They feel very stable underfoot with a nice heel to toe rocking motion and good grip which seems, to me at least, to encourage better running form. What about the fit?It was recommended to go up half a size and I'm glad that I did. Stay away if you are a woman with bigger feet. These are ugly, ugly, ugly on me. The way the heel sticks out an extra half an inch or so makes your feet look grotesquely HUGE. I look like I'm wearing size 13 men's and I'm a woman's 10. These are NOT it for women with feet bigger than a size 7. Reviews say size up half and a lot said a whole size. I tried a whole size up to 11 and that was absolutely the wrong decision, it was so big and wide. I tried the 10.5 and the fit was better but still wide. I did not feel tightness or a snug fit across the top like others are mentioning. In fact, I was a bit worried that the material would stretch and loosen with wear, plus the wide toe box for me, that I almost wanted to stay true to size 10. They are uncomfortable and instantly gave me shin splints just from walking up and down my hallway. I really don't get the hype with these. NOTHING wow'd me about them. You want to walk on clouds? I like this generation, but Iām a bigger fan of the Infinity 2 for reasons that may or may not be important to you. Regardless itās a very worthy shoe.Iām generally not a fan of flyknit for any athletic shoe due to the lack of support. While very comfortable, you can really only run in a straight line. Tight turns are totally out of the question and even moderate curves I can still feel my foot sliding in the shoe and edging toward a rolled ankle. The 2 also had a supple upper, but there was definitely more support, so turns were much more manageable. I absolutely would not ever recommend taking these on trail runs. The 2 has a cool design on the sole, but I knew I was going to wear through, which I eventually did. I think these will last quite a bit longer.Lastly, the Infinity 2 had a rounder shape to the foam in the sole that lent itself to rolling weight transfer if you ever find yourself heel striking. The 4 also has a round shape, but the center has a longer flat patch which feels more stable. Not sure Iād call it better or worse, just different.Either way, these are still great running shoes and looking forward to logging a few hundred miles on āem

While this does help a lot with keeping my foot secure, it does hurt a little when I tighten my shoes too much. As for daily wear, these shoes feel great. It seriously feels like wearing a sock. These shoes replaced my Pegasus 38s (I was convinced I could not find a better running shoe then my pegs) and so far they have held up very well. The biggest difference between the two pairs is that the Pegs felt like a lot faster tempo trainer than these Infinity Runs.I am a 400/800 runner in high school and our workouts normally consist of 150-300m fast pace repeats and possibly a mile or two easy run every once in a while. Comparing the two shoes, the Pegs would definitely be better for my faster workouts and the IRNs would be better for slower, longer runs (the Pegs were still great for the mile jogs).
I purchased this sneaker along with 4 others for Christmas. I didnāt wear them until the spring because I live in Boston. For what I paid, Iām not impressed with these sneakers. The bottoms are very comfortable but the top where the shoe lace ends and connects to the tongue which is attached to the sneaker in a different manor. The entire tongue is attached and connects at the bottom (on the inside). I put them on, felt great. However, I didnāt wear them for more than 5 minutes when I got them. Now that I have worn them for a longer time, I get a horrible pain on the top of each foot exactly where the end of the laces on the left side. I can feel the material over lapping there and the tongue ends there also so on each foot it happens to land on the vein in the top ...Ā MoreI purchased this sneaker along with 4 others for Christmas. I can feel the material over lapping there and the tongue ends there also so on each foot it happens to land on the vein in the top of my feet. The right one hurts more, probably because Iām a righty. I purchased shoe stretchers but they havenāt helped. Itās not the length, itās the part where the tongue ends and the shoe laces begin. It maybe just how my feet areā¦.Also, Iām not impressed with how hard it is to keep them clean and once dirt does get on the top material, itās very difficult to get clean. I have shoe wash, spot remover, etc.I wore them twice and had to wash them after the second wear. I first attempted to spot clean the toes but it didnāt take the dirt out so I washed them and used a stain remover but the dirt still was not completely off. Iām thinking of bleaching them but afraid it will turn the sole yellow. I got the grey ones with pink and purple on the sole with white soles. I donāt see that color so I hit anyone to write this review. I typically love Nike but this sneaker needs to be redesigned on the top. The bottoms are great. For the price, I expected a lot better quality. I love my Nike torch sneakers which I had for three years now and they still look decent and I paid a lot less for those ones. Please do something about the tongue, material (stain wise) and laces. I wish the laces started further down the sneaker, closer to the toe and the tongue wasnāt attached along the sides and to the bottom. If you have a short and little bit wider foot than someone with long slender feet than I would make sure to walk around your house for a while before deciding to keep these. Also, if you have a high arch, than it may cause the same issue. Iām not sure if itās due to where my veins are located or not. I would advise wearing for a hour.
