Woolite - For Delicates Hand & Machine Wash Liquid Detergent - 750ml

If you are looking for a safe liquid to wash your woollens and/or silks then I can definitely recommend this excellent product . Of course I am saddened to hear from the first reviewer that animals are used for testing but I have not read this myself and would welcome details of where I can access it. There are other excellent laundry liquids for wool and silk wash but surprisingly Asda does NOT STOCK THEM . Could this be because the buyer has not read further than the word SENSITIVE or maybe GENTLE on the name label ..... please read through instructions and find near the end NOT SUITABLE FOR WASHING WOOL OR SILK .

Delicates & hand wash

I have a few silk blouses and cashmere cardigans and they last twice as long if you hand wash them. Anything delicate really Woolite is the best hand wash detergent I have come across. You do not need to use a lot. You can use it in a machine on a delicates/wool cycle just don't add too much but I prefer to keep it for the hand wash this offer was an excellent price and better than I have seen it elsewhere. Essential for winter season

I always purchase Woolite before a jumper season begins. Nothing washes my delicate woollen jumpers better. It also leaves a delicate fragrance which I really like. Fibres seem to be washed delicately and with the appropriate washing machine setting, I never experience shrinkages.

Good Value for money

Ordered this item to see if it did what was required in the subscription 1. it was good value for money, though you got the savings better if you bulk buy. 2. it smelt lovely. 3. I didnt notive any change in the softness that other products ive brought have shown. Overall time is out on that, but it was good value for money. you need to use it for a long while to make an opinion on it.

Leaves white marks on dark clothes

Ive always experienced this problem with this product. Ive found the ecozone version far superior but it was out of stock for ages. I tried Woolite again to give it another chance but still the same issue. Had to re wash most things.

Made my hands very sore.

I was looking for something to handwash delicate items. I assumed this product - saying suitable for "hand wash" would be suitable for washing items WITH MY HANDS. It was after using it a couple of times, a day or two apart, I realised my hands were sore and irritated. So I thought what new product have I used? Woolite. Reading the bottle - it said "hand wash" clearly on the front. Only when I read the very, very small print on the back of the bottle did I see the words about "wear protective gloves" and "may cause skin allergy" !!! Nasty stuff, badly labelled ! Oh, and now reading reviews, I see this stuff is tested on animals! I will not buy again.

Maintain the life of delicate garments

I’ve been using woolite on delicates, woollens, gym wear , most of my fleeces & gortex outdoor gear for many years and it works every time . Worth every penny as it brings your clothing back to life.

Smelt lovely

This was sent to me to review. I dont normally use a separate wool detergent as I wash everything with dairy non bio liquid. I was waiting for an opportunity to use it and I actually use it on a kids duvet that needed to go on a wool wash. It smelt lovely but I found the design of the bottle top meant that it ran down the outside of the bottle as I was finishing pouring. Im still not convinced I need a separate detergent but Ive got a whole bottle to use to make that decision.

Soft clothes.

Always looked at this product on the shelves because of the appealing colour so was glad to be offered this to review. Made my clothes feel really soft and it has a lovely fragrance, everything came out clean and fresh, good that its not just for wools. Washed a 'dry clean only' faux fur coat and it came out beautifully as did going out tops, undies and sweatshirts. Only gripe is the design of the cap, does have that inner measuring bit but it's not long enough so think this will go gunky round the top after a few more uses (not the end of the world though !). Over all, really liked this product.

Worth the extra!

I've used Woolite for several years now and agree completely with the other reviewers. It is gentle, leaves woollens soft, fresh and fluffy, and other delicate fabrics with plenty of bounce. I've tried other (cheaper) delicate fabric liquids and none of them come up to Woolite, some of them even leave fabric limp. It has to be worth the extra cost if it preserves fabric for longer.
