial as close to as possible on the spectrum. The highest scoring clue for our team was “Young John Travolta” on a spectrum of “Less Attractive - More Attractive”. I really recommend Wavelength. This game would be too difficult for children to understand; ideally, similar generations for adults would help for giving clues.
I love how much discussion this game has! it was fun to play with friends and get to know them better here are some of the fun conversations we had How sturdy is a chair? How pleasant is it to touch slime? How addictive is Diet coke? How talented is Michael Jordan? How cool are converse? How useful is your nose in comparison to your other body parts? How good a habit is washing your car? How delicious are Cheerios? And many more..... the components are good. I like that you use the box as the main playing area and you can pass it around while playing on the couch. overall super fun game!

I received a copy of Wavelength to try from Asmodee USA. What a delight this game was! It was quick to set up and easy to play. Our group of six had a great time learning about where we felt Broccoli fell on the scale of Healthy to Unhealthy - Is there anything more healthy? We looked at whether moving out was a Need or a Want. Our group had a newcomer and this was a great introduction game and made it easy to break the ice. The game play was quick, fun, and we definitely will be adding this to our regular game rotation. We especially loved that this was a large group game and that it could be modified for smaller groups too. The versatility was a real highlight. We also loved that there was an App sp that we could all play remotely as well.
This is a great date night game. It’s a fun way to see if you and your partner on the same wavelength. Our older children enjoyed it and liked giving clues. There is some downtime between rounds while the clue giver thinks of a clue. This was a pro for our adult friend game nights because we got to visit but for the kids it made it harder to keep their attention. We downloaded the game on the app though and the kids loved it and were much more engaged. Five stars as a game for video calls with family.
Wavelength is a super fun game where teams must use their best knowledge of each other to determine what the "psychic" or clue giver is trying to get them to think. there are two categories such as "hot" and "cold" that the clue giver is trying to describe based on where the set of points is on the board. This leads into some pretty hilarious or serious discussion until the team decides where to set the dial. The opposing team also gets a chance to score as well. Wavelength is definitely a staple to add to any board game collection.
