Love this cheese. I was so excited for this sample. Colby is my favourite grilled cheese addition and melts into gooey love filled bliss. I don't normally buy this format as the price is a bit too hefty for our weekly budget but I am a lover of the little block that we slice up at home. My gosh this was a treat I put it in Grilled cheeses, used it to top pasta bakes and lasagne and added it to fresh sandwiches too. It's completely versatile and melts beautifully with fantastic creamy flavour- it's not sharp but delivers that cheesy hit you need. The outer packaging is recyclable but the inner ones aren't which I hope woolies can find a earth friendly alternative for soon. A great all rounder for the entire family! I have tried this cheese before and have purchased it multiple times. So to score a sample was very welcomed because we love cheese in this household and Colby is a fantastic everyday cheese. At $8. 50 a packet it is not the cheapest cheese on the shelf for the quantity. We know that if you are watching your pennies, buying an unsliced large block provides better value for money. However noone can deny the slices are super convenient and keeps the cheese in order (no more haphazard lopsided hacks at the cheese that gets grubby from too many hands and sports messy torn up packaging!) So for the convenience of even pre-slicing we pay a cheese surcharge here. Despite this, cheese is an expensive product in general and this by ... MoreA great all rounder for the entire family! For a family on a budget this may well be the best option unless you opt for the block. This cheese tastes mild enough to please the entire family and is perfect on toasties, in cold sandwiches or on toast for breakfast. It melts well and has a good fridge life if kept well stored in the fridge. Once the plastic pack is opened, I zip lock the cheese to avoid drying out. I love the two pack separation to maintain freshness too! With the cheese made from 98% Australian ingredients and providing a good calcium source, it’s thumbs up from me!!Two issues - high fat content as per all yellow full fat cheeses plus plastic packaging. Would be great to see a reduced fat version of Colby cheese so the consumer has choice and different packaging introduced to remove or at least reduce the plastic used.

Cheese Heaven. I love Colby cheese - it has a nice, mild flavour that's a pleasure to eat on crackers, in sandwiches/toasties, in melts, etc. For me I prefer it over tasty cheese any day. So I only had positive comments for this sample. It's not cheap but no cheese is these days and compared with other brand names this is heaps cheaper. I love that it's Australian and has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. I also love that it's recyclable. The internal packaging says plastic goes in the bin but I'm not sure if that's becasue the supermarkets are no longer doing the Red Cycle recycling or not. If it's an update then our council still allows us to recycle soft plastics so for me it's fully recyclable. While some people might be aghast at the excess ... MoreCheese Heaven. While some people might be aghast at the excess packaging with the two separate plastic covered portions, I like this feature. It keep the unused portions fresher for longer and saves me transferring the contents to another container. For me the price, excellent taste/flavour, being portioned into two and having it pre-sliced makes this very convenient and easy to use. I will definitely buy it again and can highly recommend it to others.

A Cheesy Delight! We love these Colby Slices! and also, the tasty slices from the Woolworth range. They have a mild but creamy taste, are a great source of calcium and are easy to separate the slices. I also like there are two separate portions to keep the portions fresh. We use these for sandwiches, grilled cheese on toast, toasted sandwiches, salads, and on crackers. They are Made in Australia from at least 98% Australian ingredients, great value for money, have a 2. 5-star health rating and are vegetarian. There are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. One slice contains 1/2 serve of Dairy. Ingredients:Pasteurized Milk, Salt, Starter Culture (milk), Non-Animal rennet. Colby Cheese slices. I was very excited to try this sample. I normally buy the Dairyworks Edam Cheese Slices. Easy to locate in store in the cheese section. Comes in clear plastic tub with 2 x 12 slices in individual plastic packs. Great for keeping fresh. The long use by date is on the individual plastic pack of 22 August 2023. The slices are good colour and thick – no at all like the old “plastic cheese” we used to get as teenagers. They easily come away from the pile of slices and hold their shape very well. The texture is robust and sits well in fresh or toasted sandwiches, burgers and wraps. The taste is smooth and creamy with a very mild flavour. Price point is $9. 00 for the 500gm 24 pack, which is a little expensive (dairyworks is normally around the $7. 40 ... MoreColby Cheese slices. I was very excited to try this sample. If I cannot get the Edam slices, this would be my next go to choice.
