Great, but prefer larger size pieces of salmon for cooking. There was nothing wrong with these salmon pieces. The down side to them is they are irregularly sized, and you have to turn them individually during cooking. I'd much prefer larger sized salmon pieces to work with when cooking - less hassle/work. Also, if you are using a teflon fry pan, you can completely disregard the instructions to cook the salmon in oil. Salmon is an oily fish so there will be plenty of oil!I won't purchase these in the future - I'll buy the larger (460 gram) pack that has larger pieces (4 of them, usually).

Great salmon shame about the price. We used the salmon pieces for home made fishcakes which is a tried and tested recipe that we often use. The salmon being skinless and prepared was super helpful and made for a much short preparation time. We usually purchase skin on fillets from the fish counter and I was so shocked at the difference in price here. Whilst the convenience was amazing, I can’t imagine paying such a premium price for it and will go back to our usual fish counter purchasing habits. Thank you for the opportunity to try this product Bunch!

Lots of compliments from my husband, salmon perfect. I used the salmon to make a stir fry with Hokkein noodles, with snow peas, capsicum and spring onion. Made a sauce of soy, ginger, sweet chilli, oyster sauce and coconut milk. Couldn't have been happier, lovely chunky salmon, although I cut original size in half. Made me try something different with salmon, I usually buy whole pieces which I either pan fry with Cajun spice and crispy skin or in baking paper in the oven with ginger and lemon. Hubby wants this on the do again list. I assume that these pieces, like the Tassal Smoked Salmon for cooking, are a by product i. e. pieces off larger portions. Having tried salmon this way, I would probably just buy a piece of salmon and cut it up, although the chunky pieces ... MoreLots of compliments from my husband, salmon perfect. Cost is around the same as buying larger pieces, around $30-$33 kg. Very convenient to use.

Fresh & tasty. Love this Tasmanian salmon. Nice and fresh and delicious cooked in the pan with some oil and salt. Didn’t cook as long as suggested on packaging as would be over cooked, especially seeing as some pieces were smaller than others. Went well with a salad and oven baked chips on the side. Enough serves for two people. Personal preference is to buy whole salmon fillet pieces over these smaller pieces and in bulk. This is a nice one but for the price wouldn’t buy this one.
Different and healthy. It nice to have the salmon skinless and the pack serve nicely for 2. Australian made and fresh. The pieces are in different size which make cooking chellenging and cooking time is a bit generous on the packaging. We took it off heat after 4 minutes and it is cooked through. Once cooked, it still hold it shape well and it is something different compared to the whole piece of salmon. Go well in the salad or with rice and honey soy dressing with toasted seasem seeds. It is alot less greasy then Salmo portion and less messy in the cooking process and cleaning process. Straight from packaging to pan and into the salad. Will buy it again, good price and portion is just the right size. Meal is served in 10 minutes.
Feel special that I’m the first to review!! I had to think what I was going to cook when I received this sample as I normally buy larger portions. I decided to make a stir fry with it. Normally I don’t add any oil when I fry the portions as I find salmon oily enough, but this was different. The packet does say to add oil and fry it in a pan, but I thought I’d do it differently. You do live and learn!! As I used a wok I found out I had to add oil as it started to stick a bit and I had to scrape them off! It did give texture to the meal as those bits added some crunchy bits which was a nice addition. I added cabbage and carrot and also vermicelli noodles whilst flavouring it with a lime and lemongrass paste and a dash of soy, some sesame oil and coriander leaves. I must say I was surprised at the end result as we really enjoyed the meal. We usually like our salmon lightly fried to enjoy the taste of it, but as it was diced, it made me think of how I would cook with it. I’m not sure I would have cooked salmon like this if I hadn’t received this as a sample.
Fresh and convenient. Not a cut that we’d usually get so, was glad to have an opportunity to try something different – thanks Bunch team Love that it was skin-off. Chunks were a decent size and cuts were mostly ‘body’ – a total of 13 pieces. Had 2-3 belly pieces, which was manageable; anything more than that would’ve been quite off-putting – we can’t bear the oiliness from the belly pieces. The chunks fared well in a soup, without concern of over-cooking the fish. We had a delicious Tomyam seafood with this sample. Would definitely get this again … and maybe try it in a seafood bouillabaisse.
Tasty - added to stir fry. I cooked up vegetables in a stir fry, with steamed rice. I baked the fish for about 12 minutes in the oven basting at first lightly with extra virgin olive oil, then added the fish at the last minute to the stir fry, adding sweet chilli sauce at the very last. It was delicious. I did note that the cooking directions said 'Product must be fully cooked before eating'. Salmon is sometimes served raw, so obviously this product could not be eaten raw. Generous sized portions for two people, and nice to have skin off - that is a treat.
Satisfaction Guaranteed! $10 for 300 gms. 13 pieces and no bones. Mixed cube sises, need to time cooking as some small others larger or could dice to be the same size. I crumbed mine with the Woolies herb panko. (sorry no photo)Endless recipes would suit these morsels. I have bought these before and love the convenience. The salmon was tasty and cooked beautifully. Hubby was rapt. Better value than the name brands, flavour just as good. Definitely recommend buying. Thank you bunch thoroughly enjoyed this sample. !
Convenient and fresh. I was excited to try this one! It tested my culinary prowess a little as I couldn’t find a tray with similar sized pieces - not even in close to similar. I got around it by putting the smallest pieces in the middle and crowding them together before baking. It looked and tasted fresh and delicious. There were a couple of bones but thankfully they were easy to spot. I think I prefer to cook with larger pieces myself so I don’t overlook it but I appreciate the convenience of this product for different dishes.
