The first thing I noticed in this four pound bag of Organic Sugar was the sparkle of the smooth sandy texture. There’s a delicate flavor and it doesn’t overpower my taste buds. I use organic sugar in coffee, tea and baked sweets. I stop using my home sugar for coffee and tea.

For the price it’s reasonable. I always prefer the Florida crystals but they’re hard to find. This one seems to be a little bit heavier granules which is good for a quick sprinkle on hot oatmeal. It melts quickly into coffee or tea. The taste is what you expect out of an organic sugar. The size of the package and the quality of the packaging keeps it very fresh and it does not get lumpy

I use this for my baking and beverage sweetening. It works great, using same amounts in recipes as regular processed sugar. I like that it is in a more natural state, less processed, and not a chemical sweetener. I actually think it has a little more flavor than regular sugar, so I use a little less in my tea and coffee.

The “ touch of molasses “ does give this sugar a fuller more distinctive taste, yet it is in no way overpowering. I use it in my traditional pound cake recipe (four quarters) and am very pleased with the result. The organic and fair trade aspects are also worth highlighting.
