I have a pair of Whiltshire Staysharp Scissors from the 80's and they are still great, ... and sharp. I wanted to have a pair with longer blades so it was a no-brainer, so I bought another pair of Whiltshire scissors. I have not been disappointed with the decision.

Well-made scissors for the kitchen

I own other Staysharp products and this lives up to expectations. I've no doubt it will be long-lasting and remain sharp. I'm not sure it would handle poultry bones though - I'll stick to my shears for that kind of work. One design disappointment is that the blades have rounded ends. I often use scissors for cutting fat out of meat and the like, and sharp pointed ends are much more effective.
