2 weeks ago we had our new freestanding gas cooker delivered. After had a similar Chef stove for 20 years, we decided it was time for a new one. I have not been disappointed! This stove is easy to use and I can use it as a fan or conventional oven. Easy to light the gas and 180 degrees is 180 degrees. I think the only disappointing thing with this stove is the flimsiness of the outer shell. We had 3 delivered and still got a damaged one. But decided it was better to have that, than no stove at all.The price was also another deciding factor in going with appliances online. We will use them again.

I previously has a gas stove. The disadvantage of this was that when turning down the heat in the oven the flame would sometimes go out. So when I saw the ad for a dual feul stove I thought about upgrading. The selling point however, was the addition of an air fryer option in the oven. The best thing for me so far is that for the first time I was able to get perfect pork crackling on my roast. I always thought it was me but it seems it was my gas oven that failed perfecting the crackling. The disadvantages however, is that my old oven had a very handy storage tray at the base of the stove. This one doesn't and I need to find somewhere else to store my baking trays. There is no substantial splashback to stop the wall behind the stove being splattered, but that is true ... MoreI previously has a gas stove. Not sure about the grill being in the oven, but it does work well and doesn't reaaly require pre-heating.Additionally, the brushed stainless steel cooktop is very easy to clean.

I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

The oven is great it cooks evenly and well. With the gas hotplates however the gas setting is too high and everything could readily burn. Contacted the installers but they still havent got back to me. Electrolux however is going to come and correct the problem.
I've not had much of a chance to use this stove since it was only installed 2 weeks ago & I do work long hours so don't do much cooking during the week. So far it's taking a while to get used to as for 30 years I've had an LPG stove. It appears that natural gas is not as hot as LPG. Just boiling water for pasta for instance it takes longer. The electric oven in this stove is not as hot as my previous stove either. I guess I will need to experiment more to get used to this one. The stove itself is sturdy & very well made. If looks count to people it's very smart looking. Another thing though which I've read on other people's reviews the timer is absolutely useless. You cannot hear it. But then who needs a timer when there are lots of other options available. It cooks like an oven should. I haven't done anything fancy in it yet, so haven't checked if it has been calibrated or if it has ' cool spots'. But it has a great capacity and heats up fairly quickly. Easy to clean. Service by Appliances Online was awesome, as usual. Westinghouse build great ovens at a good price. I do a LOT of baking and they haven't let me down yet ( unlike some European brands).
Now that I’ve used the AirFry function feature I can’t go back to cooking chips without it! It’s so convenient not having to shake or turn food over to ensure even cooking. The oven isn’t noisy and appears to distribute the heat evenly so when I cook my pizza half of it doesn’t burn as this is what used to happen with my other oven.As for the cook top, the burners heat up quickly and the knobs feel nice and sturdy. Mum seems to like it so it must be good.Overall, I’m very happy with this product because it is easy to use and the dark stainless steel looks great!
First, Appliancesonline did a fantastic job. The order and delivery went smoothly and the price they charged was definitely the lowest around. Well done to them. However, the quality of the stove and what it actually offers is underwhelming. I'd hate to see their cheaper version which is the Chef range. We bought this new Westinghouse to replace a 30 year old Chef Monte Carlo Fully programmable, touch panel model which was getting hard to find parts for. Australian manufacturing is obviously really struggling to keep up with imported ovens and prices. But with the price of this oven and its poor quality and basic design (though it looks modern), I'm not surprised that Australia will continue to struggle. The "back splash" is a thin bit of tacked on stainless metal ... MoreFirst, Appliancesonline did a fantastic job. Australian manufacturing is obviously really struggling to keep up with imported ovens and prices. But with the price of this oven and its poor quality and basic design (though it looks modern), I'm not surprised that Australia will continue to struggle. The "back splash" is a thin bit of tacked on stainless metal which needed strengthening with an extra screw which needs drilling. The oven door stainless panel will damage easily if you remove the door for cleaning or moving and are not extremely careful in replacing it. The panel is again a thin bit of stainless metal surround tacked onto the glass. As the door is now tricky to remove (compared to earlier models), and even trickier to get on again, beware catching the thin covering and bending it out of shape while doing this.Being told by the plumber that ovens are temperature calibrated at the factory and they should not need adjusting, I checked the oven temps with a commercial thermometer. The results are not good. Fan on or off, the real temperatures do not go close to the markings on the dials. They vary above and below real temps by up to 30 degreesC. So I advise using a good thermometer before use and write down on a card what marks to use for the real temps if you don't want to go crazy because you trusted the factory calibrations. There's no bottom drawer, the grill door bangs closed on the metal runners inside unless you adjust the runners so the rubber buffers do their job, the sides of the oven up higher get hot, and the sides of the oven are not stainless but cheap painted steel which won't match your other stainless appliances decor. Apart from these issues, the stove works OK. Just lower your expectations with this - in my opinion - way overpriced stove (by $1000 I would venture to say). Then again, with the poor ratings and reviews of some imported models, maybe this is a bargain!!!!
Service from Appliances Online was outstanding, I have been thoroughly recommending them to all I speak to.Unfortunately, the product I chose has been very disappointing and, therefore, I have not held back in telling others. The grill is very slow - barely heats and so dries the food. Also, doesn't have the facility to vary the height of the tray (as my old, basic model did)The oven heats unevenly and not hot enough. I have arranged for the temperature to be checked as I don't think it reaches the set temperature. Also, I do not like the large gas jets at the back of the stove as more cooking is done on these . . . I have to lean over small saucepans.
The oven had an extremely noisy fan. In addition the outside of the oven and the knobs get extremely hot when the oven is in use (too hot to touch without an oven mit if on for a while). I called Westinghouse, the technician came out and changed the fan, this resolved the fan issue. In regards to the outside of the oven (particularly the side of the unit and the knobs) being extremely hot, the service technician produced an Australian Standards document and a 2 hour procedure I needed to perform while testing the temperature with an infrared thermometer. The technician was unable to perform the test as it takes too long... thus I was left with the option to purchase an infrared thermometer, perform the 2 hour test and call them back if it didn't meet Australian ... MoreThe oven had an extremely noisy fan. I am very disappointed as my previous Westinghouse oven was fantastic and definitely did not get that hot on the surface of the outside of the oven. I paid more for the oven compared to cheaper brands... now wish I went for the cheaper brand. Appliances on line however were fantastic to deal with and I would buy from them again... next time would be more careful to check reviews from a wider source of websites.
