Initially, I thought this ball would be smaller. I thought the ball was humorous and that it would draw attention to my dogs too played with it. However, my adult lab and my puppy wouldn’t play with it. I tried to entice them by rolling it across the room several times, but it has been sitting on the floor where I last rolled it. I thought it would be a great interactive toy for them. Maybe it would be a great toy for a dog who likes to fetch. The ball, by its self is perfectly fine and well made. The outer shell of the ball is very hard and extremely hard. Even my lab couldn’t put his mouth around it.

I have to kick the ball hard to get it to giggle and make noise. My Labradane pup is strong, but the ball has to be moved way harder than a dog can move it to get it to make noise. Baxter pushed it with his nose and paws for less than 5 minutes and showed zero interest after that. Balls are his favorite, and it would have been fun for him, even not working properly if it was small enough to pick up. The "holes" that are supposed to allow a dog to pick it up are not the right size or spaced correctly for any size dog to pick up. I will be returning this toy. He loves all the treats, kong toys, and bones, though! I love getting our very regular chew orders as much as Baxter does.

this is the third one of these we have purchased. the first two were from other local discount stores. Our dogs thinks this is the best toy EVER! He lives for this ball. He knows where we keep it and he knows as soon as we finish our coffee on the porch in the morning its time to get his "Jabber" ball, as we call it, out so he barks up a storm and leads us to the cabinet.I have never seen a dog so proud of his toy or so happy playing with it.Only one problem, he can destroy one if left unattended in about 30 minutes. He will chew on the hard plastic and start tearing off chunks and it is a really hard plastic!Like I said this is the third and last one. I am just afraid he is going to ingest to much plastic. but boy does he love it!!!!!

