Well prices. The price is very reasonable and I liked the old fashioned key to open the tin. I found the corned beef quite soft, tasty and the ingredients were more healthy/natural than the alternate brand. I wwasn’t sure what to have it with so I first tried a couple of slices on bread with salad (as a comparison to spam). I found that ok but not the best. Next i sliced some and heated in a frypan with some cooked veges I went to flip the slices but they were soft, and turned into texture of mince. The taste was much nicer heated. I think it would make a cheap and quick alternative to use with pasta sauce

No thanks. OMG! What a disaster this turned out to be. I don't usually mind tinned meat, and have bought another stores product many times before, but this was a nightmare. I was hoping for a quick, tasty sandwich but succeeded in neither. Firstly, the "key" to open the tin broke so I couldn't get it open that way, so tried using my can opener, which was a complete failure as only opened small sections of the tin leaving me no choice but to attack with a knife. After finally being able to bend back the lid enough to get to the food, I was extremely disappointed. It was very dry, bland and crumbly so, after sampling a couple of mouthfuls, I had to bin it. Was left disappointed and hungry. Would not recommend or buy. Zero stars from me.

Not what I expected. Hmmm this tinned corned beef wasn’t what I was expecting. I grew up in the pan-fried sliced Spam era so I thought this corned beef would do similar. However it was very soft when cutting it, and the slices didn’t crisp up in the pan. In fact they didn’t even hold their shape. I ended up just smooshing it all in the pan but it still did crisp up. I actually don’t know how you would serve this. Corned beef hash casserole? Being from Brazil it’s sad to know how many food miles were involved too. We have plenty good beef right here in Australia. It’s a no from me on this prod. Will not buy again.

Enjoyed it for what it is. The can needs instructions to flip key around so head is hanging over can and what direction to turn it. Required effort to open so not suitable for children ( and sharp edges) or elderly. Once open it took some effort with a fork to get it out of the can in one piece. Surprised by amount of concealed fat but easy to scrape off Taste and consistency were good. More like a patte than "meat". I didn't mind the slight dryness as any wetter would be slimy I think. I ate it uncooked and on cracker biscuits. Will try to fry some with eggs next time Brought back memories of childhood camping adventures and if the end of the world came I'd be happy eating it. Will happily buy it again for a rainy day snack.. or the end of the world..

Not for me! I did not have such a positive experience with this product!Found this product easily amongst the canned meat section. The red label helps make it stand out and also conveys all the necessary information. The tin has a pull ring kind of thing (looks like a key). It wasn't too difficult to use and it does the job. I added this product to my fried rice and it did not turn out well! The meat distingerated in my rice and it made the dish very gluggy. I then used it in my sandwiches, which was ok. It was convenient and provided an additional source of protein. I did not enjoy the texture too much and the meat looked very fatty. It was on the salty end but still bearable. Made in Brazil. Disappointing and sub-par. The can was easy enough to open and the presentation is satisfactory. The colour and texture of the meat once opened is not very appealing, but not to the point of off putting. While heating it up in a pan, it doesn't dissolve and cooks nicely like the other brands. However I found the taste to be disappointing and sub-par. It is quite bland and has basically no taste. Pictured below is how I have cooked it mixed with eggs and rice. I would prefer other brands for my money.

It was okay. I liked the fact that there were minimal ingredients for a processed product such as this. However the flavor I felt was lacking a little. Full disclosure, I don't mind corned beef in tins but this was just okay. I also would have liked it if it was made in Australia (it’s made in Brazil) which makes sense given Brazil is home to JBS one of the largest meat producers. If price point is what drives you, this is a solid tinned corned beef. But if it’s flavor and quality you’re after, it’s not bad for the price point, but I’d prefer to pay a little extra for something I really like.

Great in Corned Beef Hash. Thank you for the opportunity to taste test the Woolworths Beef Corned 340gLoved this in my corned beef hash. I boiled my potatoes, once done I added the diced corned beef and diced onion, mixed it all together and served with mushy peas. Delicious. I did try a slice before adding it to the potatoes and I found it to be not to to bad, it wasn't mushy but I had my tin in the fridge. The key isn't very strong and it broke off, so I used my old fashioned hand can opener. For $2;50 not a bad price and I would purchase again just for my corned beef hash. Have a great day everyone

Disgusting could not eat. I was actually excited to try this as our family love ‘spam’ and this product is only $2. 50 so half the price. And the label said it was 98% beef, which is a high meat content for a canned product. But unfortunately that’s where the good parts end. The can was confusing and difficult to open and when I did open it, it left a sharp jagged edge. Once the can was open my six year old (who was sitting opposite me) said ‘what’s that yuck smell’ it was the meat. It has an extremely strong aroma. The texture was grainy, gritty and chalky. And the flavour wasn’t pleasant. It’s what I’d imagine dog food tastes like! I only had one small mouthful and disappointed at the waste threw the rest in the bin. Im wondering if anyone else’s was the same as this? did you meat look the same when you opened the tin?I would not recommend this product and wouldn’t buy it again.

Mushy. Many years ago corned beef was a staple in my pantry. Unfortunately over the years myself and hubby both agree that the product has changed. Not in a good way. Gone are the huge chunks or strands of beef and replaced with more mushed up mince style meat or whatever you wish to call it. I had never tried the woollies brand so was keen to give it a go. Unfortunately we were not impressed. It didn't have the nice pieces of beef and flavour we were hoping for. Sorry bunch but not for us.
