Installation for the 500GB SSD was easy and didn’t take me long to install in my desktop. My motherboard had the right specs so no other modification was needed on my machine. Note that no screws were included in the package for the install. For reference, I am a beginner level nerd. As a precaution I always like to back up my files just in case something goes wrong, in this case I had no problems after installation. My machine continues to run smooth; it didn’t crash at any time. Load time was super-fast most games loaded under 10 seconds, which is a considerable improvement. The redemption game code for the full Battlefield game is valid and is separately included inside the box in a small pamphlet form, the website to redeem is: wdblack.com/redeem-BF. 5-year ... MoreInstallation for the 500GB SSD was easy and didn’t take me long to install in my desktop. The game was what I expected modern weapon gameplay. For the price point and the performance, it is worth purchasing in my opinion. I was considering Samsung but opted to give this one a try to stay within my budget and the fact that the Battlefield game was included.

2042 is simply amazing, said from the white flashes in the middle of a gun fight the game provides great features the grappling hook to boost myself up to a higher point. All out warfare is good and I can’t wait for more people to join. Up to 128 players is crazy. Tanks and helicopters all play into making this game a huge success. I’m going to be playing this a lot to unlock new maps and features with new weapons. So far this is my favorite.

The Western Digital black SN750 se NVMe SSD is one of the best SSD I have tested, at first look the black head sink looks amazing, I have used it for about a week and can’t find a more suitable replacement for my desktop.I tested this SSD by installing windows 10 and windows 11, in windows 10 the boot time was incredible I was replacing an old SSD I had, the old one was booting up in about 43 seconds so I was impressed to see this drive booting up in 28 seconds, by running the WD_BLACK SSD Dashboard I was able to get the boot time down to 16 seconds, not that was exactly what I was looking for, the speed of the drive was incredible even writing and reading multiple files (about 1GB per file) I was able to get a steady 3000 MB/s, mind you it was running on the ... MoreThe Western Digital black SN750 se NVMe SSD is one of the best SSD I have tested, at first look the black head sink looks amazing, I have used it for about a week and can’t find a more suitable replacement for my desktop.I tested this SSD by installing windows 10 and windows 11, in windows 10 the boot time was incredible I was replacing an old SSD I had, the old one was booting up in about 43 seconds so I was impressed to see this drive booting up in 28 seconds, by running the WD_BLACK SSD Dashboard I was able to get the boot time down to 16 seconds, not that was exactly what I was looking for, the speed of the drive was incredible even writing and reading multiple files (about 1GB per file) I was able to get a steady 3000 MB/s, mind you it was running on the highest settings the included Dashboard software, one thing I found is that it heats up to about 60 Celsius so I was a little worried about testing it on my laptop, but after tweaking around the software I was able to get stable to 45 Celsius. Now let’s talk about the gaming performance.I was amazed at the speed this drive work with games, I was able to install and old game just to test how fast this drive can be, so I tested it with Crysis, and the speed of the SSD was so good that I was able to run the game on a big 55’ inch LED with a steady 60 FPS, now after that I was intrigued by the SSD so I went ahead and tested to see how fast it could go, so I went ahead and played a few other games Minecraft and a few other minor games like Timeshift and Legacy of Kain Defiance which is not really up to date after that I went ahead and went for a more up to date game like Back 4 Blood and it was running really good, giving me a much better performance that I was expecting. After a few hours of game play I went ahead and installed a fresh copy of windows 11, now this OS seems to work better that the win 10 giving me a boot time of 11 seconds after setting up the included Dashboard, I was really happy with this SSD and I actually called my buddies and told them to by one ASAPIn the end I decided to use this SSD on my laptop and the results are about the same it was giving me on my high performance PC, now my laptop is not meant for gaming so I just did a few tests just to find myself with the same performance it gave me on my read and write test.Overall I really loved this drive I just ordered a few more cause it’s amazing how the new 3D NAND technology really makes a difference.

