I am very happy with my wharfedale diamond speakers. They look amazing and they sound amazing. I like the way they look with my tv and my tv cabinet. Also they are easy to connect to my home theatre. The only thing I don't like is that shipping took a few more days, but that's because I live in a small town.

My review after two months using in my dedicated HT room. Most complete speaker in its price. Warm sound, awesome midrange and extremely tight and controlled bass. No need for a subwoofer. This speaker is good for larger rooms. If you have a smaller room the 12.3 would be better suited.

I bought the 240's and they were shipped quickly. One of the speakers had a damaged plinth (base), I learned a new word. I emailed customer service and sent them a photo. They got right on it and I had the part the next week. Great customer service! The speakers are very well built and in my opinion have a nice Art Deco look. They sound great with good bass and mid range. I have the 225"s also. They are lacking a little in frequency response at the upper midrange treble and highs. I have about 20 hours on them and they are breaking in well. I made some adjustment and it helped. I did some research and ordered a pair of, Aperion MKII super tweeters to see if I could get the sound I wanted. One speaker arrived with a broken support foot, and a dent in the front face. The packaging is inferior to the product and price point. Also no white cotton white glove included, usually Wharfedale includes these to keep your oils of the walnut finish. I have a set of 11.3s that I love, tremendous soundstage and deep musical bass. The 12.4s have more detail, yet they did not draw me in to the music. No toe tapping, or air drums. The 12.4s are a very good speaker. For my room I think they are to large, by the time they really start pumping some volume the SPL is too much for my ears. The EVO 4.2s did this in my room as well. Not the speakers fault. These need a big room with room to breath. These are gonna be sought after. Maybe I will give the 12.3s a try for my ... MoreOne speaker arrived with a broken support foot, and a dent in the front face. The packaging is inferior to the product and price point. For now the 11.3s lay down a huge soundstage and a bass line of warmth. 4 stars because of broken foot and poor shipping boxes. I did return these with no hassle.
bought these on a whirlwind exploration of sales on the internet . i feel as though a bit lucky to be searching when i did. i don't really know the finer details about matching all the spec's of components but i must have done something right. i have an older Marantz AV receiver and i use it as a pre-amp to an eq and crown power amp. I can really bring these speakers to life. i am very pleased with the ability of these speakers. Wharfedale was an unknown to me and it turned out to be a very good purchase for me
Deducted one star because the shipper just about destroyer the speakers before they arrived. Seriously, it looked like they'd been dropped from a helicopter. I was honestly surprised they were salvageable. One was only slightly damaged but the second speaker was mashed up pretty badly. I called customer service and they gave me the choice of return them or getting credit back on my purchase. Because the boxes were in such terrible shape, shipping them back wasn't really an option. And because sonically, they sound beautiful, I choose to keep them. Sure they were beat up, but I care more about the sound and less so on appearance. Besides, I usually keep my eyes closed when listening so I can concentrate on the music. Overall, 5 solid stars for customer service, but ... MoreDeducted one star because the shipper just about destroyer the speakers before they arrived. I just returned some high end tekton speakers that were so sensitive, you could hear a singers breath between phases, and fingers slide across guitar strings. The problem with high sensitive speakers is that they're bright, or shouty on the top end, and are thin in the midrange and lack bass. The Wharfedales are not sensitive speakers, but they have wormth and body in the mids, and a good bass. The highs are smooth and not bright, yet detailed. For the price point, these are perfect speakers for my 60 year old ears.
These speakers are just so agreeable...easy to set up and just make movies and music easy and great. Unless you spend a lot of money, you aren't going to feed these towers with something that won't make them sound better with every upgrade. Folks that are fat-wallet audiophiles love these speakers and are envious. They want to send me their amps and equipment (shipping paid) just to test them out with their stuff. You will be delighted, can't say any more. Check out "Tharbamar" review on YouTube. Also, MD customer service is top notch.
Was looking to replace old set of speakers and went straight to Richer Sounds. Who I got last set from. Phoned up and staff had great insights in a few products and found easy to talk to. Paid via card payment email link as for security dont take payment over phone. Arrived after two days. Each boxed separately. Took a little time turning upside down to fit spike feet baring in mind the weight. Well that was my daily workout. I found a little tricky to not scratch flooring but came with little bases for spikes to sit in and once the feet their bases speakers can be moved easily. Only used a few times already but was definitely worth getting. Havent decided to have grilles on or off yet but either is a classy look. I have these set up as bi amp set without an amp ... MoreWas looking to replace old set of speakers and went straight to Richer Sounds. Who I got last set from. I have these set up as bi amp set without an amp from high and mid range and separate for low range. The spike feet work 100% as old ones was affecting turntable with vibrations. Richer Sounds Milton Keynes well done! I will be looking for some more items and will be the first place I go to.
These speakers are the real deal. I paired mine with Diamond 12.1 bookshelf speakers and a Denon AVR-X2800H receiver. Also bought the Diamond 12.C center channel speaker and a Klipsch sub. WHOA!!!!! This system just sounds amazing. I did perform the Audyssey setup and not sure how sold I am on that but definitely gives me a good starting place. Highly recommended!!!
