Unknown origin. China, India, Nigeria, USA and Myanmar are the five largest producers of peanuts in the world. But, where are these Woolies granulated peanuts from? I have no idea because the label does not tell me. I think good labelling should tell me where major ingredients are grown or produced. Something like “Packed in Australia. Peanuts grown in XYZ. ”Woolies seems content that we are in the dark on origin on this product (and plenty of others). I get that in 2019 products in Woolies will come from all over the world. But, I want to know where from. This is one issue I consider when determining whether or not I will purchase a product (the test is whether I am happy to feed my kids with it). Otherwise, nuts were fine. Price is good.

The price of this product is reasonable, the packaging is made for plastic landfill (sadly), the "cut" is perfect for my needs, but I am too suspicious of a "mystery source" food, so it won't be landing in my trolley just yet. P. S. After making an enquiry to the Bunch Team I have learned that these peanuts "may be sourced in Australia and/or South America depending on availability".

Such good value. These nuts are great to keep on hand in the pantry as they can be used for so many things. I used some of them in my satay chicken and also tossed a few over the top before serving. They are chopped to the perfect size to use in cooking and baking. Lovely and fresh and crunchy. Extremely good value at only $1. 50 for the 200g bag. Packed in Australia from imported ingredients. I would prefer them to be Australian peanuts but I guess if they were they wouldn't be the price that they are. However, I would still like to know where the peanuts are imported from. One star off, mainly because of the non-disclosure of the origins. I will buy these again as they are a pantry staple.

Crunchy nuts. I had seen these nuts on the shelf but was hesitant to buy them because of not knowing where they came from. However after seeing @charlotte8’s review of these, I thought I’d just buy and try. Plus I used them in Charlotte’s Butterscotch Slice. These nuts are really inexpensive and it’s great that there’s no added salt. The granulated nuts are crunchy and would be perfect on ice cream, cookies, cakes, anything. The pack comes the 100% happy guarantee which is great. I have given 3 stars only because these nuts are packed in Australia from imported ingredients which is a big disappointment. I would not regularly purchase a food item not knowing where it came from. We enjoyed the crunchy nuts served with fruits and cream. I may buy these again if I don’t ... MoreCrunchy nuts. However :- It was disappointing that they were not Australian nuts, considering the large nut farms we have. - Even more disappointing was the fact that the packaging did not tell me where the nuts came from. Whenever i buy products I check their country of origin as I do not believe that all have the same health and safety standards as we do, regardless for whom the product is produced. I also am concerned about pollution contaminants in products from some overseas countries. - The packaging shows that it can not be recycled. Easy and versatile. I first bought these after trying a food subscription recipe that had granulated peanuts mixed in with the rice. We loved it so much we decided we would eat our rice like this more often. I have since used in other recipes. Tonight’s was Loaded Portabello Mushrooms and I used it instead of hazelnuts. Because they are already granulated it wasn’t too difficult to crush just a little bit more and use as a crumble topping. My only wish is that it came in a resealable packet. This will continue to be a pantry staple for us.

Not Australian Peanuts. Kibbled peanuts like these are useful if you want to add a different texture to a dish from using the whole nuts, and it's convenient to not have to chop them yourself (especially if you don't have a food processor). My childhood memory of this product is having it sprinkled on top of a banana split as an annual birthday treat. It would sometimes make an appearance in baking. For something different I've been using it to make a satay salad, mixed with chickpeas, baby spinach, sultanas, chopped cucumber, grated carrot, and a coconut cream/peanut butter/chilli sauce/lime juice/kecap manis dressing. The texture and peanut flavour do add a lot to to the salad. Unfortunately it isn't made with Australian peanuts so I won't be buying it.

We always make our own coleslaw whenever we have salad as it is much fresher (and nicer) tasting than the shop bought ones that have been sitting around for who knows how long. Sometimes we add dried fruit (cranberries or sultanas usually) and/or a bit of curry powder to vary the flavours a bit and a good tip to make them taste 'lighter' is to add in some W/W light sour cream (or some yoghurt) instead of solely mayonaisse. Whatever way we 'flavour them up' though, our 'coleslaws' are pretty much all given a lift by topping them off with some toasted (dry fried) chopped nuts. Pine nuts are awfully nice when used in this way but they are also very expensive. A Little Nutty :). I found my 200g bag of granulated nuts quite easily in the dried fruit and nuts section. They are great value and are so versatile. Being unsalted, I used some in my san choy bow lettuce cups and also on top of our icecream sundaes. These crushed nuts are very fresh and super crunchy and a great source of protein. The bag isn't resealable but that doesn't worry me as I just fold over the top and secure with a rubber band. They are not a product of Australia which is disappointing as we have awesome peanut growers here that produce quality nuts.
