WD-40 Dry Lube 100ml Grey

Fast shipping. Last than 4 days after order placed. 1st time buying WD40 dry lube for lubricating my bike chains. Been using other brands such as Finish Line. Didn't like WD40. the oil viscosity is too low compared to others. It dripped like water the minute I applied to my chains. This was done after shaking the bottle well as instructed. So, its wasteful to watch the excess oil dripping away to the floor. Price is reasonably cheap. Not sure how this new WD40 oil will work against dusty conditions.

Fantastic for Mountain Bikes!

Since purchasing my first mountain bike a year ago, I've quickly come to realize the importance of a high quality chain lube. I've used quite a few brands so far and this WD-40 chain lube is my favorite. I enjoy riding in the winter, but regular snows cause plenty of wet and muddy conditions. This is the first chain lube that I've found that works great in both of these conditions. I apply before my ride on a clean chain and get back home with the chain looking great. It really does seem to repel most (if not all) of the mud and water. I haven't used this much in dry conditions, so not sure how it would work there, but am beyond pleased with the performance in wet muddy conditions. Great quality as I've come to expect with WD-40.

I bought this before I had this account

So this stuff is not made by a bike company which tells me that it would not be that good anyway. This oil is for wet conditions and will attract dirt like crazy. BTW WD-40 is not known for being good as lubricant as much as getting bolts loose. I would not buy this again. I suggest you get something from Muc-Off, Squirt, Finish Line, etc. because they specialize in bikes and are run by bikers instead of a company that makes “lubricant”.

Probably the best Dry Lube for bike chain!

I tried so many Dry Lubes out in the market. Some are wax-based with some kind of ethanol that evaporates and others are just too thin and wears out super quick after one ride. I had my reservations with WD-40 since they're only famous for their usual bolt loosener spray, but I gave it a shot after being disappointed with so many other dry lubes. As it turns out, this lube was fairly liquidy. However, it is thin oil that you're applying to the chain and not some fluid that'll evaporate and leave your chain completely dry. That is not what a dry lube is supposed to do.This lube actually gets into the links, pins, and rollers. The chain plates do not need any lubrication as it'll pick up dirt and fine dust. This should last you at least 5 mountain bike rides or even a whole year for commuter bikes in dry conditions. I put this on my commute bike riding in rain and it was still fine, but I would have to re-lube with this WD-40 Dry lube more often or put on the wet lube. In salty streets during winter, put on the wet lube often as no dry lube will last even one ride and your chain will definitely rust and kink up.

Strong Chemical Smell

This is headed for the dumster away from the house. There is a persistent strong smell with this product. I had to wash contact areas several times to get this smell out. I do not recommend no matter how well it may lubricate, although it won't be around long enogh for me to test it out.

I don't care how well this product lubricates, since it won't be around long enough to be tested. On second thought, I'm going to return this to Walmart, wrapped in a foodsaver bag for mutual protection.

Too early to tell, but ...

38.5 of these in a Canadian or imperial gallon. $11 per 118 ml equates to about 423 per gallon. Is somebody gouging somebody else? And how can I rate a chain oil without riding thousands of miles? Okay, the bottle doesn't leak when turned upside down, but many drops go spurting out before you get it on the chain, unless of course you operate like a surgeon.

Worked for what I needed it for

I cleaned my chain with the WD-40 Bike chain degreaser, let it dry and applied this onto my $700.00 bike. The smell that everyone is complaining about in the reviews did not bother me as it disappeared after 1 ride. I've never used any other dry bike chain lube so I cannot compare. Other then that this stuff did the job, my bike ride after I applied the lube was quite and the gear changes were smooth once again.

They are engineered for different chains/RPMs/conditions.Second, I use "DRY" on my gravel bike, and it works just fine in all conditions. I also like to keep my chain and cassette/deraliuer spotless and lubed between rides.
