Weber 7138 Premium Grill Cover - Spirit II 2 Burner

This is the second cover that I bought for my grill. The first was thicker fabric and lasted 4 years in the open elements of hot sun, rain, cold. frost and more of the same every year. This one is very light because of the thinner material. Cheaper made, and priced higher. What a world we live in. Lets see how long this one holds up. Not holding my breath on this one.

We came to Home Depot for a few select items and decided to see about their Weber grills before going to another hardware store chain. The staff was incredible going out of their way to help us. They matched the price from that chain and brought out the boxed unassembled grill. There was one assembled one and the staff said we could purchase that one instead. My son just moved from his apt to a home that day and we would never had time to build the grill so having a ready to go grill really made his day. We fixed steaks for dinner! Thanks Home Depot!

Also fits KitchenAid 2 Burner Grill

Wanting to purchase a grill cover from a local store, I found this cover to fit my Kitchener 2 burner grill, although it has Weber written on it. I was mostly concerned with quality and with fit. This cover is 42 Tall x 27 deep x 48 wide according to box. It is a bit larger only by 2" for width and depth that I needed. I really like the fact that the side grill shelves can be lowered on my KitchenAid grill and this cover can be adjusted with velcro type fasteners. Appears to be good quality, yet only time will tell. If I experience severe weather here in NC, I'll use a bungee cord to secure the cover so it won't blow off. I'll mention, this cover will be outside in the weather, yet not in direct sunlight each day, so hopefully, it'll last several years. Cover too tight, material too thin

This grill cover was supposed to fit my Weber Spirit 200 but is such a tight fit and made of such thin material that pulling it on and off will probably wear a hole in it before long. The velcro strips on the sides of the cover are useless because, again, it is too tight to begin with. Although it is a "Weber" branded item it appears to be a very cheap knockoff. Will probably end up returning.

Does not stay on in windy conditions

I bought this as it was lighter than my previous cover and I needed a new one. I like the material, but as others have noted, the velcro tabs do not hold in windy weather. In the few weeks I have owned this, it has blown off multiple times. There should be longer velcro straps to keep it in place, not short connections that don't hold up to wind. It should not be that difficult to put on the cover, but trying to make the adjustments to keep the cover on is very frustrating.

Durable...but those Velcro ties are the worst!

I have had my cover for 3-4 years and have never been fully satisfied with it. The material is fine - no issues with durability, but the Velcro straps that are used to fit it to the grill are useless. Living in the mountains of NC, we have some strong winds. The Velcro won't stand up to them!I finally turned to using tie-down straps. Not something I would buy again.

Expensive for what it is

I don't think this cover was made for the grill it is supposed to fit (I searched the website with my exact model number) or maybe I got a bad one. The cover is short and tight, hard to put on, one of the hook and loop tapes are put in an awkward place and the seams don't align well with the corners. This thing costs just under $80 but I have an older grill and it's hard to find anything online at other sites so I thought it would be worth the high price.

The cover itself is made of a durable strong material, however, the strap system is deeply flawed. The straps are sewn flat to the cover itself, so you have to fold the cover 6 different times at the top and 4 times at the base to secure it and it still blows off because the weight of the cover pulls the straps lose. Not to mention when you want to put the cover back on it is not quick and easy, you’re out there for a few minutes trying to fold all the “straps” together. Try that when a rain storm blew it off late at night and your out there fighting the wind trying to fold this thing back together. They need to redesign with lose strap tethers that you can quickly wrap around and eliminate the need to have to make folds. In store purchase was an awesome experience due to a very pleasant and friendly sales associate who answered all my questions and was patient with me through the whole process. Once home I can share the Weber grill instructions were easy to follow; the packaging of the parts to assemble within the large box well wrapped ensuring no damaged parts. Taking my time it took be about 75 minutes to assemble. As this is my third Weber gas grill I look forward to many BBQ outings with friends and family. A quality made product and will be protected from the weather with the Weber grill cover.

It did take some time to assemble, but the instructions were very clear all the way through. Although it is still early days using this grill (less than one month), I like the way it cooks the food. It doesn't burn the way it did on my own grill. Rather, the cooking has been even and the meat is not as prone to becoming overdone quickly (even hot dogs). The only drawback that I see so far has been the cleaning. The slits in the burner are small and narrow, which probably makes them efficient, but they already became clogged with grease in a few spots on one occasion and I had to scrub them with a wire brush to open them all up, so that the ... MoreRelatively straightforward to assemble.
