Good Silicon, poor nozzle

Bought this after seeing the excellent reviews. The smart nozzle was the main reason I bought this one rather than the cheaper alternatives. Brought it back home and got ready to use it. As I pulled the nozzle up, it went wonky and that was it! No excessive force used although it wasn't obvious how far up to pull it but at no time did I force it. When I looked carefully at the smart nozzle I coul see how flimsily it was made - the little plastic pins inside had bent - not surprising given how small, soft and bendy they are. Fortunately I could still use it with just the straw. I would advise being very gentle if you buy one.

As a lover of the "Classic" WD40, as most of you are, I was using it for everything, for rusted bolts, water repellant on car electrics, and protection against sea spray. ( I had been filming with the Royal Navy around the World)Now there is this superb product, different from the classic WD40, and it keeps working at a wide range of extreme temperatures. Would have been helpful when I was in -35C temperatures a few years back!It creates a protective layer on gears and keeps the wood dust from accumulating on mechanisms, and I am now a huge fan!

Bought this for my 03 g35. Bushings and linkages needed lubrication. Light squeaking entering or leaving driveways. Let the car sit for about an hour, then removed stands and took the car for a drive. NOT ONE LITTLE TINY SQEAK, nothing and to blow my mind even more the steering response is more crisp and smooth. Non-stick cleaner?
3 October 2020

There's many obvious uses for this lubricant in an excellently design tin. However, my latest success has been cleaning the seals around all my UPVC windows. After 20 + years some windows have become particularly difficult to open as they would stick to the frames and no amount of washing seemed to help. Applying this silicon lubricant to a cotton cloth and wiping it round the seals removed unbelievable amounts of black dirt! Once cleaned, one more application left the seals with their original black shine and no more sticking. A few more squirts in the mechanism and they all freed up too especially after a couple of weeks for it to work it's way in.

Solved car suspension creaks : easily.
5 August 2023

My 2012 Honda Jazz had most annoying creaking sounds from passenger side.. but only at low speeds when turning: eg parking. No noises at speed. No clunks,, just creaking.Sprayed front suspension upper mount (from under the wheelarch ) and ant roll bar bushes at rear of engine with WD40 Silicone. (car jacked up, on full lock for access)Sprayed rear suspension rubber suspension cushions on both coil spring - grovel job, no jacking.Result no creaking!Easy to use, directional spray makes precise application easy.

Used on treadmill. *RECOMMEND*
20 September 2021

I purchased this for my treadmill. Haven't been used for at least 10 years. Made some clonking noises from the rollers, used WD-40 Specialist Silicone and the clonking stopped. Saved me getting a repair man/women out and new rollers. So far treadmill is working as it suppose to. Best leave it to rest for another 10 years only joking but an instant solution. Top rated

WD-40 Silicone

Used this WD-40 Silicone spray to 'unstick' the driver's side window on my car. I thought I was in for an expensive repair, but no. After using the silicone spray, which is waterproof, the window slides up and down freely. Brilliant stuff. I'm sure there'll be plenty of other uses where you need WD-40, but need protection from water also.

This is great stuff to use on any tracks and hinges, I’ve also used it on padlocks. Seems to last longer than the usual WD40. Really like the connected spay attachment, much easier to use. Shame it doesn’t come in a larger size. Really recommend.

WD40 Contact Cleaner
3 May 2019

I bought this on the strength of reviews on another site, which recommended it for cleaning up solar garden lamps. We have several (12 to be precise) that are 4 or more years old and had stopped working because of corrosion from rain; this was in the battery terminals and the ON/OFF switches. I was somewhat sceptical but it was worth a try and I had 100% success. If anyone is going to do the same, I would advise that I found it took at least 5 goes to clean the switches. Squirt some in there and then rock the switches off and on till the movement feels good and then they worked. Battery terminals took very little effort, even those that were very rusty. Spray some on and use cotton buds to clean up.

Works great for...everything.
30 June 2022

I've randomly tried this stuff, aside from the obvious. I used it on my kitchen cabinets, sink, counter top, faucets, and garbage can. Makes it waterproof and keeps everything clean because nothing can stick toit. I used it on my tub surround, faucets, and on the calk. The water beads right off and both the walls and caulk stay clean from mildew because it blocks the water from sitting, and the faucets shine nicely. I have also used it on my ash tray. It works great for keeping the ashes from sticking to it. And none of the things I've used it on have a slimy sticky film on them, like other products. My next experiments will be a folding table I leave outside for plants, an mdf desk I have outside for my plants, and the plastic fan blades for outside. Great stuff.
