Woolworths Original Brown Rice Crackers 100g

Great variation on the regular rice cracker. I eat a lot of name brand rice crackers and I have to say this is the first time I have tried Woolworths crackers never mind brown rice crackers. I really, really enjoyed these. They had a lovely light flavour and a crispy crunchy light texture, I loved them. They are very handy to have in the cupboard and are so versatile, and can be used with dips or added to a quick cheese board or platter. The crackers are so cheap at only $1. 35 for 100grams. It is great that they are made with whole grains and are MSG free. It is also good that they have no preservatives, additives or artificial flavours added. I am surprised the 3. 5 health star rating is not higher. My only question is: Why is there white rice in a brown rice ... MoreGreat variation on the regular rice cracker. These crackers had a super crunchy texture, were neither too thick or thin and had just a slight salty (but not too salty) flavour. A smooth cracker with no lumpy grains... thumbs up from my toddler!I enjoyed eating them on their own but they were also very tasty with cheese and a sour cream and chives dip. ✔ Clear, bright packaging makes the product easy to find on the shelf. ✔ No added MSG. One of the best crackers I have ever enjoyed. Crunchy, flavoursome, crisp, suitable for all toppings, dips or just on their own. I tried these over the xmas festivities and they were a big hit with all the family even the little ones. Light as a feather, thin and crispy but still with a loud crunch, soft enough for the grandparents delicate dentures. Broke a few up on my caesar salad for work and they made a great healthier alternative to oil soaked croutons. Took a hand full in the car for a quick snack on the run. Just enough salt and seasoning to crush them up on top of some pasta with sardines and a sprinkle of parmesan for an easy dinner. Very versatile and tasty cracker. Cracker of a Cracker. I love the packaging for these oven baked brown rice crackers - it’s excellent. The colours are so bright and eye catching, it was very easy to spot them on the shelf in the biscuit aisle. The foil wrapping, while not recyclable, does help to keep the product fresh - I just folded the opened end and secured the packet with an elastic band and the crackers were still fresh when eaten days laterI found all the crackers uniform in size, shape and thickness & the recyclable plastic tray kept them intact, so no messy crumbs or broken pieces. They’re oven baked, light, crunchy and versatile & they don’t compromise the flavour of whatever they’re paired with. The only issues I have is that they’re made in China, surely they could be produced in Australia, even if it meant a price increase and the name Brown Rice Crackers is a little crafty considering they’re also made from 36% white rice.

Tasty Healthy Cracker. These were nice and cheap and had a bright colourful packet with each variety clearly distinguishable from the others by a different central band of colour. I'm always looking for a healthy option for snacking and with these I feel like I've found a great product. They are made from the whole grain and are brown rice so already a good start towards a healthier cracker. No MSG gets a huge tick from me. They state they are foiled fro freshness and my packet definitely was fresh and crackers nice and crisp. They had good flavour both on their own and with the dip I selected for my afternoon snack. I was drawn by the lovely packaging and when I read brown rice I immediately think they are healthy. None the less they only have a 3. 5 star health rating. Opening the pack, they were all in tact with no broken bits. I always do the tilt and listen test in store to check for broken crackers falling to the other side. These passed the test in store and at home. When I tasted them they were really crunchy which ticks the main box for me. The texture was good, colour was appealing and there was a good amount of salt on them. With the dip they were divine. I’m happy to say I will be purchasing these delicious ... MoreNice and crunchy. I first tried them as they were and could happily munch the entire packet in one sitting! I then tried them with a selection of soft and hard cheeses which were equally good to eat with! I also has some savoury fish paste and at first I thought it might be too salty together but it wasn’t... another good fit! My 10 year old started munching on them as well! Loved the fact that sunflower oil was used and no added msg too! I will always choose products that use a healthier and non gmo ingredients over cost effectiveness. When you first take a bite you are hit with a most unusual flavour. As you chew, that flavour disappears a little and they taste almost like other rice crackers. As soon as you bite another cracker, you are hit with that weird initial taste again. I didn't like that 'initial taste, even though it disappears as you continue to eat. They aren't too salty like some other brands. OVERALL: Good value for price, confused about whether to recycle the packaging or not, love the crunch, dislike the flavour. Wouldn't buy again.
