After being soooo excited to receive our piano for our little girl's birthday - we excitedly opened it only to find two keys stuck and a massive chip in the paint. The company kindly sent out a new one. Only to receive that one and find that one note was well out of tune. And I mean well out of tune. Flat, dense and a dull thud sound. Completely different to all the other note sounds. I realize, it is a child's piano- but you want the notes to sound right! Contacted HipKids, was sent out 2 new keys to try and replace. Tried both new keys. Neither worked. Not an issue with the key- but with the tuning of the note rod. When I asked for another replacement was told I could have it, but if it wasn't right - we were stuck with it. We pre-ordered this item while it was out of stock and had our fingers tightly crossed it would arrive in time for Christmas. Being first time parents, we greatly over estimated the importance of having gifts ready on Christmas morning for our toddler (who had no idea it was a day any different to normal) and were put at ease by HipKids excellent communication relating to expected shipping times and arrival.The toy itself is exactly as pictured/described and is a hot commodity in our household. Every guest - adult and child alike - insists on having a turn and enjoys. The sound is slightly more tinny than an actual full sized piano but that is to be expected given it's only a toy. Do not buy if you are prone to headaches as it will constantly be being played!

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter and she loves it. She is always making up songs and playing them for me, but my 1 year old granddaughter also loves it and is pretty rough with it, and her sister. We call her the combat wombat.This piano is very well built and stands up to the roughest wombats

The service was fast, easy and efficient. The package was delivered in excellent condition. The piano is all assembled only have to put together the stool. My girls love playing it! The sound is similar to a grandfather clock chime more so than a piano but it's in tune. One of the keys was slightly out of its place, maybe due to transporting , but it popped back in and is ok. The keyboad cover is the only annoying thing, when you play it, the lid keeps closing onto the girls hands, so I had to put blu-tac behind it to keep it up. The sheet music book is a waste as print is too small and there is nowhere to put it while playing. I would recommend this product for its price and the fact it is a toy.
Actually its been over 3 years since I purchased this piano and I think I can write a solid review now.I was in search of a kids piano that will go along with our current home interior. (I'm not a fan of colourful/saturated toys to be honest).Over the years she did sway away from time to time but came back to play whenever she had urge for some music.For your information, the pitch is not precise like you would expect from a full sized piano but she is jolly happy nevertheless.I recently had a photo shoot with her playing the piano which I wanted to upload but I can't find upload button for some reason..?

Our nanny bought this as a gift for our daughter and we all expected better for the money. The seat had no screws with it to put it together, the keys were very unstable and easy to seperate , the sound was dinky and the top kept falling down in her fingers just with the slightest use. Needless to say I have our nanny the money back for this gift as she was very upset about it being so bad and for the money it should have been better .. not to mention she waited 6mths from the date of order for it to even arrive . Won’t be used ever again sadly . I keep thinking we got a Lemon that was not quality checked and rushed out .. would not buy ever again
I liked this piano until I used a decibel app to check the volume level. Hitting multiple keys at once, vigorously (the way a young child would) produced sounds up to 93 decibel — prolonged exposure to sounds at 70 decibels and above can cause hearing damage and loss. Why don't toy designers take this seriously? So many toys on the market disregard this very important fact. Not happy with my purchase.
My granddaughter enjoys playing on the piano and it is the centre of attraction with other children. The piano is withstanding the beating the 2 years are giving it! An excellent toy piano
Hipkids went beyond my expectations upgrading my delivery so my grandson received it in time for his birthday. Quality is great & the minimal essembly was super easy. Thanks heaps Hipkids, my grandson is getting so much enjoyment out of his Wooden Musical Toy Piano.
