Great to use on cereal and in muffins. I have used oat bran before but not for a while so was keen to get this bunch offer. I madeuffinsnlast night with the recipe of the back of the package and they turned put nice and moist so will do that again.. this morning sprinkled on my cereal which gave a nice taste to my cereal. Will definitely buy this brand again as I like how the package is recyclable and not a package in a box which is overkill and wasteful. Love the Australian shape on the front indicating it is Australian made which I am a huge fan of. We need to be buying Australian made where possible and the more we buy the more that will be made/produced here and we will not be at the hands of other countries when they decide to punish up for something that was ... MoreGreat to use on cereal and in muffins. AUSTRALIAN Oat Bran. Great that it’s a fully Australian product!Panel on package with a recipe suggestion is great too. Why not make these a cardboard package insert for better keeping? I see that a few reviewers have followed the recipe for oatbran and date muffins, so that is a good sign that the recipe suggestions are worthwhile. Not everyone knows anything about using oat bran in the kitchen. I have a standard recipe for muffins using dried fruit soaked in tea overnight. I added oat bran into the mixture and they turned out great. It is a versatile product that can be added to cooked porridge, smoothies, baking and soups. I’ve seen recipes that add them to pancakes and use them for crumbing. They add just a slightly nutty flavour and can boost the textures of ... MoreAUSTRALIAN Oat Bran. Healthwise they are a great addition to your diet if you want to look into that aspect. They can be added to not-so-healthy recipes too. They are an important part of a big batch of nut-choc-chip cookies that I make. I guess they help the guilt factor over indulgent goodies. Support our Aussie farmers and your health at the same time and give these a place in your pantry and your daily kitchen repertoire.

Healthy and well priced. I have been using pysillium for years as a supplement, and in this form oat bran is supposed to give the same results. I used it in my morning drink with pysillium before breakfast and also added it to my panko crumbs to coat chicken. No real flavour to it, but that isn't a problem. It worked well in the ways I used it and it can be used in such things as cakes or muffins. Australian product at a cheap price and good for you as well. Woolworths have a real winner here, and I would certainly buy again and recommend to others. Thanks to Woolworths and Bunch for giving me the chance to sample this excellent and healthy product.

Bran New Day. Firstly, I really liked the messaging on the product packaging. Messages like 'Grown on Australian Farms' and the 5 Star Health rating are strong positives for me. I also liked the advice on the back of the packaging about possible uses of the product, including the muffin recipe. Now that the weather is warmer, I've moved away from my relatively unhealthy winter breakfast option of hot crumpets covered with margarine and plenty of smooth peanut butter. Instead, my summer healthy breakfast is now made up of a bowl of yogurt and some blueberries, strawberries and sliced banana. In the last few days I've added the oat bran to my breakfast bowl and found it an enjoyable option. It added a new texture experience. It might be my own imagination, but I also ... MoreBran New Day. Nothing about coconut in the ingredient listing on the packaging, so I must just have confused taste buds.

Healthy Oat Bran. This is not a product that I would normally buy however thought I would try it and see what it can be used for. I noted that a few people used it to add to breakfast or to muffins or to biscuits. I decided to try it with muffins and biscuits. It states that it has a 5 star health rating. I added the product to banana muffins and they were tasty but I really did not notice any real difference. I also added it to some Anzac biscuits and again, they were tasty but I no real difference was made. When I make both muffins and biscuits, I tend to go on feel, so if they are a little dry during mixing I add more liquid, therefore the Oat Bran did not make any difference to the mixture. I do recommend this product for the health benefits and if this is something that you already use or wish to add to your meals, however probably not something that I would buy again.

Great product - Pantry Staple now. This product was easy to find in the Cereal Aisle. Product was also easy to see on the shelf due to the great colour on the packaging. Again being able to see the product in side the packaging is always a bonus. I used some of this Oat Bran on my morning cereal - not overally tasty, but a good source of fibre (healthy addition). I love the fact that it comes from Australian Farms I also used some of this in a muffin mix - so versatile - and it gave my muffins a lovely texture, so another winner. I would have to say this is now a Pantry staple, as I can see it also being used in smoothies, other cake mixesof mine, and on porridge in winter. When in doubt make muffins. When I got this sample I thought twice before accepting it. What would I do with it. I looked at other reviews and they were putting it on their breakfast cereal which isn't something that would go nice on my Crunchy Nut cornflakes so that left me scratching my head but I ticked accept anyway. When I got to the product instore I saw it had a recipe on the back for muffins so I also grabbed all those ingredients and made a batch of oat bran and date muffins. Lets just say a taste test of the raw oat bran itself was like eating sawdust so no matter how healthy I try to eat I will not be convinced to sprinkle this on anything. The muffins however turned out fine but the recipe is a bit bland and next time I make them I will double the amount of dates to give it some sweetness and also add some cinnamon or other spices to the mix to give it some flavour. I did the extra bit and before cooking sprinkled with cinnamon and demerrera sugar on top. I also sliced and slathered with butter. Would I get this again. Nope sorry I get enough sawdust from tinkering outside in the garage when I am making stuff. Cost was only $2 and this bag will last me a lifetime as it is not something appealing to eat. I will keep it and try to add it to things as I see fit but wont be buying again. Great that it is an Australian product with a 5 star health rating and no artificial colours, flavours or additives etc.

Great source of extra fibre. Easy to find in store, it was on the bottom shelf but I tend to look there first when I am looking for a Woolies branded product. Healthy versatile and affordable product! Found this item on the bottom shelf and at $2 thought the price seemed reasonable for the quantity 500g. A very healthy product, the oat bran is high in fibre, low in salt and is a great addition to the diet. The bran can be added to cereal or used as part of a yoghurt topper. I added some to make honey banana and oat bran muffins. The grandkids had no idea they were ‘healthier’ muffins and wolfed them down which was a big thumbs up moment. I will keep a packet in the pantry from here on out so that I can add it to my baking as needed!Great to support an Australian product. I would have liked to see this as a re-sealable packet given that most consumers would not be using this product all in one hit.
