It’s a great cast net. Easy to handle. The bucket could be improved by having two in one as life bait bucket. Otherwise works great

Net that was in the bucket when purchased is a 1/2 in mesh not 3/4 inch as labeled!!!!opened it on my fishing holiday only to find it was not the correct net, almost useless for the purpose it was purchased forVERY DISAPPOINTEDNOT WHAT I PAYED FOR OR WANTEDIF I WAS IN A POSITION TO RETURN IT I WOULDUNFORTUNATELY I AM IN FNQ ON A FISHING HOLIDAY

I have had 3 of these nets in 3 years and they seem to get very brittle and weak over time. If the net is even a few months old and you catch a stick it will rip. Keep it stored in the bucket will get you a few more moths out of it. They are still one of the cheapest nets around though

After using the 8ft 3/4" and 1" for many years I changed to a 10' 1". The knots and lead positions appear to have changed and are much looser - leads get caught up and tears holes in the mono on casting, pocket support rope rips through the net and metal rope swivel gets caught up in the upper net nowFrustrating as my nets last on average several years of regular use normally and this one only a couple months before being beyond repair

Nicely balanced and weighted, this net offers an effective spread. The 1" mesh is ideal for preventing small mullet from getting their heads stuck. The monofilament is of high quality and remains supple.
The leads keep getting tangled in the net after almost every throw.it is really annoying haveing to untangle net after every throw as i have had to pull lead back threw net causing little rips
This net is the worst net I've ever used. The sinkers around the bottom of net are getting tangled in other pockets every second cast. More time spent threading sinkers back out of pockets. I'll use this net around rocks now as I'm not concerned about it getting damaged until it dies.
It's a the easiest cast net to throw. My last one was the same make and dimensions. Wouldn't buy another make.
I have had this net for a few months now and use it almost every day. I was sceptical about getting another one due to the past issues with these nets. I am pleased to say that Wilson have done a great job fixing the past faults and I am very happy with this one. This size is perfect for my usage from sandy banks to mangroves, even catches smallish prawns.
