The website does not tell you which ovens are LPG and which are Natural Gas. The description on all ovens is just "Fuel Type - Gas". I have purchased the wrong oven as I need NG, not LPT and now I have to pay for a plumber to remove it, return it to store, purchase an NG oven and have that installed. Not happy.

Can't review as fitting was to be 23rd February, after making the final payment on 11th February, 2021. The installer has been trying to resolve the issue since the 23rd Feb. I requested an Australian Stove of which this model is the only one. Also that it was to be a GAS STOVE. There were NO STOVES to view as this is not a common sale choice of buyers. The grill was not mentioned as a feature. If it was I would have assumed that it was gas, or queried that it was as in the previous stove.Quite frankly this situation is appalling. I am just about to go to Consumer Affairs and make a Report. Seeing this review may actually be viewed by someone in MANAGEMENT, I am hoping that this will be completed within the next 7days. Your last question on recommendation of product is NO only because full disclosure of the stoves operation was not clear. Also the initial stove that was ordered was one to fit Gas Bottles not Natural Gas!!! The whole process has been terrible. I am 68 and feel like I have been ignored.

We bought this oven a few weeks ago to replace our older Westinghouse gas oven.We were very happy with the old oven and decided to purchase the more recent version of the same model. We're less happy with the new version. When switching off this oven after use, all surfaces around the oven (cabinet walls to the side of the oven and cooktop above the oven) heat up to point where it's impossible to touch them with burning yourself. Our old oven did not have that problem. The only way to avoid it is by leaving the fan running for 20-30 mins after switching the oven off. We didn't have to do that with the old oven.We understand there are more expensive Westinghouse ovens where the fan stays on after use and switches off automatically when the oven has cooled ...Β MoreWe bought this oven a few weeks ago to replace our older Westinghouse gas oven.We were very happy with the old oven and decided to purchase the more recent version of the same model. We're less happy with the new version. Clear viewing door to view baking without opening door. Temperature setting very accurate. Only disappointment with oven ,only supplying 2 shelves. Would prefer 3 as previous oven had. Extra item to buy is priced too high. Also separate grill is not gas operated instead it has power element which we summized would be gas when buying a gas product. Otherwise I am happy with the product.
We needed to replace our old gas wall oven and were a bit apprehensive with this purchase as there were only two brands available in Australia to replace ours. But after having used this oven a number of times, I can confirm that we are really pleased with it. It looks great, has simple, easy to use features and cooks food really well. New gas wall ovens are a bit smaller than earlier ones but the appliances online installers (Stuart and Harry) did a brilliant job with the installation and fitting of a stainless steel surround to cover the gaps. The oven and installation are both 10 out of 10 as far as we are concerned.
Weβve had the oven for 3 weeks now. Awesome. Love the full glass door. It will take time to adjust to cooking with the flame directly under the shelvesβ¦my sourdough baked a tad dark on the bottomβ¦a small thing. Iβm sad that the grill is not gas as well, cause it takes AGES to heat up. And not having a grill dish that would slide into the side rails is really weird. Controls are easy, timer is really loud, which I need. All up, happy
The oven is simple to use and intuitive. I bought the optional self-cleaning inserts (as it is for a rental property) and wouldn't recommend them at all. Nobody is going to pull apart the rear and take off the shelving to remove the plates for cleaning. Gimmick! As for the instillation, I would never get a "professional" to do it again. It is the simplest of jobs ...screwing up a gas fitting and plugging in a socket. The $365 charge is not warranted. The professional has no interest to modify woodwork for perfect flush fitting ...it is just a slide out and slide in arrangement and get moving on to the next job ASAP, to get done with the day. The only benefit is the disposal of the old oven, but many companies will do that for free and I suggest that is the way to ...Β MoreThe oven is simple to use and intuitive. It's a lot of money for a simple, no frills unit, hence the "fair" rating.
When we found out the oven in our new house had carked it, we did our homework (a gas oven was more expensive to buy and more basic, but cheaper to run and meant we didnt have to pay for an electrician to put in a switch). We chose the Westinghouse WVG615S as it had ok reviews and a cool touch door - something we needed as it was to sit in a kitchen cabinet at a relatively low height. It was delivered to us quickly and the first time we used it, we noticed that the metal panel around the control panel got extremely hot - I assumed this was due to the seal only being clipped in the corners rather than sitting in the whole way around. I contacted Appliances Online and after sending pictures I received a very quick response saying that someone would contact me within 48-72 hours. I waited for the deadline on the Friday and contacted them again on the Monday, I had a technician call on Wednesday and a house visit on the Friday. I was advised that all oven seals are clipped in on the corners these days (not the whole way around) and new ovens vent heat through the front which is why that panel got so hot. According to National Gas Standards, this particular panel is allowed to heat up to 80 degrees celcius plus ambient temp. When measured, the panel was at 72 degrees, and the technician advised that as it is within standards there is nothing he could do about it. Westinghouse, this oven has a serious design issue! What is the point of having a cool touch door if the panel directly above it can get ridiculously hot?
Delivery was super-fast and my old oven was taken away too so that was excellent. My usage experience so far has been great. Things are cooking nice and evenly and I'm really enjoying being able to cook meals for my family again. Thanks for a great product!
i have had my gas oven for about a month now. It replaced my 20 yo Chef gas oven, which had a seperate gas griller. i really like having an electric griller, as i was sick of having to click, click, click my previous one for it to start. The tray on this one does get very hot but the trick is to have it sitting out about 2 cm when cooking, so then that bit is not hot on your fingers. I find the oven cooks my food beautifully. yes there is a breeze comes out the top of the door but you only notice it when standing in front of oven, not on the side & i have no problem with the shelves.
