A significant upgrade from the Weber Spirit grill.

Quite a step up from the 3-burner Weber Spirit grill it replaced, yet it was very quick for me to learn new grilling technique like burner level settings. An extra layer of steel in the lid will likely keep grill temperatures constant through the seasons. I have yet to use the fourth "searing" burner, but suspect it will be great for steaks, etc.The grates are larger than in the Spirit, allowing me to use a copper grilling mat oriented "portrait" on the left side of the Genesis for meats and have room for a large grilling basket on the right side (with a different temperature setting) for ... MoreQuite a step up from the 3-burner Weber Spirit grill it replaced, yet it was very quick for me to learn new grilling technique like burner level settings. Although we could easily afford a much more expensive brand, I didn't even look at them; with the frequency that we use a grill I like being able to order replacement parts in the future and besides – more expensive grills get just as dirty as Webers, and are no more easy to clean.

For a $ 1000 grill its nice but its lacking in some areas! The things I like about this grill are: The capacity of the grill space to do indirect cooking, Nice large sear zone! Grease pan pulls out for easier cleaning. The pan it's self needs to be bigger and deeper for these long large cooks or griddle use. My grill in under a covered porch and when it rains it gets wet inside. The side panels should have been more enclosed.. The casters are cheaper, The locking knobs on the casters are thin plastic which if I use them they will break for sure. This model does not even include a grill light. The things I do like are the aluminum casting tub , the grates are very nice and drop down warmer rack huge plus.I was hoping to be able to BBQ / smoke in the grill but I ... MoreFor a $ 1000 grill its nice but its lacking in some areas! Great Grill, Poor Assembly by Home Depot

Grill is excellent. Good design, easy to maintain. Easy to change parts when needed. When I got it home, Burner #1 would not ignite except with a match. I thought it was a bad burner tube electrode placement (manufacturing defect), however after Weber sent replacement burner tubes (Yea Weber!), I found that it was poor assembly. The Burner #1 was not attached to the gas manifold correctly by the Home Depot assembly team causing its failure to ignite. All fixed now at no extra cost to me. I really appreciate the new design with no screws securing the burner tube to the grill firebox body. This will make for easier replacement when the time comes 10+ years from now.Weber customer support was excellent throughout!Home Depot should test fire the grills they assemble ... MoreGrill is excellent. Weber sent me replacement burner tubes 9.75 years into the 10-year warranty (Yea Weber!) and I gave the grill to my daughter with the new burner tubes installed. The igniter box on this grill went out after 9+ years and was easy to replace. I replaced the original grill and flavorizer bars with SS parts which should last 20 years at least, so my daughter has a great grill now, too. I bought it in 2013, so it should be good for at least another 10 years. The only tough part of the design on these two grills is that the LP tank is inside the grill lower body. This makes for a nice clean look from the outside, but somewhat difficult to hang a heavy (full) LP tank inside the grill body. Fortunately, the body doors are easy to remove and reinstall.I had a Weber LP gas grill before these ones which lasted me from 1990 to 2013 before I gave it away when moving. Weber makes great LP gas grills!

Looking Elsewhere

Not the quality I expected. New flaws in the latest models. I received the new grill as my wife was tired of watching me try and order a replacement bottom cabinet panel from Weber and Amazon that was rusting apart. I felt like a ping pong ball going back and forth while both companies pointed to the other to resolve my issue. New grill cabinet is open on the top of the sides to allow rain that hits the shelves to bounce into the cabinet. The grease pan then fills up with water. The bottom cabinet panel is not pitched so even though there is a giant circular hole to allow the propane tank to drop into to allow weight/volume measurements water will sit and rust that panel exactly like the previous Weber grill. The propane tank area is tighter than my twelve year old Genesis was, so changing tanks was twice as hard. The burners are closer to the grill so I’m going through a learning curve. I should not have to repeatedly buy grill covers over the lifetime of this grill to keep the inside of the cabinet dry. Nice sear feature, nice control knobs but after fifty-four years being a Weber guy, I think I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Quality is worth the investment!

For years I have had $250 gas grill after $250 gas grill. I never thought I could justify spending the money to get a top of the line grill—I mean, in the end, they are all just machines for burning propane, right? How different can they be? So I muddled along, satisfied but never really satisfied with mediocre performance. Finally, I decided to crack open my wallet and drop the money for Weber grill and see if the extra money really translates into a noticeably better grilling experience.Oh baby! Have I been impressed. This grill is like nothing I have used before. The first couple of times I used it, I actually charred the hell out of the meat I was cooking—on my previous grills, you cranked the heat to max and hoped to at least get a good sear on the first side ... MoreFor years I have had $250 gas grill after $250 gas grill. Yeah, not this grill. I have learned that you actually have to adjust the heat level based on what you are grilling. Go figure! This grill heats up faster than my past grills, and consistently produces the best grilled foods I have ever turned out. I simply had no idea how much difference a high quality grill could make to my grilling experience. I love this grill and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Strong Improvements and a Great Grill!

I purchased my first Weber grill around 13 years ago when I bought my first home. It was fantastic and was used for half a dozen BBQs and outdoor parties each season. As I used the grill more and more the design to have the controls sit on the top (on the right side panel) irked me a little as it removed prep space. The new E-325s fixed this with front-mount controls.Over the span of years the battery ignition would die and I would buy and self-install a replacement every 3-4 years. This has been improved by using stainless steel parts in this model.Otherwise this is a slightly more visually pleasing design but looks, feels, and most importantly cooks just as good as my old grill. I'm looking forward to another decade of fun and food, and will stay a Weber supporter as long as the quality and innovation continues.

