Love me a good Sweet and Sour Pork. We love a good Sweet and Sour Pork and this Pork Loin did not disappoint. We made our own from scratch as as we prefer our meat not battered like our local Chinese takeaway does it. We use: Mirin, Soy Sauce, Cornstarch, Pineapple Pieces and Juice, Garlic, Ginger, Rice Vinegar, Sugar, Ketchup, Worcester sauce, capsicum, onion and of course Pork! Takes 15mins to prep everything then 10-15 to cook it all - less time than driving to pick up the takeaway version. The meat was easy to locate in our local Woolies, packaging was easy to open, meat was easy to cut to size and cooked perfectly. Nice thickness. I has very excited to get this sample. I love the thickness of the steaks. when I got home I got my tenderiser out and made them as flat as possible ( they also get bigger this way). I crumbed them and fried them in a hot pan. Once brown I used 4 of them and put them in my airfryer. I added pizza sauce and grated cheese on top and made them into schnitzel parmigiana. Had it with mash potatoes and veggies. The leftover are for today to make a tasty schnitzel burger. great value as for $10 I get dinner and lunch protein. Wow. Would be interested to hear what others made with their pork steaks.

Great for a stir fry not as a chop/steak though. This item was easy enough to find but does need a quick check to ensure you don't get too much fat. As they were not thick enough to have as a loin "steak" or chop I used them for sweet and sour pork. There was still a bit of fat trimmed and I wasn't even aggressive in removing it (pic attached). There was even the odd piece that looks like their "scotch fillet" but too skinny for this as well. Worked well in this instance, cut, browned and jar of sauce added, heat through and serve and would probably work for a Pork Scallopini or to use in Swiss Steak instead of beef. Not sure I would buy again due to the amount of fat I needed to trim.

Very enjoyable. The pork loin steaks were an enjoyable sample to try. Very fresh and with no strong smell, which pork can sometimes have. 500 grams of steaks which was enough for two meals for the two of us. Cooked in 3 minutes as stated on the packaging, very tender. I would certainly recommend them to others as they were very nice. It will be a purchase for me in the future even though in the past I have noticed them in Woolworths but always thought that as they were sliced so thinly they would be tough, but no they were not. Tonight’s dinner! I cooked these steaks with a teriyaki/garlic marinade and served with Asian greens over lime infused rice. The steaks were perfect and juicy. Not a lot of waste (like there is with some other proteins) and dinner was on the table in 25mins. Have purchased these before and will do again simply because they are convenient and usually well put together in the packaging. ******One small side note though…. Whilst the steaks that were visible from outside the packaging looked perfect, the hidden steaks were badly sliced, lots of fat and substantially poorer quality cuts. *****

Tasty piece of pork. I was very happy with the way this meat cooked up. Very quick, and, if you do it right, still juicy. We got 2 meals each out of this lot. One went very well lightly pan fried with sweet plum sauce as a glaze and veggie fried rice on the side. It was delicious. The next day, hubby begged for pork sandwiches for lunch. This is a rare treat for us as we usually keep lunchtime quite basic. Great thickness for a sandwich. I can see myself taking the time to crumb these when I buy them again. It's good to be able to buy a bit of protein that doesn't involve selling your first born child to be able to pay. These are value for the price. No complaints from this household.

Great quick option. These pork loin steaks were tender and tasty. Whilst I enjoy the quick cooking of these, I do prefer my pork loin a bit thicker sliced than these are. Having said that, they cooked up well and were great with a home made creamy mushroom sauce and veggies. I par Cook the mushrooms in a bit of butter/ garlic and then add the steaks and sear on both sides. Then I add some cream/French mustard until pork is cooked through. Rest pork a couple of minutes while sauce thickens and serve with veggies (steam packs from microwave) which is a super easy and quick mid week meal.

Yummy and versatile. These thinly cut pork loin steaks with just the right amount of fat cooks up beautifully and quickly. These beautifully versatile cuts of pork can be used in a variety of ways. 1. Marinate and cook them up quickly for pairing with rice, salad, in a wrap or in a sandwich. 2. Use in a hotpot - they are thick enough they do not overcook, but thin enough to enjoy in a hotpot3. Make them into schnitzels and pair with sauerkraut4. Pound them up a bit, slather with cream cheese, sprinkle parmesan or pecorino cheese, spinach, a slice of ham, then roll them up and wrap a piece of streaky bacon to each roll (secure with toothpicks). Then bake in a preheated oven at 180 for 30 - 40 minutes (delish!)
