Was hesitant to try a stability shoe because I wasn’t sure there would be enough cushion and comfort for longer runs. However, the Kayanos have perfect balance of stability and cushion. I have been wearing them for all my road running and have noticed I fatigue less in these shoes. They run a tad small so I would recommend going up a half size.

I used to a great fan of Asics Gel Kayano but when they upgraded to 29 series I was somewhat disappointed with the the heavier weight and bulky feeling. I tired another shoes but developed a leg injury. After visiting my physio, he recommended me to go back to my stability shoes. With his encouragement I tried the 29 series and it helped me to run three times a week. When 31 came out, I watched a review and bought a pair. I really like the new design, the toes box is good and it provides the support I need to run a marathon.

I have maybe around 300 hundred km with them.What are my first impressions: These snickers are strongly for people who wish to train every day and have implemented their workout in their everyday lifecycle. The stability and comfort in these shoes is very impressive . It offers support, cushions, light, reliable and good experience for every feet.

I run daily 3- 6 miles a day and have tried to break these sneakers in for the last two weeks. Running with them has caused my right knees and left upper foot area to hurt.I've compared them with other sneakers and have written a Log to ensure it is the new sneakers. It is the new sneakers. Footbed is wider than normal. Not as cushioned as past models.
ASICS kayano used to be my go to for support (instability injury). I have now tried three subsequent shoes since the design change (prior kayano gel 27 wore the tread off!) the 29s -31 I cannot cannot wear without extreme foot pain hobbling after 100m. I have given up. HOKA and brooks adrenaline no issue at all!!
Like running on clouds! I had my gait analysed and needed to buy a half size bigger for my half marathon. Was really drawn to these based on the description and also how they look. I was previously running with GT2000s which I loved but these are a lot more cushioned and so much more breathable. Not to mention look really cool and really make me feel the part when out and about. Super happy with my purchase.
I have owned this model since the first day it came out. I can safely say that this model is outstanding in many ways! Extremely stable, comfortable and fit perfectly on the foot! I highly recommend this model for long and lighter runs, because the recovery time afterwards with this model is extremely short and your feet are in perfect condition right after the run itself! They are also visually just gorgeous!
These running trainers have been life changing! As an over-pronater, I really struggle to find a stylish stability shoe, but these fit the bill! Stylish, lightweight AND comfortable/ supportive. As a previous loyal customer to the GT2000 (another great stability shoe), it is very clear ASICS are the brand to beat for over-pronaters like me.
I have never been a stability shoe person, and my feet didn't agree with the earlier iterations of the KAYANO. Since the release of KAYANO 30 last year, which featured improved cushioning and the 4D guidance technology, I got converted and gladly use Kayano for my long runs. Kayano 31 fall into the footsteps of its predecessor - the cushioning is excellent and doesn't inflame my tendinitis ( a lot of high drop shoes do), the upper is breathable and the color palette is perfect.
Very narrow, different colors fit differently. A in store associate told me this is true for most shoes for both men and women and that really sucks. I felt like all my toes were being smashed at the top despite wearing the same exact size in another pair of Kayano 31s. The return policy is not friendly/practical and they wouldn’t let me return only because I took off the top tag. Customer service was also not nice over the phone. I would not recommend this shoe and now will go with other brands with a better return policy.
