Weleda Ratanhia Mouthwash 50 ml

This used to be called Medicinal Mouthwash, but only the name has changed, the formulation is the same. It is a great product. I am never without a bottle. You can use it daily as a mouthwash or occasionally when a sore throat threatens. It works really well to disinfect the mouth, strengthen the gum and its taste is pleasant (mentholated). Beware, though, it is very red in colour so avoid getting it on clothing, as it might stain, although it comes off fairly easily in my experience.

I didn't know one tiny bottle could last for ages, because you use it diluted and can rinse multiple times. The formula feels mild, but is very effective. Great for when my mouth feels sensitive but really need that rinse and gargle.

I was expecting so much from this highly recommended mouthwash but have been disappointed. I specifically purchased it to assist with a bad breath problem but have to be honest it has done very little to help. I’m using it in conjunction with the Weleda salt toothpaste which is an excellent product - a pity it does not contain fluoride. The taste of the mouthwash is quite unusual but I have no problems with that aspect. I’ve tried different strengths of the mouthwash varying from 5 to 10 drops in warm water but none have done much. I will persist with it but can’t recommend it as it has not solved my problem.
