My husband gave this to me as a gift. It lasted 2 months. I hardly used it, possibly 6 times both on a grill and on a stove. I always hand washed it I made sure it pointed down so no water got in the mechanism when it was dried off with a towel we put it in the drawer. I take it out of the door tonight and I can't use it it's blank. Try to change the battery since I had one and nothing.. This is a total piece of junk. Was this made by someone else and put your name on it?

I bought it at Home Depot last fall. Hasn't been used that much. Display wasn't coming on so replaced the battery. Came to the website to check on support and sse this serems to be a common problem. Bad production batch. I will try a replacement if one is offered but Weber you need a better QA process. You are a preeminent brand and should not have products failing like this.

I bought this thermometer in August. It stopped working in October. Doesn't turn on at all. Was never left on and only hand washed. I finally went out and got an eyeglass-repair kit so I'd have a small enough screwdriver to change the battery, and that didn't make a difference at all. I don't have my receipt from original purchase so I can't even take advantage of the warranty. Hugely disappointed and will avoid Weber thermometers going forward.

Every product might not be made perfectly to our satisfaction, but the way the company engages with you once a defect is discovered is priceless. Buy the Weber Instant Read and you will get a decent thermometer that takes accurate readings. It isn't a 1 second reading, but within 5 seconds you will have what you need. If it doesn't work correctly, know people like Emily at Weber are there to take care of your challenges.
I bought this during the summer to help with a Bar B Q. It worked great the first few weeks then it quit. I thought it might be battery so I replaced it. Still didn't work. Ended up buying another one. and same as the first 3 weeks it quit working. Very disappointed. The retailer will not take back. . Now I have two :-(.
I bought this less than a month ago. I have used it four or five times with good results until it has abruptly stopped working. Half the screen was messed up and now the display is broken completely. I have checked Weber’s refunds policy and not possible to get any sort of return or refund. I had heard from my father in law that this is a good brand with quality products. Based on this experience I will be completely avoiding the in future. A company that sells itself on quality should be ashamed.
I purchased this product based on the brand name and expectation that a Weber product purchase meant high quality and durability. This thermometer Stopped Working After a Few Uses !! I tried replacing the battery two times and still doesn’t work. The device quit turning on and has zero troubleshooting options. Weber's Customer service response is that only if the product was purchased from the online Weber site does the product have a 2-year warranty. If it was purchased from a retailer it doesn't have the Weber warranty and Weber will offer a 20% discount and free shipping. THE WEBER BRAND AND WARRANTY HAS FALLEN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. New grill from Weber, not now.
I received the Weber instant read temperature probe as a Christmas gift from my wife. Worked well the first 5 times till I’ve accidentally bumped it off the kitchen bench top. Dropped 90cm/35 inches. Not a scratch on it at all but the internal screen has a small crack in the upper left corner of the glass and now the screen is unreadable. I would not recommend this product purely because I know for a fact, on the first drop it can and will break. See attached photos.
Been using this thermometer since I got into grilling this summer and have been happy with it until today. When turning it on the display reads the ambient temp but when inserted into my meat the display stays frozen and won’t tell me the temp. Pretty confident my chicken isn’t 72 degrees after being on the grill for nearly an hour. Sad.
