Top notch tuna. Sustainable fishing is great for the fish population and the environment. I support them and try to get their tuna anytime my budget allows.Plus, take a can of this and place it next to a can of store brand tuna and you’ll immediately notice a difference. This tuna will be a solid chunk of fish. The store bought tuna with be a skirt of flakes in water.

Can't argue with a clean ingredient list and sustainable practices. It smelled the same as any other tuna but stood out by being nice, solid chunks of fish rather than mush and flakes. The only thing I didn't love about this was the complete lack of taste. How do you make fish taste like nothing?

This can has so much more tuna in it than other brand. Sounds crazy but it really does because there isn't anything else helping to feel the can like water or oil. It's just tuna. The smell is amazing. I really love the taste too and worth the cost.

OK so this tuna is no water oil filler added and then it says please don’t drain so that’s kind of weird because I always tend to drain my tuna’s. The other thing I noticed is like the packaging it doesn’t have like no paper or anything on it it’s literally paint it to the middle part, I don’t know if they were supposed to do it like upside down that was kind of confusing to me, but anyways, the tuna is good. It taste good and I tried it on a tuna salad.
I really loved this tuna because it honestly does taste better than the cheaper brands. It has a more "mute" flavor than other tuna brands, but that's because of its higher quality. I like that I don't really have to worry about consuming too much mercury when eating this brand. I also love how these cans don't require a can opener to open.
I received this Wild Planet skipjack Wild tuna complimentary from sampler.io it is a 5 oz can of wild tuna. This tuna is great because it has so much protein in the can it does not have an overly fishy smell and it tastes delicious it's not sleeping off it's like actual tuna like a tuna steak that they just had to place in the can. I'm glad I was able to try this it's a good quality tuna and they also did send me a coupon which I plan on using to pick up a couple more cans. Price point wise I did see this at my local market for $9 for the two pack which is a little expensive but you do have to look out for yourself and be able to treat yourself. Pretty sure my family will enjoy this as I do like to make tuna salad with a mayo and fresh pasta. Nice product, of good quality, definitely worth repurchasing it again, price is what it is, but it has good ingredients that make it worthwhile to consider buying it, remember that all reviews are subjective to the reviewer taking into account personal preferences in regard to taste smell composition and diet requirements. Thumbs up!
Don’t drain the liquid! As the can itself advised. No fillers used to pack the tuna which is what I like.Fished and packed in Thailand. Then shipped to US before being reshipped to Asian customers like me. Haha. This costs more than the local canned tuna found everywhere in my local grocery shops. Taste similar, and similar nutrition profile. Only this can is BPA free. Which means I’m paying premium for the BPA free packaging. In any case, I like that wild planet cares about sustainably fishing so I don’t mind paying for the planet and the lead-free packaging, which is for my health.
I buy the wild planet albacore all the time. Spendy... but worth every penny. No additives and even the water doesn't need to be drained. I have never found a better tasting Tuna than Wild Planet. However the SkipJack is not as good as the Albacore. But it does supposedly contain a little less mercury. I think this would be a good choice for tuna salad or sandwiches... but the flavor is in the Albacore.
I decided to try this tuna after reading in the news about the skip Jack tuna having less mercury due to being a smaller fish. I really wanted to like it but it tasted too fishy and super salty. I wouldn’t buy it again and marking this brand of skip Jack off my skip Jack tuna search list. I will add that my husband liked it! So it didn’t go to waste and to each their own. : )
