This ball is a typical outside ball. Nothing special that stood out about this ball. My 13 year old son didn’t like the feeling or the bounce of it, but will use it anyways. To me, the ball feels cheaply made. It did arrive quickly and alreafy inflated, which is nice. We will still use this ball, but definitely not a family favorite.

I bought this as a replacement for another Wilson basketball that had a bad valve. Customer service was pretty good as they helped with the replacement. Unfortunately, this Forge basketball came with defects and the only option is to return for another replacement. Seems wrong to replace yet another Wilson basketball. My daughter is conflicted to have it replaced and wait another for weeks for a basketball at which her season will be more than 50% over or just use it as is. I'm not sure what happened but as you can see in the photos, the adhesive seems irregular and the "skin" of the ball has weird wrinkles in it.

Great ball...not so great grip. The ball bounces true, feels good in the hands, but the grip surface is not very tacky. In fact, when playing indoors OR outdoors, the ball is hard to hold on to and our hands tend to slip off of it too easily. We have a Wilson Evolution ball and playing with it is like having spray adhesive on your hands - it stays where it should.

Solid basketball for indoor/outdoor use. Basketball was delivered fully inflated, no issues. It’s a solid basketball for indoor or outdoor use. Will purchase more for my community rec center. Wilson makes the best basketballs.
The description stated that it is a composite, but it's not; it's rubber! It's written composite on the ball and darker in color: see the pictures to compare. If you're looking for composite basketball then this is not it.
The Forge indoor/outdoor basketball has a good grip both indoors and out. When new it tends to collect dust and dirt due to the sticky feel. This seems to be getting better with use.I received this ball about 6 weeks ago and have been playing in my driveway and in the gym. It performs well.
Not sure if they have a QA department and if they do, I’m not sure how this passed. It has bubbles along the seam where the section aren’t glued all the way and there are sharpie makes along the black seams. I assume in an attempt to cover blemishes. Definitely not worth the price.
The basketball arrived under inflated. This was a disappointment since it was a Christmas present. We aired it up and it will not hold air. Contacted Wilson & it was replaced under warranty. However, the process was not easy. I had to send photos THEN reorder on my own. Not sure why they couldn’t just send a new one. Actually, this was the 2nd time I had to reorder. The first time, I was supposed to get 2 basketballs & they sent 1. This has been a hassle. Wish I hadn’t ordered online. Who knows when the replacement will arrive??
I really like the grip on this basketball. I have used it for about 2 weeks now ( about 5 times) on a black top surface. The grip is still good. The ball has not shown much wear yet, which is good compared to other balls i have used on the same surface. The only negative about the ball, is that it seems a little heavier than most indoor/outdoor balls that i have used in the past. In fact other people that i played with said the same thing, and that was without me mentioning it.Overall, i am very pleased with the ball.
So far so good. Perfect size for my 7year old son for his recreation basketball team. It has held up well with indoor and outdoor play. I looked at quite a few that didn’t seem like they would hold up outdoors at all. Very happy with our purchase 😊
