I purchased my Baby Q online, direct from Weber, about a month ago. So far I'm very happy with it, not just its usability but also with its compact and easy to store nature.Given my satisfaction with the buying experience and build quality, I subsequently purchased a Baby Q cover, side tables and 1/2 hot plate. Once again shipping was quick, and I was happy with the products. I particularly like how the side tables store away inside the bbq itself. No real cons so far, other than the screws to secure the side tables, didn't seem to pair particularly well to any screwdrivers in my arsenal, causing some very minor scratching. As an after-thought, given the Baby 's size and portability I will likely purchase the duffle bag for ease of transport and storage, and use ... I have had a Baby Q Premium for over 10 years and it has been great. Now have it attached to a slide out in our new caravan with gas attachment to the van. I have been advised that this cooker is now illegal without the BarBQ having flame cutout protection. Is there a Baby Q available with flame protection or if not, does Weber plan to introduce such to their Baby Q range?

Purchased 14 months ago. Local Auckland NZ retailerGood, but not a great, BBQ.Weber seem to have lost their way/focus on the Q series and the quality on the more recent models is far inferior compared to the older Baby Q (that was stolen, hence the replacement!).No end of issues in the 14 months of ownership… ceramic coating on the grill degraded and the grill rusted within the first 6 months, retailer refused to warranty it!Issues with both the ignitor and the jet after 12 months. No replacement parts available in NZ! Was quoted a 3 month wait just for a new igniter, at $70!!!Truly abysmal back-up service and parts availability in NZ. We’ve tried just about every Weber retailer in Auckland but came away empty handed and stuck with an almost unusable ... MorePurchased 14 months ago. The new ones are cheap, unreliable and extremely poor back up by both Weber and retailers.

I've had this for a little over a month now and have used it a couple of times a week since. Perfect size for me, being small it heats up quickly and doesn't waste gas heating up a larger area than I require. Getting the half hotplate also makes it perfect for grilling meat on one side, and my veg on the other. Or smashed burgers, breakfast bacon and eggs, etc. Getting a little smoker box and leaving it in from turning it on adds a nice smokey flavour.
I am so pleased with my purchase of the Weber Q1200. I had a large Weber and it did a good just b, but it was too large and I stopped using i. It sat there for 4 years with little use. I sold that one and bought the Weber Q. I love the colour (red) and the convenience of it. I was surprised at how many people you could cater for using it. I roast meats & chicken, cook chops and veggies and at the end of it all it’s so easy to clean
Everyone has one so I thought it must be pretty good, and it can be, but it comes without the flat plate which you need to buy separately. Why they don’t at least do half and half is beyond me, probably because they know we’ll spend another $59 if they don’t. My steaks stewed on the grill plate, the heat wasn’t right, the gas holes get covered in fat. Then you need the trolley and the sides to rest your plate on. It all adds up and at the end of the day it’s pretty average. I don’t hate it, but I also don’t think it’s all it’s cracked up to be either. I think people just like the brand and want to keep up with the Johnses.
I bought my BabyQ 6months ago and loved it so much that I recently bought one as a gift for my friend. I have used a Weber Q for 10 years, but recently passed it on to my son. The Baby Q is my replacement. For those of us who have travelled around the sun more than 70 times; who strength is not what it used to be, and who now feed a smaller tribe; the Baby Q is perfect. PLUS, we can take it away camping.
Complete waste of money. Okay for roast but purchased grill plate. Majority of food sticks to it. Sent plate back and returned to me with photos cooking eggs. Don’t try pancakes as stick. Told me don’t cook bacon on the grill??? Anything that won’t go through the gaps use that side????Definitely won’t be recommending it. Also told me to clean after usage with bicarbonate soda and white vinegar. Better take that away as well.Used the
I needed to replace my large BBQ and decided to go with something smaller that I can use at home as well as camping etc..The Weber baby Q is honestly the best BBQ I’ve owned. It wasn’t cheap with accessories but as the saying goes you pay for what you get. This BBQ is seriously good quality, looks good, easy to clean and cooks like a treat. You will be surprised how everything tastes better due to the way it cooks and gets the heat and smoke circulating around the meat. I highly recommend this to anyone with a family of 4 or less, you won’t be disappointed, it is seriously good.
When my old Baby Q died after 18 years of constant use I went looking for a replacement. Was there anything out there thats better?Salesmen steered me a Ziggy. Seemed a copy of the Q, but you cant tell how well they cook in a showroom. All you can do is look at it try to guess whether its any good or better. But from front-on, I got a shock when I realised my therapist had not cured me of my chronic arachnophobia that I thought I had previously suffered from! There was this dirty great aggressive looking spider glaring back at me and it was Ziggy! See for yourself! Creepy eyes, legs about to pounce, crazy as. I realised whoever made this didn't know what they were doing, so how could they couldn't possibly get a BBQ right. There was no way I could live with that! ... So I bought Weber, impressive cooking experience straight off, exceeded expectations, its hotter, electric ignition just a breeze, temperature gauge very helpful and more pronounced dome efficiently reflects heat for slow roasting. Haven't found a cool spot or maybe that's just a new BBQ thang. Enjoyment all the way.... without the apoplexy.
