Woolworths Pineapple Slices in Juice 425g

Why pay more?! With a price point like this I couldn't justify NOT trying my favourite flavour of summer out. This tin is BIG, so great for a family serve or can easily store in a container in the fridge for later too. The packaging is bright and easy to distinguish from other brands with the green and yellow and just looks like Aussie summer. The quality and flavour here did not disappoint either, gave a great sweet, juicy hit and held its texture as expected for pineapple whilst still being soft enough to chew. Suspended in fantastic juice that I set aside for a smoothie this has made it onto my list of things I'll never pay more for - even the tin is recyclable!The only downside for me is that this isn't Aussie packed and produced. Surprised. Had this with a salad, usually we have Golden Circle brand, was pleasantly surprised at how sweet this was, there was no bitterness to it. I know sometimes even with the dearer brands you can be unlucky and have a tin that is bitter. It has no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives added. HSR 4. 5 Price wise it is excellent @$1. 65 a can, would I buy it again most certainly, It got the thumbs up from this household even from the fussy eaters.

Tasted better tinned pineapple. We bought 3 of these as we were not near A store where we normally buy tinned pineapple. The tin opened easily and the price was ok. The pineapple itself was rather disappointing though. Pale though sweet, it wasn’t as fragrant (the pineapple tangy smell) as ones from A. We thought it might just be 1 that wasn’t as good, but all 3 tins were like that. The juice was ok though, the same flavour we associate w pineapples. Unless it’s a last minute emergency purchase, we will probably stick with A store which is much tastier with similar prices as this.

Great Value Pineapple. At $1. 10 this can of pineapple is the best value tinned pineapple. It's half the price of the Dole brand and about one third the price of Golden Circle. If the Golden Circle pineapple was three times better than this one I'd buy it but it's often of a similar quality. This is made in Indonesia, with a 4. 5 star health rating and the pineapple tastes sweet and good. Not as sweet as the best fresh Aussie pineapples but we very rarely see those here. I use it in savoury dishes like pineapple meatballs, red curry duck, sweet and sour, on Hawaiian pizzas, and in cakes, smoothies, cocktails. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Do the job. Needed some pineapple slices to add to a burger and I usually buy the brand name Australian grown pineapple but thought I’d try these from Indonesia purely because of their price. Easy to open ringpull on can. In the burger, I couldn’t really taste the pineapple over the other ingredients too much but they still had the crunchy texture you would expect. The juice was pleasant, not overly sweet which was good. Priced at $1. 65 for 425g. I’ll probably go back to the brand name Australian grown ones for a better taste.

The pineapple is often split a little but not completely so it's broken. On the bottom of the can I noticed a fault and the can in a section was squashed together unevenly to the rest of the bottom. Not that I noticed when picking it up at the shop. This product was made in INDONESIA packed in Australia. First set oven to 210 deg c. On a lined baking tray put a little dob of butter and a drizzle of olive oil. (they stop each other from burning and coat the crumbs golden). Add schnitzel to the placed butter and oil. Then add another tiny dob of butter on top of schnitzel and a drizzle of olive oil. COOK for 1/2 hour and turn half way through. AMAZING!!! Once cooked add the pineapple slices and then cheese and put back in the oven until cheese melts. It warms the pineapple perfectly. I normally do this method with 3 chicken schntizels for my little family here.

Fresh and Sweet. Cost $1. 20 great value for money and just as good as the branded one's. they are sweet and tasty. we used these on Hamburgers just fried a bit. Daughter has ice-cream with them as well. made in Indonesia WHY WHY WHY ??? we grow great pineapples here in Australia and have a cannery which should be able to can them as well. Sorry wont buy these again even thou they are half the price of the brand we buy. Can in Australia please. 5 Star rating as it is a great product and taste great as well.

Almost perfect pineapple. I bought this as a lovely little edition as I like to keep a few tins of fruit in the cupboard as backup when we can't enjoy the fresh produce. It comes in a snazzy and vibrant packaging so it was easy to see on the shelf. I loved the easy to open ring pull on the can too which opened to reveal the juicy looking pineapple slices inside. There were 8 slices with the perfect amount of juice although a couple of the pineapple slices were a little bit 'woody' and hard to chew. The other slices were nice and tender, lovely and sweet. I really like that they are in natural juice too as I don't buy any fruit in artificial syrup. The price is much cheaper than the other sliced varieties and being a product of Indonesia meant for a cheaper price. ... MoreAlmost perfect pineapple. Watery, tasteless. Sadly this was a definite no for me - tasted extremely watery and bland, lacking both sweetness and acidity. Strange smell in the tin too, all around a bit odd. Such a good price so it's a shame it was so bad.
