I have two cats and this is our go to. This is the only canned food my picky diva will touch, specifically the flavor blends with skipjack tuna. My sweet void is not picky, but this is his favorite canned food. He has FIC, so I have him on a mainly wet food diet to increase his water intake. This is my preferred food for them because there are no meat by-products, fillers, or artificial flavors/preservatives. I feel most comfortable feeding them canned food that actually looks like food, as opposed to ground up slop.

This is one of my cats’s favorite food. They like the texture of the food, it’s in shred form but soft. They don’t like pate form at all but sometimes the shredded chicken form makes them throw up. This is just the right balance. The food actually looks tasty and doesn’t smell bad. It has lots of good ingredients and I feel good about giving my cats a well balanced diet

I have to say, this is my cats hands down favorite food. The boneless shredded chicken and beef in particular. I often will buy a can of something new here or there to give them variety as they tend to get bored of the same flavor/brand if i give it to them enough times, so I try to keep things interesting for them, I bought a can of this to test it out and see if they would eat it and I was SO surprised to see completely empty bowls that were LICKED clean. Also my Main Coon who suffered from asthma attacks daily I noticed the attacks completely stopped when I started feeding him this!!! A true miracle food. Usually with shreds/chunks the gravy will get licked but they don’t have interest in eating the actual food, which has always been concerning for me, so I tend ... I do still feed them other flavors and brands too, as this can get expensive, but it’s definitely a staple food in my babies’ diets. I’m now exploring some of the other wellness wet food flavors that have good reviews too. Also, this food SMELLS wonderful. It smells good enough to eat, not that usual stinky smell with most wet cat foods. Thank you, Wellness, for creating such a delicious, tasty, nutritious food for my babies!

Being a mommy to multiple cats with different tastes and palettes, it can be a challenge finding foods they all have in common that they really enjoy. It’s also frustrating when the kitties only seem to mostly lick just the gravy off of their entree while not eating hardly any of the actual meal itself. It makes me question if it really tastes good, or if they are just trying to eat it to fill their bellies. Well, I can confidently say, all 4 of my cats love this food. All of them lick their bowl clean and beg for more in one sitting. So far the only flavor I have tried that they really like is the shredded chicken & beef entree. I picked up a can at the store on a whim as I liked to try different foods on them, and this one was such a hit I am so happy I bought it. ... Never thought I would be reviewing canned cat food online, but it's 2020 so why not? I have personally not tasted this food, so from a taste aspect I can't really provide any feedback. The texture and shape of it is sort of like Play-Doh after you pushed it through that fake meat grinder thing we had as kids. There's no real smell to it so I guess that's good? There's a decent amount of gravy in the can and we usually mash up the shredded pieces into smaller more palatable pieces for our cats of which we have 5. Yeah, I know, that's a lot of cats. Turns out that 4 cats is when people start giving you that questioning look after you tell them how many you have. At 5 they don't even hide it anymore. Anyways, back to the canned cat food review. There's never any left ... MoreNever thought I would be reviewing canned cat food online, but it's 2020 so why not? There's never any left in their bowls, so I guess that means they like it which I guess would mean it taste good? Will we continue to buy this food? Yes. Are we overpaying for it when the cats would be just as happy with cheaper stuff? Probably.
...and now I know the reason why.My review is similar to the other 1 star reviews on here. I've fed this brand to my cat since he was months old. From the kitten option, to Core, to the latest Signature Selects. If it had 'Wellness' on it, we gave it to him.Generally, he always loved it. Except for the times that he threw up. We always thought it was a hairball, or something he ate when he'd go outside and roam. Even our vet thought that the vomiting was most likely harmless, since it happened sporadically. If I never came to this page to search for different prices, I would have never read the reviews that said that the formula was changed about 2-3 years ago. Which would be around the same time that he started having his digestive issues. At this point, ... More...and now I know the reason why.My review is similar to the other 1 star reviews on here. Which would be around the same time that he started having his digestive issues. At this point, we're down to one flavor - Chicken & Beef. That's the only flavor that doesn't cause him to have diarrhea, or throw up (afaik.) I'd recommend you find another brand. It isn't fun chasing a cat with a booger coming out of his butt.
As soon as I fed my cat this, she started getting runny poo and it wouldn't stop. It has been 3 days and she's only getting worse and I believe there is something wrong with the ingredients. My cat is not a picky eater at all, she is very open to trying new things and while she scarfs this down, she goes to the bathroom about 3 times after each time she is fed any of the "Wellness CORE Signature Selects Natural Grain Free". She has no issues with the Paté varieties, but I am extremely upset about this outcome. I will be returning all of what I have left.
Ive heard and read great things about wellness brand food for years. Trying to find the best food for my kitties, I went through a few of the high end brands of food, liking them but wanting more and wanting to see what else could be offered for my cats. This week is their first week on Wellness wet food (different kinds for each cat) firstly I was a little alarmed when I found tiny bits of bone in the kitten CORE Turkey and Chicken Liver Recipe (LOT# 7CCKC1). Ive been picking them out since I cant get back to the store right away to get new food. I did read that it is fine for her to eat but also read that it can back up in her stomach and cause a blockage (none of the pieces so far are very big and none are jagged or splintered pieces. I did read that it is fine for her to eat but also read that it can back up in her stomach and cause a blockage (none of the pieces so far are very big and none are jagged or splintered pieces. More like tiny bits of gravel.) I know this is coming from the chicken meal that is in the pate and that they need the vitamins from the bone matter. I would like to see it ground more finely however. (Photo below)This morning one of my males puked up his breakfast (he did this last week with different food, so my initial thought was that he ate too fast both times)Just a few minutes ago I grabbed some of his Signature Selects Shredded Boneless Chicken and Liver Recipe (LOT#: NX2153 B VCN46), to give him a snack since he puked it up this morning and all he kept down was some kibble (Taste of the Wild, not Wellness) but when I opened the container it had black dots on the shreds of "meat". This has not been present in the other cans, but I grabbed another and opened it just to see, and it had the same, not as many specks though. It looks like mold but no fuzzy bits. Im extremely unhappy and worried about my kitty. (Photo below)
Yesterday I visited a distant Petco and brought home a few cans of Shredded Chicken With Chicken Liver. We hadn't given that to our cats in years.I gave them each a taste, and finding they loved it, went to Petsmart nearby and bought a case, not noticing the label difference in the dark blue strip and the name Shredded Chicken & Chicken Liver.Today there were two Petco cans left. I gave those to two of the cats and gave the new cans to the other two cats. The old recipe was eaten immediately with requests for more. The new recipe was smelled and walked away from, and they rushed to see if there was any left on the old recipe plates. In washing the cans I saw that the old recipe was 2 months out of date, so it's unlikely I'll find more. Petco had only had a few cans near a sealed case of what must have been the new recipe. Really sorry to find this! I'll return the new recipe case to Petsmart tomorrow. The new recipe is accurately pictured on the Wellness website, except for the apparent consumption of the food.I'm sorry to have to give you this negative report, because Wellness probably did a worked hard upgrade their recipe. In the single choice options below, I gave Quality and Nutrition Delivered one star because it apparently smells bad, and the cats won't eat it. I didn't compare the ingredients to determine whether the new recipe has better nutrition.
My cat love only this product idk why sometimes gets drys very fast and sometimes have a rubber texture I was very surprised I fund a piece of plastic. I love my cat every is 18.99 plus tax no coupons. It's very expensive trip to the pet store specially dry foods, wet foods and litter . Mama Mia too much $$but I love my cat.
