Woolworths Jasmine Rice 5kg

Great taste. This was my first time ever having jasmine rice. Cooked just as well as the plain rice, and gave off a slight but lovely smell. Was a tad sticky, but I was using it in a pineapple chicken recipe which is kind of like a risotto anyway, so that didn’t bother me. My son enjoyed it plain with a dash of soy sauce. Would definitely buy it again. Price is good. Just might rinse it a little better next time to see if that helps with the stickiness

Versatile, tasty but can be less chewy. Pros:-Full-grown rice grains with proper taste, aroma, and texture. -High in fiber. -No artificial colors, artificial flavors or preservatives. -Good sealed plastic bag. -Good value for money. Cons:-Too sticky and bit Chewy after cooking; may not be optimal for certain Indian dishes. -Need to clean and rinse multiple times before cooking. -No way to reseal the packet

Soft Rice. First time trying jasmine rice. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in taste between this product and just plain rice. However, I did notice the texture of the jasmine rice was a lot softer. I even had some the next day, and the texture was still nice and fluffy when cold, unlike plain rice that is clumpy and hard the next day. I would actually purchase this product again. EDIT 5/11/22Okay ever since I got this, I can no longer go back to plain rice. I've now been converted and now I always add jasmine rice to my shopping list! Thanks Bunch :)

Disappointed. Checked package to see what made this rice Thai, nothing, checked Woolies app, nothing. Does the name Thai on package just mean it’s a product of Thailand or have they modified the rice in someway. I noticed that most rice on the shelves are products of Thailand so not many Australian grown etc here. Thai to me means the smell of coriander, coconut milk etc. I cooked the rice in my Thermomix as per normal never had a fail cooking any rice. End result looked awesome big white fluffy grains of rice but the taste wasn’t any different than any other rice I’ve cooked and it was a bit gluggie, so I wouldn’t swap the rice I use normally for this product. Did I miss something because to me the product Thai Jasmine Rice is just a name.

Tasty spin on a pantry staple! I absolutely hate cooking rice, I always get it wrong! But this one was easy to throw into the rice cooker for an early family dinner and smelt absolutely beautiful while it was cooking, very fragrant!We paired ours with some marinated chicken, green vegetables and cucumber. My 2 year old daughter especially loved the taste and could not get enough. It has almost a sticky rice consistency which would be lovely with a curry, I like that the packet features some recipe ideas and different cooking instructions to help cooking novices like myself. Not a rice connoisseur, I’m unaware of the differences between jasmine and long grain apart from perhaps the size of the rice grain. Attractively purple coloured packaging and nice clear labelling. Appetising image of a red chicken curry with recipe on the pack as well. See through sections to be able to see the rice inside the packet I cooked this rice in a rice cooker and found it to be a bit on the sticky side but that may well be what this rice is supposed to be like. Rice is life. I never thought I'd be writing a review for rice, but here I am. This stuff is the real deal. It's like each grain of rice was hand-picked by the rice gods themselves and sent down to earth for me to devour. I've tried other brands, but they were all just 'meh' in comparison. But this rice? It's like a party in my mouth, and everyone's invited. So if you're in the market for some delicious, life-changing rice, look no further.

Great Value Thai Jasmine Rice. We are quite fussy about our rice, we always love the parboiled basmati rice. But was quite impressed with this jasmine rice. I followed the cooking instructions and it's a winner, everyone love it, nice fragrant and taste delicious. Very good value for money. Thanks bunch for giving us the opportunity to try this sample.

Great Product. Initially i was a bit hesitant to try but when I was planning to give it a go, it was sold out in every woolies store. After few weeks, when it was available, I gave it a shot. And I am satisfied with the aroma and test. Worth a try. Great product and would definitely recommend anyone who loves jasmine rice.

Full of Flavour and Fragrant Jasmine Rice. A quality Jasmine rice that is full of flavour, light and fluffy. Cooks to perfection every time and great for any dish. It is an imported product from Thailand but would be nice to see if it was sourced locally nevertheless still great product. It has a health star rating of 3. 5 which is pretty good. As I normally purchase Basmati this Jasmine rice has a more fragrant and pungent aroma. It is great for something different to have on hand in the pantry. Overall a nice quality fragrant rice that is packaged well and easy to locate on the shelf. It is excellent value for money and no difference to the name brands if not better. Highly recommend anyone to give it a try as you will not be disappointed.