My dog LOVES this ball, she absolutely loses her mind when the chewy box arrives and she hears it inside- in my house it's been dubbed "The Psycho Ball." Her first one lasted for several months, during which she played hard (and developed impressive soccer skills- her dribbling & ball control would make her the MVP in any Under 12 league). Eventually, the ball started to crack and leave its sound tubes scattered around the back yard. Still, it had lasted for several months of intense play, and gave my dog hours and hours of psychotic joy (& mental stimulation, and provided her w/a much-needed additional outlet for excess energy when our daily run didn't cut it). So when it started coming apart, there was no question I would order a new one. Here's where I started to get bummed out: where the first psycho-ball lasted months, the 2nd one lasted just a week or two before it started cracking. I figured it was a fluke, and ordered a 3rd. Sadly, it, too, had a short lifespan. I just ordered another one (we're up to either the 5th or 6th; I've started to lose count) because my dog loves this dang ball so much, and with the short winter daylight hours, it's a way for her to play outside after dark (we run in the late morning, and by late afternoon/early evening she tends to rally and needs another bout of exercise or she gets the zoomies, and I can only play so much tug-o-war).I don't know if something changed in the manufacturing or the materials used in the wobble-giggle ball, but please, PLEASE make them a bit sturdier! Maybe some kind of lining around the holes where the tubes go, to keep them from falling out and the holes themselves from cracking, or making the ball itself thicker? I don't think my dog plays unusually hard with the ball & don't know why the first lasted so long while every one since then hasn't been as durable, but please, PLEASE fix it!!! It's a genius dog toy, but I feel bad going through this much plastic. And once the first crack appears, more happen quickly, and they make sharp edges. If you're willing to keep a close eye on your dog and check the ball after play sessions, and if your dog enjoys toys that talk back, then they'll probably love this ball!
Marmaduke is a Springer Spaniel/Labrador retriever, one year old and a rescue. I can't begin to list the many challenges related to adopting, however this ball fit the bill for many of them. He is adorable strutting around with it in his mouth, showing everyone what he has. No more worries leaving him alone with it. Being an avid chewer who has singlehandedly chewed more toys and balls then my previous companions this one he carries with pride. Not to say he hasn't tried to chew it up, just saying it is constructed from hard plastic and so far he has been unable to. Not one tooth mark and he loves the chatter/giggle. Worth the value.
Mom took me on a shopping to a big hardware store. I was so BORED, until.. mom picked up a strange ball to look at and it made the most amazing sound! Oh happy day! I grabbed the package right out of her hand and started playing with it. Mom was mean and took it away for a little while, but I took it back because I didn’t want her to leave it behind. I carried this crazy sound ball by the tag all the way to the pay person, with a couple stops to play with it. A very nice lady took it from me and I was so sad but after she made a beep on the table she gave it back, so I could play with it more. Mom carried it to the car because she was afraid I’d roll it into the street, but I wouldn’t let that happen because I love it SO much. Mom carried it to the car because she was afraid I’d roll it into the street, but I wouldn’t let that happen because I love it SO much. I had so much fun barking and pushing it around in the back seat of the car. Mom did get mad at me for barking in the car though. When we got home I played with it forever! I was so excited pawing it, pushing it around on the floor and trying to pick it up that my teeth chattered in excitement! I was so tired though since we stopped for this toy after we already had our long 3 mile morning walk. I finally fell asleep, dreaming of my new ball, barking and running in my sleep. I made sure to keep it with me and under my paw while I slept so the cat wouldn’t steal and hide it. She does that with my plushies sometimes because she’s mean, but I still love her..that doesn’t mean she can have this one though, it’s all MINE!I love the sound this toy makes! It’s so much better than the balls the neighbor kids kick around and the strange ones mom tries to get me to chase. I just wish I could figure out how to pick the darn thing up! It’s just too big for my border heeler mouth. Still it’s a great toy to push around the house with my nose and paws! It’s also fun to push then jump over, it makes mom, dad and The Boy laugh when I do that.Mom says I played with it for over an hour today, all by myself. I didn’t want anyone to steal my toy so tried to stop The Boy from rolling it to me, but he’s much bigger than me and got it away from me a few times. At least he let me chase it after he took it way.Mom: We’ve been looking for something our Xero could play with all by himself. Herding Balls were a fail. He enjoyed them but lost interest quickly. This one is definitely much better since he can do it alone, while we watch and laugh at his antics, and the sound is stimulating enough to keep him interested. The down side is his piercing bark! He does get frustrated since he can’t get it in his mouth but I may try tying a strip of fabric around it and leave a tail on two ends so he can carry it the way he carried it in the store (as another reviewer mentioned). He really did take it all the way to the register! He’s never done that with a toy before so I know he really wanted it. It was a bit more than I would normally pay for a toy, but if he plays with it like he did today even once a week it’s worth it!
My dog LOVES this toy in an obsessive way. It’s legit hard plastic. No rubber or soft materials at all. His dentist said it has worn down his teeth. And advised to only use softer toys from now on. The squeek sounds sounds a lot like a baby or small toddler. So when kids around make that noise, it catches my dogs attention in a similar way. So the toy is amazing, but almost too amazing. I wish they made it with softer material and changed the sound to something that doesn’t sounds like a child.
He is 20 lbs w/small mouth. He cannot bite or pick up this ball so it is safe with him. He pushes it around, wants us to play soccer with him with it. He barks, growls, and basically plays by himself until the ball winds up stuck someplace he can’t get it out. You have to be willing to listen to the ball’s techno sounds and the dog’s barks/growls until the dog gets tired.I got the same ball for our daughter’s much larger black-mouth cur who can destroy any toy, and has.It took no time at all for him to grab it in his jaws and gnaw the green covering and maybe even crack the surface material. So know your dog before you order. For ours it was well worth the price. My daughter’s dog’s gift was a momentary pause in his day.
Truly this is a tough ball that most dogs will not be able to destroy (yes, of course, there are super chewers I have had one and they destroy everything) This ball makes an odd squeak I cannot describe and actually I find it a bit annoying, even more than the average squeaker toy.The ball also will roll a bit on its own, while squeaking. This may be great for some dogs.My sensitive runt of the litter goldendoodle who is 55 lbs is afraid of it. Ran from it, and I had to hide it so she would calm down. There is something a little off on the squeak that may unnerve some dogs, and it is a fairly loud squeak when it rolls around. For me, it was an expensive experiment, will probably donate it to a shelter so it does not go to waste.
An amazing toy that’s brought a lot of mental stimulation and excitement to my roommate’s 5mo lab puppy. It has a unique sound and noise pattern so it was intimidating at first, but we spent our first session acclimating and he’s loved it ever since. We treat this as a high-value, 10-15min at a time toy so that the sound doesn’t become obnoxious and the toy doesn’t get damaged. It works very well for those times we want him distracted! We did have a temporary issue where the piece that makes the noise seemed to get stuck and stopped working, but after washing and drying the toy I was able to shake and dislodge it, and it works like new again. Highly recommend as a toy to help build confidence and drive!
