Wilson Clash 108 V2 Tennis Racquet, 4 1/4

First time with this racket and it was flexible as advertised, actually felt spongy at first because I had strings strung at 50 lbs. and had a trampoline effect, but I eventually got used to it and I liked it. The balance and weight of the racket was close to my previous racket. I liked the spin and was able to clear the net with more clearance and depth. The sweetspot on off center hits could be better but in general this is a great racket for my type of game.

AMAZING update to the Clash Pro

I spent a few weeks play testing the Clash Pro v2 and absolutely love it! Wilson has made some fantastic decisions with this update making it one of my favorite frames in the entire Wilson lineup. For me, the first thing I noticed was the balance. Although many of the specs from the v1 carried over, the 30.6cm (unstrung) balance felt super at home in my hand considering my Pro Staff if balanced at 30.5cm. This HL construction allows me to swing freely without worrying about over hitting. The v1 let you feel how flexible the frame was, but the v2 leaves you feeling very connected to the ball. I can’t over stress how much I like this Clash Pro update. It has been my constant goto over the past few weeks and will continue to be one of my regular teaching rackets going forward!

Horrible Paint Quality

I bought this racquet new 04/01/2022 directly from Wilson. I strung it the next day and the 4 areas where the stringing machine clamps touch the racquet (and a few other area's) all lost some paint. You can literally scrape the paint off with your fingernail. Out of the 400 or so stringing's I've done, I have never seen the paint come off at the clamps. The best part is Wilson's response, "Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience however paint chips are not covered by warranty as stated in our warranty terms and conditions because these do not affect the overall integrity of performance of the racket". Stringing a racquet is a procedure that needs to happen for a racquet to be used. It delivers as expected

I've been using the Clash V1 for more than 2 years. I decided to try the Clash V2, as I've read some interesting reviews about the racquet. It definetly delivers. It feels like a Clash, but I do feel I got more control than before withouth sacrificing power. I add weight to the Clash V1 but so far I dont feel it has been necessary with the Clash V2.

Player friendly high quality racket

I am really very happy with this racket. I was playing with Head Instinct S which is light weight racket but has stiffness rating of 62. I had arm pain playing with it even after using Multifilament string. So I choose to buy Clash 100L with stiffness rating of 55 and now I can play well and my arm pain is reducing. I can enjoy the game.

The v2 hits different

I won’t pretend to understand the finer details around technological updates and improvements from the v1. For a social/casual player like me, that much is evident in the FEEL. It just hits different.- The tip of the hoop is said to allow for more pop off the sweet spot. You can literally feel the difference.- It’s 310 g unstrung and still just as friendly on the arm (without compromising power). This was and still is the key ingredient for me.- Plays as good as it looks. Check out that colour scheme and embossed logo.The original is a game-changer. The v2 builds on that momentum and takes it up a level. If you’re looking for a racquet change, it comes down to whether you prefer original recipe or extra crispy (win/win in my opinion).

This will definitely appeal to the masses

Seamless transition from the original! This version has a mass appeal, as it could play really well in the hands of the majority of tennis players that are solid hitters playing out in the parks and local clubs.⠀You will probably like this if you:⠀*Want easy power and spin*Enjoy a big sweet spot (thanks to its revised layup throughout the top of the hoop)*Were a fan of the original and its unique soft feel*Consider yourself an intermediate player (more advanced players may want to test out the 100 Pro or 98 versions instead)*Enjoy the infrared colorI would definitely recommend!

Want to love Wilson, but can't due to QC.

I'm a clash fan boy and the Pro absolutely serves bombs. The updates to the v2 are what it needed, but it's easy for other reviewers that are sponsored/receive free equipment to praise this product so highly.Unfortunately, Quality control is AWFUL. Buy two rackets and neither will be alike, or close to the specs listed. When you call in to bring up the tolerances, they tell you to get it professionally measured, and even if you do they drop all communication. Tolerances are absolutely ridiculous. Here's what they say their "tolerances" are... 10 grams and 4 balance points.. what a joke. That's a different racket.Weight: +/- 10 gramsBalance: +/- 10 mm = 3 to 4 pointsRa Stiffness: +/- 3FIX YOUR QC AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT PLEASE

Wilson Clash 295 gms 100 sq.in 4 1/4 grip with Luxilon Alu Power rough

Balance could definitely be improved. The racquet was weighted towards the grip. Swing weight was apparently less than my Babolat 285 gms 100 sq.in 4 1/4 grip, and luxilon strings. The difference in weight of both racquets of identical spec was only 5 gms, though the Wilson Clash racquet is 10 gms heavier as per spec. For forehand drive, the Babolat was definitely superior, control of volleys and single-handed backhands better in the Wilson Clash. Area of sweet spot- no difference between both racquets.Balance definitely needs improvement in the Wilson Clash compared to Babolat where the balance is centred.

Wilson clash 100 V2

I am presently using Yonex Vcore Pro 97l (290g) and as I have progressed, I have felt that high powered racquets have been bad for my game since I don't have to work on my shots. That being said I am loving playing with Vcore Pro bought from Tennishub that has a traditional feel to it. Clash on the other hand has a broad beam width, provides some free power but felt less of a control oriented frame.
