Great to have on standby. I purchased this Buttermilk Pancake Shaker to try after trying the original pancake shaker. I think the waterline could be improved to make it easier to see on this product. It could be as simple as enlarging it and making it brighter so that it is easy to spot. The line could also be around the side of the bottle or right across the back. I suggested this on the Original pancake shaker bottle as well. After filling to the line with water you really need to shake and shake this product way longer than it states as it still has lumps. On pouring out the mix onto my preheated greased electric pan I added a few blueberries to some of the small pancake. We preferred this buttermilk mix to the original but in saying that both are a good product. ... MoreGreat to have on standby. It is good they are made in Australia and come with a 3 star health rating. I would buy this product for an emergency pantry standby and for self catering holidays as I can see how handy it is if you just don’t feel like making them from scratch. Share:

Woolworths Buttermilk Pancake Shaker 350g - A Convenient Bre. Review Points:Convenient and easy-to-use pancake mix. Delivers fluffy and delicious buttermilk pancakes. Quick preparation – just add water and shake. Ideal for a hassle-free breakfast or brunch. Versatile mix can be customized with toppings and flavors. Overall Score: 3/5Note: While the Woolworths Buttermilk Pancake Shaker is convenient and delivers tasty pancakes, it doesn't stand out as exceptionally as some other pancake mixes. However, it's still a solid choice for a quick and satisfying breakfast. Good Price though

Tasty buttermilk pancakes. I received this as a sample, but have already purchased before. I prefer to make pancakes at home, and it really doesn't take any more effort than using this shaker. However, sometimes I don't have the time or extra energy - that's where this product comes in!I love buttermilk pancakes and these are quite delicious when made up. I can never find the line to fill with water though, so have accidentally experimented with crepes (too much water) and rubber mats (too little). Great for camping or when you're on holidays away from your pantry. Reduced washing up can be a bonus too. Will buy again. Thanks Bunch

Easy pancakes. I bought this after reading some positive reviews on this product. Today seemed ideal to have something sweet for tea. It’s $2. 20 for 350gI turned the bottle upside down and shook up the powder contents inside. Then I couldn’t get the blue cap lid off, I couldn’t figure out if a seal needed to be broken and then twisted off or if I just pry it open with my fingers. I tried for a couple of minutes to twist it open and thought about using a knife and stick it under the tab and flip it open, but knives and I don’t get along, and they always win, so I didn’t go along that route ⚠️ I kept trying to open it and finally it twisted open, so maybe that was it. Anyway after opening, you simply add water up to the marked level on the bottle and shake like there’s no tomorrow. As a few wise Bunchees had mentioned that they fill less than the recommended level so they could have thicker pancakes, I did this also. And I shook the bottle and did a good shake and dance in the kitchen. I heated a non stick fry pan and added a little EVOO and poured out a pancake That lump in the batter is a result of my tired arms who couldn’t shake anymore. I regained my strength and added a little more water to get the batter moving and shook it some more. I also figured out that increasing the heat to little more than medium was good to create the bubbles in the pancake. I served the pancakes with Woolworths maple syrup and some healthy spread. I actually like the spread/butter not fully spread out on my pancakes. It has a good cool consistency and makes it special. We both enjoyed the taste and the fluffiness of the pancakes. They’re not like homemade but they’re quick, easy and no washing up of the big mixing bowl. The pancake batter does contain sugar and there’s 15. 6g per 100g and the bottle makes approximately 12 pancakes, I managed to make 11, unless we ate the 12th oneand lost countThe pancake mix is made in Australia from at least 90% Australian ingredients. Sadly it does contain fractionated palm oil, I have to look up what that means but I’m not a fan of this cheap and unhealthy oil. Saying that, I would purchase this to keep in the pantry for times when we want a quick treat to enjoy. The Best Before date is far away July 2024.
Quick and tasty pancakes. We cooked these pancakes on the bbq as part of our fathers day breakfast. Served with bananas, berries, maple syrup and whipped cream they were enjoyed by all. Found it easy to mix the batter in the bottle by shaking. Added a bit extra water after the first one just to make it easier to pour by thinning a little. The pancakes are soft and fluffy with a nice texture. Made in Australia from at least 90% Australian ingredients, with a long best before date of 11 months. At $1. 80 these are great value. We have used this mix in the past, and I will continue to purchase it.
Convenient when time poor to make pancakes from scratch. This product definitely smells like pancakes when cooking on the frypan. It was delicious, enjoyed by all in the household. The texture was fluffy, it was golden brown when flipped over in a short period of time. The package travelled well from the supermarket to home as it was sealed in a plastic jug container. There was no need to worry about the dry ingredients being spilled out. The instructions were clearly listed and it was easy to follow by adding water to the product and shaking before pouring into the frypan. For $2. 20. this product is good value for money when you're time poor to make pancakes from scratch. It is very convenient to cook with this product. I normally buy the Original Pancake Shaker but I didn't realise this could be good to consume as well! Compared to other expensive brands, this is still a steal to buy for a lower price. It is great on its own or topped with jam, nutella, honey, icecream, berries, cream or even choc chips. Great for breakfast or lunch or when kids feel like having pancakes!
Awesome results for very little effort! We love these Woolies Buttermilk pancake shakers! They are so easy to use and the kids have fun shaking the mixture and pouring it into the pan. The texture of the pancakes is fluffy and you get the creamy, buttery taste you would expect. We made enough for four people. About 12 large pancakes or 16 smaller ones. Delicious with a drizzle of maple syrup and some strawberries or blueberries on top. Quite handy to take camping as well. I think the pricing is good value and we usually keep one of these shakers in the pantry.
Convenient and fun. This Woolworths Buttermilk Pancake Shaker is convenient to have in the pantry and easy to prepare. This product is affordable at $1. 80 for the 350 gram shaker and has a good shelf life. The package I picked up has almost a year until it’s best before date, additionally, it was very easy to locate in store. These pancakes were easy to prepare and the instructions were very clear and straightforward. It doesn’t need any fancy ingredients to make, only water (350ml). I do think the “fill level” marker could be clearer. I thought it was a little small and not easy to spot. The mix came together quickly and smoothly. I would be interested to know if this mix would last in the fridge or if you have to make it all immediately? These are great to have on hand and my teenagers love to make these as an afternoon snack.
Handy for the pantry. We have had this on many occasions, so it was an ncos treat, just in time for father's day. I made these for 2IC. I tweeted them a little, instead of using the shaker, I emptied the bottle into a bowl, I changed out half the recommended water for milk and whisked an egg into the water and milk before adding to the pancake mix. I lightly whipped the mixture, being careful to not over whisk. Nobody likes rubbery pancakes. They came out beautifully. The egg and milk gave them a little something. All sorts of things could be added to make them fancy. A great price, @ $1. 80, and half the price of named brand. Easy to find on shelf and the packaging is great. It stands out against the others. We will recommend and definitely buy in future!
Convenient, fun, affordable and easy! I have purchased these before but of course was happy to score this sample. Although pancakes are easy to make from scratch, this is convenience we are paying for and given it’s only $1. 80 it is affordable. I have tried both milk and buttermilk variants, I would say in general I prefer buttermilk in pancakes. Easy to prepare, easy to make and easy to consume! I like the classic maple syrup but I also like the other usual toppings as well - jam and cream, lemon and sugar, honey and blueberry etc. A great way to get kids cooking in the kitchen. Last time I purchased this, my grandchildren loved making funny shapes and making pancakes (read mess) together!I have also tried the other brands, I would rate them slightly better in ... MoreConvenient, fun, affordable and easy!
