The Replacement Battery for Microsoft Zune 80gb 120gb 2nd Gen 850mAH Repair Part is a battery designed to replace the original battery on 2nd generation Zune players. The replacement process can be difficult if you do not know how to solder wires. Opening the case was easier than expected, but it can take some time to remove the old battery. One customer provided a solution to a common problem when a dead battery will not charge at all. The battery needs a small charge to initiate the charging circuit in the Zune, and connecting and disconnecting repeatedly will charge the battery very slightly each time, eventually retaining enough charge to allow the circuit to begin a standard charge. Overall, the Replacement Battery for Microsoft Zune 80gb 120gb 2nd Gen 850mAH Repair Part can be a cheap alternative to purchasing a new Zune device, but the battery may not hold a charge well, and there may be some difficulty with the replacement process.