So I ordered three colors of these sneakers and based on the reviews, I ordered a size up (normally I wear an 8, ordered an 8.5). I think I really like them, but I would definitely recommend ordering a full size up. My toe is right at the edge so I am reordering for the 9ās.Iāve only had them on for a few minutes to try on and the upper is a really stretchy / flexible sock like feel - if you like to feel more locked into a running shoe, this might be too āsoftā of an upper for you. That doesnāt bother me, so I really like them. The foam is a little firmer than I was expecting (but also it feels very different than anything Iāve ever ran in), so excited to see how this performs. Like I said, Iāve never felt a foam like this, so tbd on final review until I actually can run in these but so far Iām excited. I just wish the sizing wasnāt such a hassle.Of note, I do not have a narrow or wide foot - if you have either, I would take my sizing feedback with a grain of salt.
So, I have a pair, size 10.5, of the InfinityRN4 GORE-TEX and absolutely love them. I ordered this, Flyknit upper running shoe, a half size up as recommended, and am happy I did. The ultra-comfortable collar and tongue enables a snug fit with flexibility. The ReactX in the midsole makes it feel as though youāre walking on air. Though keep in mind they will stretch a bit after you run in them, and may become too loose.I think Nikeās design intent for these is to make a running show that is comfortable and conforming. Thus, making them feel almost non-existent.
The shoe fits almost like a sock and stretches with your footās movement which gives it a nice snug fit. The midsole cushion is amazing. However would like to see more arch support and more cushion in the toe box area. Definitely take the advice and order a half size up per the online recommendation. These definitely run smaller than most shoes due to the stretch fabric design. They are water resistant to a certain extent but not āwaterproofā like the Goretex version which would make this the ultimate running shoe. However the Goretex model is limited to only a few color options so thatās why I stuck with these. Overall a really comfortable and lightweight shoe with good color options to choose from. Very happy with my choice.
I combed through the reviews before purchasing, and Iām so thankful I took a chance. These are the best shoes Iāve had in over a decade since the Free RNs! I have several issues that affect my feet (fibromyalgia, arthritis, previous injuries) that cause me to experience pain, numbness, and tingling. I can tell the difference when Iām wearing these and when Iām not. I can now walk longer distances, stand for longer periods of time, and almost walk barefoot at home. I love them so much I bought two colors and recommend them to everyone. Every time I receive a compliment, I physically take the shoe off, let them feel how light it is, send them discounts and coupons, and rave about how this is my favorite shoe. Listen I have worked in the medical profession for 20 years and it has destroyed my feet. I have tried almost every brand of shoe imaginable and as of this past year developed plantar fasciitis. All the things I have complained about a shoe not having, I have found in this shoe. This has the best arch support. It is like the footbed was molded especially for my feet. It has a decent amount of cushioning and big one-shock absorption. I questioned the outsole on it, but so far it has held up. I take my dog for walks. Well more like he takes me for walks and the traction is phenomenal, especially when he is pulling me on wet, slick terrains. This shoe has me sold forever. I have already bought 3 backups for fear that they will quit making this and I will not be able to ...Ā MoreListen I have worked in the medical profession for 20 years and it has destroyed my feet.