I received this WD Black SN750 SE NVMe SSD Battlefield 2042 PC game code bundle in the mail and it is amazingly fast. We installed in our computer for the kids to play. Not sure about the game code yet cause the game has not officially been released. The 500 GB memory stick is super fast it really increases the size of memory for gaming. It made a big difference in our computer with speed and graphics. They are really gonna love it when the game is officially released. This is an awesome upgrade to our computer for the kids which love gaming.
Initially, the purpose of getting the SSD (Solid State Drive) was to upgrade my HDD (hard disk drive, and that alone was an exceptional investment; maps that normally take minutes to load now wake a matter of seconds, so the fast, affordable solid state storage alone with worthwhile. Essentially, the Battlefield 2042 game was a bonus to me, but what a bonus! The game is exceptionally captivating and entertaining. I can recommend this bundle to anyone who wants fast, reliable storage OR a great game!
I think the WD_Black SN750 SE NVMe SSD BattleField 2042 PC Game Code Bundle from Western Digital is an amazing product. It has very long capacity. My favorite feature is that it includes tools for great performance optimization and speed. It includes sequential read for less waiting time loading levels and the dynamic maps and this helps a lot, because that means more time playing, specially for us with busy schedules. I will definitely will recommend it to my friends. I hope to buy similar products in the future.
I bought this new SN750 NVMe drive to move my OS from a Crucial SSD. This drive is noticeably faster. Installation was easy, but I did have trouble cloning my OS to this drive without corruption errors. I ended up backing up my pertinent files and fresh installing windows. Since the motherboard or CPU didn't change, Windows recognized my computer and I did not need to repurchase the OS. That being said and really at no fault to the drive, everything else has gone smoothly. PROS: - The drive is fast: The box says read/writes up to 3400MB/s sequentially. However I've found mine, without any cache enhancements, to be about 2900MB/s. Still very fast. With RAM caching of 4GB (which is what I typically use), read/writes came in about 8000MB/s. See the attached benchmark images for no enhancement runs and with enhancement runs. For reference, with caching my Crucial SSD where the OS used to be would average about 800MB/s. - Temps are solid: My motherboard included a m.2 heatsink which I am using for this. The m.2 slot on my board for the NVMe primary slot is right under the graphics card. So, when that starts putting out some heat, this thing will heat up a little as well. Even with that temperatures are in very respectable ranges. After running my benchmarks for the drive, the average was 41C and hottest was 44C, as seen in the image. After a gaming session, the peak temperature I've seen for the drive was 55C, but typically stays under 48C. - Price: The prices for 3D NAND drives have been coming down and probably will continue to do so. Last year at this time, a 500GB drive was about $250. I picked this one up for $120. These will probably come down some more from there. All good news for us consumers. CONS: My only con would be the issues I had with cloning the drive, most of which are not really related to this drive, but more related to the cloning software and my OS. My final thoughts on this are: this drive performs very close to the Samsung 970 Plus drive. They are also about the same price. The Samsung and this are about the fastest drives you can buy at this price-point and are essentially interchangeable. The SN750 is vastly superior to an SSD, and the differences are noticeable in everyday use. WD products in my experience have been reliable with no drive failing for me in the past. So to anyone looking to get this, I would recommend.
If you bought this product for the Battlefield 2042 code and you feel like you've been robbed, go back and look at the instructions again. They did a woopsie on the URL in the English instructions, but not on the other languages. Refer to the photo, I guess they forgot the dash between ""redeem"" and ""BF"" by mistake. There, you'll be able to claim the code after inputting your date of birth and all that. As for the SSD, yeah it's damn fast. Tested it on ArmA 3 and it loads Malden in under 10 seconds easily. Highly recommend with that $115 price point.
I used this to upgrade an older laptop I had sitting around. It didn't have much memory and was pretty slow to use. The new SSD made my computer run more quickly and made an OS upgrade feasible. I love that rather than buy a whole new machine I could install a new SSD and with a few other updates I pretty much have a brand new computer. Talk about an eco-friendly solution! Our house is looking forward to playing Battlefield 2042 when it is available - really cool that it comes with the game as well!
So far so GREAT! Before going to far I'm an intermediate computer nerd. I can tinker, build, install and troubleshoot somewhat, installs and building are the easy part for me. All the computer jargan with speeds and yadda yadda doesnt really register with me until I research things and gain an understanding. Otherwise Bought this for my higher end Gigabyte GA Z97MX Gaming 5 mobo v1 from 2014, yes 2014 because the pc is still running great. I was running off an old western digital sata 1tb hd and that thing ran like a sloth, I forget may not even write at 7k and the disk usage was always at 100%... fastforward 5 years I finally gave in and filled the M.2 slot with this bad boy (250gig). I was running off an old western digital sata 1tb hd and that thing ran like a sloth, I forget may not even write at 7k and the disk usage was always at 100%... fastforward 5 years I finally gave in and filled the M.2 slot with this bad boy (250gig). Good news first I haven't gamed with it yet but as for booting times and overall quickness I give it 4 thumbs up. My boot time has gone from 5min to about 30 seconds. Opening basic programs like discord and steam has gone from slow motion to fast forward. I can comfortably call myself an idiot for not getting an ssd as soon as they were available. Now here is where my novice skills came in. At first I could not get windows to install on this, windows registered the ssd but my mobo bios did not. So after trial and me only assuming driver and bios version issues I had to contact a friend. My assumptions were right and the bios was out of date so we flashed it and boom the ssd registered on all fronts and install was a breeze. So if you have my mobo gigabyte sold this backwards. They made the M.2 Pcie ssd technology available but did't make the mobo able to utilize it right away. It looks like it took 4 versions of the bios until the ssd could be read which really confused us and is kind of backwards, so thanks gigabyte... not wd's fault. So with this said, this thing is super fast for my build and I'm absolutely in love. Can'y wsit to see the load time on high demand games. BUY IT!
