I purchased not one can of balls, but a case of 24 cans. They are used for match play & training & drills w/ 4.0 hitting partners. Their useful life outlives longer than Penn balls! So, if you are a avid player searching for a balls that tend to exceed expectations & on-court performance, the Wilson Championship is a top tier choice!

I had been using Wilson balls consistently for the last couple of years because the Penn ball quality had gone down the drain. I had no problems until recently. I guess with all the increased demand Wilson no longer needs to care about their quality. I've opened about eight cans out of the 24 so far and half have been a problem. Two were not sealed properly so there was a dull sound when I peeled back the aluminum lid. Two were sealed, but you could immediately tell the balls were dead. I've emailed customer service multiple times to no avail. Never buying these again.

In comparing the balls to Penn, the quality of the Wilson balls are so much better than any of the Penn balls. The balls hold their felt during the match. There are no irregularities in the seams. Compared to Penn, the Penn's have little tabs. The Wilson balls have superior quality control in production compared to Penn. I make this comparison because our club only carries Penn balls. When I bring balls, I receive compliments on the quality of the Wilson balls. Then my partners go and get the inferior Penn balls from the front desk when they have to supply balls. As a coach, I have stopped using the "coach" balls that other manufacturers offer. My German Shepherds needed something to burn off their excess energy and the Wilson Championship Extra-Duty Tennis Balls 1 Can/3 Pack were the perfect solution. As soon as I opened the vacuum-sealed container and pulled out one tennis ball for each of my two dogs, they immediately sensed the quality. When they wrapped their vicious mouths around the solid, but soft and forgiving tennis balls, they proceeded the destruction process. But they couldn't because I use them exclusively for fetching. No other sporting goods store or pet supply store in my location carries these wonderful tennis balls.Thank you, Academy Sports for selling these to me and my dogs.P.S. I'm sure the local tennis players like them too.
I think, these balls are a tad heavier and smaller in comparison to Penn Extra Duty balls. But that's what we like about them because the wieght gives us a good feel on the racket and balls also stay in with good amount of top-spin despite hitting bit harder. Undoubtedly, they also last longer and the bounce is maintained even after one or two sets of play on hard court. The only disadvantage is that they are out of stock most of the time, maybe because everyone wants them.
These balls are good for a longer time than the best selling balls. I compared a dozen Wilson Extra Duty balls and a dozen Penn balls that I had put in my basket for practice. Every Wilson bounced higher than every Penn. All balls were new and used within the prior month.
How are these balls for tennis? I have no clue didnt buy them for that. Needed a tennis ball that wouldnt rip after 5 minutes with my dog. All the ones at the pet store dont stand a chance with him. Decided to get these. 1st I had no clue how affordable these are. 2nd holy moly these are amazing. Marley loves these n he hasnt ripped a hole in them yet! I ended up getting the heavy duty ones. He goes crazy for these! Was thinking of getting a professional frisbees for him here...got one at the dollar tree...lets just say i wasted a dollar.
These tennis balls are decent. They bounce well and have enough air, but they are not as thick and durable as some higher priced ones. If you’re just looking to play a quick match, they’ll do the trick. If you’re s more serious player, I’d suggest a higher quality tennis ball.
I bought a case of 24 tubes and the balls have been horrible. The felt is all gone way sooner than I've ever seen on new balls. The quality has gone way down. I used to think Wilson were the best balls at this price point. But now have to think that Penn and Dunlop make better balls at this price. Maybe when you introduce a more expensive ball, then naturally quality goes down at the lower priced balls to accentuate the difference and in quality for the money. I'm not ever going to buy these balls again
I purchased the Wilson Championship Tennis Balls for my drying to help with the drying of the clothes and fluff them on. The Wilson balls do a very good job. I do recommend them.