Delicious cheese. There's not much not to love about these cheese slices. I really like how thinly they are sliced. The colby cheese is tasty and not overpowering in flavour. It's very tasty. I love it with crackers and on sandwiches. It's very comparable to other brands and the only one I like more than this is the Aldi brand colby cheese as it's slightly better salted. But on the other hand, it's a block and not conveniently sliced - so my preference would be to buy the slices. I only eat full fat dairy products so I'm not really concerned about the 2. 5 star health rating. I make up for it with heaps of fruit and veggies throughout the day. 98% Aussie ingredients is awesome - great to support our local Aussie dairy farmers. The only negative for me would be the cost - it has gone up quite a lot in price recently and at $8. 60 ($17. 20 per kg), it's quite a costly add to the weekly shopping. There's also not much difference in price between this Woolworths brand and other brands anymore - so if another brand is on special, I would choose those over this one. Thanks for the fantastic sample Bunch!
Delicious melting yumminess . What a great sample to get with the price of cheese these days. A delicious mild, creamy, slightly nutty cheese with 2 separate sealed packs each containing 12 slices, giving a total of 500gm. Made in Australia from at least 98% Australian ingredients and suitable for vegetarians. A 2. 5 health star rating, which for some reason I find surprising as I thought that would be higher, I guess the fat content brings it down. No artificial colours flavours or preservatives. A great source of calcium. This pack retails for $8. 60, coming in at $17 a kilo, compared to Bega slices which are $28 a kilo, and Cheer at $25 a kilo, so it’s really a no brainer price wise. Thanks so much @bunchteam, for my much appreciated sample, and it’s definitely ... MoreDelicious melting yumminess . What a great sample to get with the price of cheese these days. Nice handy cheese slices, packaging could be improved. Lovely soft texture and creamy taste that I’d expect from Colby. Perhaps a slightly more bite in the after notes than other Colby, which I like but may not be appreciated by those who like a very mild cheese. Whilst the two individual packs inside the bigger one are appreciated, I found it hard to get one cheese slice out without breaking it or take all slices out (not impossible, but tricky). To reseal I used a large clip, and had to be very attentive when cutting open the package to ensure there was enough plastic to clip. I’d suggest that the packs inside are resealable to keep the cheese fresh. The price is in keeping with other pre sliced cheese. I don’t normally by pre sliced as it’s expensive per kilo, but do love the convenience. Usually I use a Swedish style cheese slicer on regular block cheese and find it suitable for our needs. Having said that if you specifically want Colby cheese this is only $17. 20/KG as opposed to the block of Colby at Woolworths which is $20/KG. These would be great if you make a lot of sandwiches. Also great to cut shapes out of for kids for bento boxes and the like. I used mine a few ways. Vegemite and cheese sandwich for a lunch box, toddler style cheese toasty, on crackers for myself - all went down well. For the toasty I used one slice and this was good for a toddler, but I’d probably use two slices for an adult or older child if only using cheese.
Awesome! I love the convenience of pre-sliced cheese. It saves time cutting it up myself, it is easier for kids to get themselves and I don't end up with a block of cheese that ends up getting mouldy. Compared to blocks of cheese I think the price isn't too bad, especially when you are paying for the convenience that comes with it. I love that the cheese is in two separate bags within the plastic container. This ensures the second half will stay fresh and not dry out and the sealable container keeps it all neat and acts as a second barrier from air drying the cheese out. No need to mess around with cling wrap or sealable bags like with a block of cheese. The taste of the cheese is really nice too and that is what it all comes down to in the end. Cheesy Cheesy Num Nums! . I have no complaints here! Was wrapped with this sample and it went a long way. Plenty of tasty cheese toasties, good for my daughter’s lunch, and I liked a couple of slices with crackers in the afternoon, so you can’t go wrong. The flavour was mild and complemented any flavour that you put with it. It came in a handy pack to help keep the freshness in. You would think it would take a while for two people to get through 24 slices of cheese but you would be wrong... that container didn’t burn holes in my fridge! I’m pretty certain I ate half the pack and my daughter ate the other half! This was an ideal Sample as helped out with my budget as cheese is quite pricey these days and since it's is something we both enjoy it saved money. The cheese was really easy to take out of the packet too. It’s important the slices come apart unlike when you have Havarti, all the cheese seems to stick together in one big crumbling lump and I’m left there in the fridge, cursing like Muttley, getting so frustrated I end up kicking it across the room in a fit of frustration. So you will be pleased to know that this Colby is most calming on my mental well-being! Yes, I will definitely buy this again. You don’t need to tell me twice. I think those who know me well know how I feel about cheese. This is coming from somebody who cried in the supermarket because they ran out of stringers. Anyway, I digress... It's healthy, it's good for you, it's made in Australia so you can't go wrong, definitely recommend!
