The ball overall is really well made. However there are a few small details that leave it in the dust as compared to fellow competitors such as the Wilson evolution. One of these being that the actual seams in the ball didn’t have the best grip and kept slipping. Along with this the ball also had an artificial feeling bounce which made it awkward to dribble sometimes. That being said the ball rolled off the fingers very well for shots and the actual texture allowed for very nice grip.

It was dead on arrival. Flat when I got it. I put air in it and it hissed all the air out immediately. I bought for a birthday gift. So, I wasn’t able to give it to the birthday boy. Very disappointing. Now I’m waiting for the exchange to arrive. Hopefully it won’t take long to get it.

I have to say the NBA Forge Plus is veri nice performance and feel is very similar to the way more expensive Evolution. I have use them both in concrete and thr Forge Plus is my go to now over the evoluton. It feels with better grip just to help on the dribble moves while keeping the ball soft enough to not break your fingers on a bad catch of a rebound or a pass.
The ball has been used on our outdoor basketball hoop by my two teenage sons. The grip of the ball is outstanding. It enhances both dribbling and shooting. The material is high quality and the ball still looks brand new despite daily use on concrete. Highly recommend!
Great handle and feel - you would never know it's made from recycled materials.That said, my ball did not hold inflation for more than a day, so I'm filing a warranty claim. Hopefully the next one has a non-defective rubber core.
Bought this ball, Forge Plus, thinking it would be one of the best new balls for outdoor play.I thought it would be equivalent to Spaldings Z/io, which was a great bball. I thought since I like wilson evo for indoor that the Forge Plus would be a really nice ball. Bought 3, Grey, Blue and Green. Now Im stuck with 3 balls that feel like the neverflat. We all know never flat is a horrible ball! However, The feel to ball is excellent! The Bounce sucks, sounds like the ball is too inflated, yet doesn't bounce as high as it sounds.
I got this ball and it felt really nice, it has really good grip, all until you start dribbling it. The ball sounds very hollow when it bounces and sounds overly inflated, but still doesn't even bounce as high as it should. Waste of money.
This ball is perfect for my 2 sons, ages 10 & 12, and my husband! I love the fact that's it's indoor/outdoor and we do not have to monitor if it's an indoor only or outdoor only ball.The grip is awesome, it's not too grippy like some of the cheaper balls, and has the soft leather feel. I would buy this for all ages and highly recommend.

I give it a 10 out of 10 score in Grip and Control (both the channel construction and the grippy feel of the cover are almost on par with a broken-in professional leather ball) and a 9 out of 10 score in Bounce, which is very true and predictable but seemed to be slightly less responsive on a wooden indoor surface. I tried this ball indoors under very hot and humid conditions and found that it really helped my passing and shooting, and also outdoors on a well maintained asphalt court which produced zero erosion to the cover. Kudos to Wilson for delivering the Forge PRO precisely inflated and ready for play out of the box.
