I’ve owned Nike Pro’s for just about as long as I remember. Growing up playing soccer, I wasn’t playing a second without my trusty Pro’s, as they provided a much needed extra layer of protection from shifting soccer shorts while running. A true testament to their durability, I still have several pairs of those Pro’s from my soccer days, and years later, I still rely on them just as much for things like cycling, running, and under the occasional dress for comfort. When I got my hands on this new pair, I was really excited to see if the quality I’d grown to love was still there, and I was not let down. The Nike Pro’s have been and will continue to be a staple in my closet for both athletic and everyday occasions. The only minor gripe I do have is that for longer wear, the waistband can get a bit constricting if sitting for long periods of time, but through my experience, this can be alleviated by sizing up slightly.

I had high hopes for these shorts but was disappointed. Originally I purchased a size small which I wear in other Nike shorts but they were too small and gave me muffin top. I exchanged them for a medium and wore them to the gym for a strength workout. They looked great when I put them on but once I started moving, the legs rolled up, they gave me major camel toe, and the waist band rolled down. I also noticed the fabric in the waist band started fraying on the first wear. I was really hoping these would work but will be returning the other colors I purchased.

The Nike Pro shorts are a staple for every wardrobe. I've had my shorts for around a year and I would definitely say that they met my expectations, but didn't exceed them. I find them the best undergarment for under a skirt or dress when you just want a little more coverage. However, they aren't too practical for running as they do ride up quite easily. They aren't the most durable shorts as the waistband gets stretched quickly and over time remains stretched and loose. Overall I would say that these are a necessary piece of clothing to have in your wardrobe, but not the most practical for intense exercise!

I am normally a big fan of Nike so I was thrilled to try these shorts, I work out almost every morning either by going for a walk/run or using gym equipment so good workout gear is a must. These shorts are lightweight, soft, and breathable so they didn't cause me to sweat as much as some of the other shorts I wear. In true Nike fashion they wash well and feel high quality on first glance. Unfortunately those are the only redeeming qualities of these shorts.I found these shorts to be very tight and way too small. I am 5'9" and 132 lbs and typically comfortably wear an X-small in Nike bottoms. (I included a picture showing these shorts on top of a pair of X-small Nike woman's running shorts for comparison on size.) I am 5'9" and 132 lbs and typically comfortably wear an X-small in Nike bottoms. (I included a picture showing these shorts on top of a pair of X-small Nike woman's running shorts for comparison on size.) In these shorts I tried a Small and they were skin tight, the elastic band dug in to my abdomen giving me major "muffin top" and an overall lumpy look across my lower midsection; I feel like I would need a size Large for a proper fit! I am thin built, but as a mom of 2 my lower abdomen is an area where I appreciate compression from my workout gear, and these shorts dont have that; they are very tight and fitted but the material is so thin that it does not offer any smoothing or compression to give clean lines or a flattering look. Again because the material is so thin (which is great for breathability but little else) it causes these shorts to show underwear lines, cellulite, and any other imperfections on your bottom half.My final critique of these shorts is that they were very uncomfortable for working out and running. When I was standing still I felt like the length and coverage on my thighs was good, but as soon as I started moving the shorts rode up and were barely covering my bottom. I found that the harder I worked out or the faster I ran the fabric of these shorts just bunched up in my crotch more and I was constantly having to fight them and pull them down.I hate to say it because I am normally a huge fan of Nike, but I will not be keeping these shorts in my athletic wear wardrobe. There are too many design flaws and they are simply uncomfortable, unflattering, and poor fitting.
My daughter LOVES her Nike Pros and has a pretty large collection of them. I say the Sundial/Orange color pop up and ordered them. She loves the color so she removed the tag and brought them to wear at volleyball. When she put them on they were see through (with nude underwear). Luckily she had another pair so she put those on. Hoping we can return them as they are clearly new condition but the tag has been removed.Again this is for the sundial color only all her others she would give 5 stars, just wanted to make others aware.
The Nike Pro Shorts with 3” inseam are smooth and soft. The purple color is not what I was expecting, but looked good with my skin tone so it wasn’t an issue. I was excited to try these out after reading other reviews that said they didn’t experience any riding up, but that was not my experience. I took a couple pictures before exercise and one after doing 10 regular squats. When I first put the shorts on, the fabric glides nicely on my skin and feels like it provides adequate compression coupled with decent sweat-wicking and breathability. The wide elastic waistband sits right around my belly button. I tried a size medium. I’m 5’3” and 165lbs with an average length waist and athletic build, carrying lots of muscle/weight in my lower half. The wide elastic waistband sits right around my belly button. I tried a size medium. I’m 5’3” and 165lbs with an average length waist and athletic build, carrying lots of muscle/weight in my lower half. Granted, I also have remaining “mommy-tummy” and loose skin after three hard pregnancies and difficult deliveries not all that long ago. While the waistband lies flat in a standing position, with my body composition it rolls down when I do any bends and the leg bands roll up my thighs. It’s not a flattering look, but I’m not quite where I want to be at physically yet. I’m hopeful that continued exercise and healthy food choices will help me tone up and that the shorts will fit my body type better. That said, the stitching and seams are well done and the curved seam below the back waistband accentuates curves nicely. I think for the time being, though, I might prefer a longer inseam so they don’t roll up during workouts.
I have distasis recti and I’m currently starting to work out to correct this issue. If you know anything about diastasis recti you know you have a big bulge in your ab muscles due to separation of the muscles in that surrounding area. These shorts rose up constantly. They were rolling down my stomach. I mean just terrible fit for me allThe way around. I have to see how they work for me after I lose my stomach. The materialIs so thin. I do like how they masked my sweat prints.
I recently bought these for my daughter and she had this to say about them:The Nike Pro shorts have quickly become my go-to for workouts. The fit is amazing, providing just the right amount of compression without feeling too tight. The material is super breathable and does a fantastic job of wicking away sweat, keeping me dry even during intense sessions. I also love the wide waistband, which stays in place and doesn’t roll down. The design is sleek and stylish, making them perfect for both the gym and casual wear. Overall, I highly recommend Nike Pro shorts for anyone looking for comfort and performance.
I used to have a pair of Nike shorts that I wore for like a decade, but I do agree with some of the other reviews on here saying the production of these shorts is inconsistent. The ones I got are made with some freak material that causes the elastic band around the waist to hold the shape of any folds that get created. The elastic is SO tight and does not lay flat like most thick bands around the stomach area do for fitness wear. The butt and thigh material fit okay, but because the band is so tight and odd, it causes my fat to seriously bubble under and over the elastic, like increasing upper and lower lovehandles by 100% in size. My body can fluctuate and I am at peace with that, but these shorts really are not flattering, comfortable, or even made correctly.
