Woolworths Cheddar Cheese Puff Pastry Twists 150g

Flavour Increase and Sturdy Packaging Needed! In theory I love the idea. Crispy light and cheesy they would make a great snack as they are or used to accompany dips on the antipasto board. However what lets the product down is that they are fairly bland. There is no distinct cheese flavour and they are very crumbly, making a mess in the pack and in the home as you consume them. There were also many broken inside the pack due to them being easy broken and fragile. As such, presenting them on a cheese platter would be difficult as at least half were broken before opening the pack. To improve the product I would suggest better packaging so less breakage in transit/before opening and a flavour increase to make the taste pop!

Going around the twist. Took me a long time to test these out as they were out of stock every time I went to the shops. They are a product of France so probably got caught up in the delays in shipping etc due to covid etc. $3 a pack and to be honest we weren't that thrilled with them. If I didn't know they were supposed to be cheese flavoured I would never have guessed it as they were a bit bland. I did think they had an overpowering oily taste to them. Probably nicer if used to scoop up a dip of some type or had something wrapped around them like grilled zuchinni and ham etc. Serving suggestion is to use on a cheese platter or to add to soups and salads so will do that next time those things come up on our menu. But wont be buying these again.

Lacking intense cheese flavour. We did not wait for the cheeseboard or dip but tasted straight away. Agree that they are light and crisp. Was waiting for the "tasty" but failed to find the expected cheesy flavour. They do not leave that coating of fat in the mouth after eating. This left them in the Good category rather than very good. I still enjoyed them. France has the reputation of making great pastry but I think we could find high quality pastry chefs here. If there is an Australian brand, I would prefer that or to make my own out of ready rolled puff pastry. The price of $3 is about what I expect. Will consider but would choose other options.

Tasty Puff Pastry Twists. I loved these twists and rated them 4 only because several of them were broken in the package. They are very light, flaky and fragile and very tasty in my opinion. Hubby was not a fan and thought the cheesy taste was artificial tasting. I've eaten about 8 out of the package and there are still plenty for the charcuterie board I plan to make on the weekend. The price is fair... they packaging... meh! I put them in a large ziploc after opening as I feared they would go stale & soft. But I love them and will definitely buy these again

Not a Fan. These were easy to find in the biscuit aisle of my local Woolworths. I didn't know what to do with them to be honest, eat with dip, dunk in soup? The packet suggested they be eaten as part of a cheese platter but I didn't have any cheese So hubby and I tried them plain. They were crunchy and flaky, they had a mild cheese flavour. But neither of us went in for second or third pieces. Hubby declared he didn't want any more and I wasn't keen either. I actually can't see the point in eating it, I would prefer a cracker. I appreciate the sample though as it's good to know there are other options. The other positive is that for the price there is quite a lot in the pack and each stick is a very decent size, which makes it good value for money.

Great for dipping. These Cheddar Puff Pastry Twists were a really great stick to dip and enjoy. I tried one by itself and it didn't really taste like cheddar. When eating it via the dip method, the cheddar flavour came through and I could taste it. Maybe it's like chips, some chips are full of flavour and others aren't. They were crunchy and flaky and didn't fall apart when eating. They would be great on a cheese platter and they look really tasty. I actually dipped mine in a thick pumpkin soup and you could crush them up a little as extra crunch on top. I have fond memories of my mum making cheese twists in the 1970s to serve with pre-dinner drinks when entertaining guests in the 1970s and 1980s, so had that standard in mind when I tasted these but was super impressed with how great the Woolworths home brand Cheddar Cheese Puff Pastry Twists are. Lovely light snack. Cheddar Cheese puff pastry twists, they were a delicious light snack. I did serve these as part of a cheese platter, but, due to the light and soft packaging quite a few were broken, but, that didn't stop us from enjoying them. A very light cheese flavour, and good pricepoint. Maybe the packaging could be improved with a more stable outer, that would hopefully protect the product from breakages. Oven baked, well that's a plus. I would buy these again because I enjoyed them.

The kids love these. These are such a simple idea, and so popular with the kids - they love them. We serve them with pasta meals for something a little different. It is a great way to distract them from an unfamiliar pasta meal, because they are far less suspicious of the other food served when they are distracted by these!I don't mind them, but wouldn't buy them for myself. But for my kids? Absolutely!

Very tasty and crunchy. We found these twists to be very tasty. We shared them with friends on a cheese board and they were crunchy and a slight cheese flavour not overpowering. Fantastic value for money and I will be buying again. My son enjoyed taking a few of the leftovers to school. Just something different for the lunch box. I like they come in a tray as this definitely protected them. All twist were in shape not broken bits. They are defiantly nicer than other brands that we have had. Thank you bunch ❤️❤️
