This may be a very nutritious additive to mince meat for wild magpies, but the local maggies and butcher birds won't touch it! Even the Australian minor birds spit it out. Sorry Wombaroo, but that's just the facts.

The juvenile magpies and adults alike, as well as pied and grey butcherbirds were not at all keen to take beef mince with the mix. One or two birds picked a small ball of it up in their beaks, and let it drop away rather than swallow it. I think overall it was a bit of a disappointment for the money.

The only way to assist fledglings and parents during periods of drought or other food scarcity. Not only Magpie fledglings but Kookaburra, Noisy Miners, Butcher birds and Currawongs.Important to stick to mixing guidelines on packet, otherwise it can cause malformation in young birds.Human-grade Mince mixed with Wombaroo is recommended and what I use. This product has helped a large number of birds in my area during recent drought and Bushfires.I make up a kilo of mince with correct dose of Wombaroo and freeze in plastic containers. Quick to defrost when needed

Important birds have nutrients. I only feed small amount of mince tossed with insectivore. Butcher birds & Kookaburras love it.
It must be good because all my magpies keep coming back for more. I mix it with regular mince to make sure they are receiving the nourishment they need.Vet n Pet direct are very quick and efficient.
Product was recommended to me by a mate who also feeds wild, carnivorous, native Australian birds. Until now, I have been dusting the food for the birds (including two different species of raptors), I feed with powdered dolomite, as was recommended to me, many years ago to help compensate for the lack of essential minerals, especially calcium. This product, despite the price, is, obviously far better for the well being of the birds and they, seemingly, absolutely love it, which indicates to me the manufacturer has thoroughly undertaken their research and is producing a quality product. Definitely, knowing as I now do, recommend this product as an absolute essential to anyone feeding native, carnivorous birds.
Great when mixed with beef or chicken mince and ground walnuts. My friendly neighbourhood Maggpies love it as do all the other birds. They are fighting over the food.
I have been buying this for my magpie family for a couple of years. A little goes a long way, making it great value. I mix it with extra lean mince to give them and their babies a balanced diet. They seem to like it as they keep coming back :)
I have been feeding an injured magpie this food for over a year , I have noticed improvements in feathers and appetite, she has introduced her partner to us and he loves this food as well . Highly recommend
I love this product for my wild birds. My Magpies, Kookaburras, Butcher Birds and Currawongs love it too. They bring their babies too. They are so healthy, and love it too..