The BEST Grill out there!
18 October 2022

After 15 yrs of faithful service, it was time to retire my previous Weber. Extensive market research and consultation with friends showed me that the best i could get for my needs was the GENESIS S-325s. Almost an identical model to my well loved previous grill. Most important to me are the stainless steel grills, none of the flaking of cast, or chipping of porcelain coating. A solid grill, easily maintained with a light brushing and always ready to go. AND....a fantastic warranty!Upgraded ignition system is great, large side tables for food prep, and a beautiful look.My grill is located on a southern exposed raised deck and is subject to high temps of 30+degrees C in the summer and -30 degrees in the winter, with year round winds and heavy snow. I grill at least twice a week, preparing meals for 2-10 people and ranging from burgers to full size tenderloin roasts along with all the sides. It has never let me down! A great grill for all, by a company that cares.Thank you Weber.PS....I almost feel bad that it will likely be another 15 yrs before I have to buy another one.Oh well, gifts for growing families with grandchildren are always possible

Upgrade my Gas Grilling
29 January 2023

I've been looking at new grills since last summer (2022). I had an old SS Charmglow grill that was a little over 10 years old. It worked ok for a few years, then I would need to replace all the innards like the flame tubes, baffles and grill grates every few years. The starters stopped working a long time ago. Anyway, needed a new grill. So, first though was to go the same directions - a "nicer" cheap grill from the big box. They were in the $500 range. Weber really wasn't on my radar until I saw them at said big box. I could tell the quality of the build and materials was higher. I did tons of research and ultimately decided that the Weber would be worth the extra expense. I did tons of research and ultimately decided that the Weber would be worth the extra expense. I've only had the Genesis E-325 for a month (in January), so I've only used it 4 times so far, but it is so much better than my old grill, which isn't saying much. I'll put it this way, It is much more substantial, the size of the side tables, the sturdiness, the heat control and even-ness are just a huge improvement for me. Putting it together was not a big deal, and as I did, I could appreciate the quality of the materials and design. I got the model without the side burner. I had one on my old grill and never used it. If that's something you use, I would imagine it works well. I like the size of the cooking surface - I don't typically cook for tons of people, but if I did, I'd consider the larger model. All-in-all, I am very happy with my new Weber grill!

Weber just keeps getting better!
1 December 2022

This is my 4th Genesis in the past 30 years! I have tried other grills, which I keep outside unprotected, and they lasted a year or two. The Genesis seems to last around 8 to 10 years before I want my next one. Nothing wrong with the old one - I just want a new one! What I am most amazed by is how well your product management team continues to improve. The little things from the last version of the Genesis were improved in this model. The list is long, but includes; Locking wheels (that really lock), externally visible tank level, sear zone, longer connecting hose, better doors with solid magnets for closing, wider prep / store areas, simpler assembly, and the list goes on.The even heat, the cast iron grates, the heat controls. Weber makes it easy to grill! When I was living in Germany, one of my friends had me over to his house for "an American barbeque". He was very proud of his "German Grill". He assumed that because it was a Weber (German name, pronounced VEBER), that it was "the best". I informed him that this was a good old American Made grill - and yes, it is the best! Thanks to all at Weber for always pushing forward and making the best grill available on the market. One more thing... When we bought our house, they had a built in barbeque area in the outdoor grilling area. The very expensive ($4,500) installed grill was terrible. We bought this Weber and have it sitting in the open, and we never use the installed grill.

this e-325 replaced a more than 10 year old weber. and that would have lasted longer had I taken good care of it. so I figured id stick with weber and im glad I did. this e-325 ids a beast. so easy to ignite , knobs are huge and easy to read, grates are chunky and sturdy, sear zone is abso fantastic and a nice addition, tank level meter is readable from the outside(no need to open the doors like on the old model), plenty of storage in the base cabinet, easy pull out tray for grease scrap and cleanup and to change drip tray. assembly is a bit time consuming because of all the unpacking and amount of individual parts. but all parts are maticulously labeled and carefully packaged in so much cardboard I think the recycle men wanted to kill me lol! the paper instruction ... Morethis e-325 replaced a more than 10 year old weber. and that would have lasted longer had I taken good care of it. so I figured id stick with weber and im glad I did. this e-325 ids a beast. so easy to ignite , knobs are huge and easy to read, grates are chunky and sturdy, sear zone is abso fantastic and a nice addition, tank level meter is readable from the outside(no need to open the doors like on the old model), plenty of storage in the base cabinet, easy pull out tray for grease scrap and cleanup and to change drip tray. assembly is a bit time consuming because of all the unpacking and amount of individual parts. but all parts are maticulously labeled and carefully packaged in so much cardboard I think the recycle men wanted to kill me lol! the paper instruction booklet is more than sufficient to guide you through assembly but a video QR code is provided if you prefer. I order mine from my local ACE hardware who delivered it direct in their van by their local workers. I wanted that rather than risk damage by the bigger carriers who tend to be less careful with shipments. I also ordered the weber grill cover to protect my investment. I have to cons I wish they would improve on. one is the tool rack on the side. its never been a favorite feature as the tools are hard to unhook quickly when needed and when you pull the grill cove off(which is long to cover the grill boy almost to the floor) all the tools gets hooked on it and thcome off the rack and fall to floor. second are the "locking wheels". sure they do lock from rolling, but the grill still rolls because they swivel and the rear wheels don't lock. my grill still moves considerably with wheels locked.
