Great for schnitzels. I gave these a quick marinate then crumbed them and shallow fried to make Tonkatsu. They worked really well for this! They were surprisingly tender and juicy. I typically like to bake schnitzels however these were so thin that I thought they would likely be dry before they crisped up, frying them worked well. The 400g pack would normally be a bit small for our family of four however crumbed and fried the serving size was perfect. There were 8 fairly evenly sized and even in thickness pieces in my pack. I will likely buy these again for schnitzels, they are good affordable meat option. However for pan frying I will stick to the loin steaks that I usually buy as they are slightly thicker and a bigger pack size at 500g.

Great for Pork Schnitzels. (Not a Sample)I thought I shall try these sizzle steaks to make pork schnitzels after I had them previously freezed. I found these very convenient as you don't need to use a meat mullet to flatten the pork, it was conveniently done for you. The package had 8 slices. Nice size, perfect for a family meal or a light dinnerThe cooking was a breeze, but you do need to watch them, but as a schnitzel it won't be as easily burnt and it makes it harder to do so. Delicious. It took me a couple of visits to find Woolworths Pork Sizzle Steak. But on my last visit, I was very happy to find plenty on the shelf in the meat department. At the moment there is a sale on where you buy two packs for $15. These steaks seem very popular at my store. We decided to make pork schnitzel Burgers and served with homemade chips. The meal was delicious and we really liked these pork steaks. It was high-quality Australian Pork and cooked up really nicely. We will add these to our trolley again soon.

Most useful meat product we have yried. At first we thought these thin pork slices were a little pricey HOWEVER there is no waste and no shrinkage so they are definately economical. We beat them flat and crumb them with flour/egg/ panko crumbs and also sometimes with almond meal and then make schnitzels. We also cut them up and use in Sweet and Sour recipes ( in the usual way). We also slice them in strips and use them in stir fry ! It is just so handy to have them on hand ! I use them often. Great product.
Tasty, Lean, 100% Australian pork. These pork steaks were something different to try from the Woolworths beef sizzle steak. My daughter doesn't like pork, but she did enjoy these pork steaks. This pack of 8 pork steaks was a great serving size for the two of us and great value for $8. 00 for a 400grm pack. Like the other bunchees these pork sizzle steaks are great for crumbed schnitzels, we had leftover schnitzels for lunch on a sandwich or served with potato salad. Will enjoy the last of these pork steaks for tonight's dinner, pork and Bok-choy stirfy served with rice. Quick and easy to cook, and a versatile, flavoursome cut of meat. Will buy again. Thanks, bunch for the sample.
Easy to cook and has that pork flavor when fried. A number of good points: Aust product, quick to cook, flavorsome and tender. First meal it was fried. and enjoyed with mash, it cooked quick, was reasonably tender and a satisfying pork flavor. . 2nd meal it was floured and finely crumbed and enjoyed with baked veg. Again it was quick, tasty and that lovely pork flavor. . I think however you cook these steaks if you like pork you will enjoy these Pork Sizzle Steaks. Personally I would buy these again.
Sliced and ready. I made schnitzel out of my tray of Pork sizzle steak, floured, dipped in egg and then pushed into Woolworths Panko crumbs. It was delicious, I had made fresh cooked green apples that I pureeed the night before to have with roast vegetables and Woolworths Pork Belly Roast which is a regular roast meal for us. The schnitzel turned out beautifully and the pork was sliced just right to use for schnitzels. I ended up paying for this product as there was a glitch with it not taking the amount off as a free Bunch item…. I will buy it again.
So good for taste and budget. This was a purchased item, not a sample but l wanted to tell fellow Bunch members how great they are! I think the packaging and wording may have changed ? I often purchase these. Budget friendly! $8 for a pack of 8. We used 2 and the remainder has gone to the freezer for future meals. I pounded them and used savoury stuffing crumbs as a coating. Served with a simple salad dressed with Woolworths Italian dressing (a sample) and air fried fries. Absolutely delicious! The packs are completely see through so you know what your buying. Quick to cook through, So tender and a perfect easy meal. Will definitely purchase again (as l have in the past).
Sizzle Sizzle. I used the pork in some steak burgers last night. I did a flour and egg wash then coated the steak in a breadcrumb/garlic powder/mixed herb coating. The slices were a little bit too thin so they had a tendency to fall apart during the transfer from the packet - it would be nice if they were just slightly thicker! Luckily I needed some smaller pieces for my one year old so he could have some homemade pork nuggets. The meat cooked super fast and looked delicious. I served it to me and my husband on some warmed Woolworths ciabatta rolls with salad, cheese and aioli. So yummy! My son loved his nugget version and ate several alongside some pasta and peas. He then slept all night which may or may not have been related to the steak - we will have to try it ... MoreSizzle Sizzle. I used the pork in some steak burgers last night. I will absolutely be buying the pork sizzle steaks again and am looking forward to repeating this dish and trying some new ones too!
Versatile and delicious. We buy these pork sizzle steaks all the time. I do notice when I buy them, some packets contain a small amount of fat, but I usually have no trouble finding a pack with no fat as we prefer. I like that it comes in vacuum sealed packaging, makes for easy freezing. They are a great size for our family of four at present, I feel as my son gets older we might need a couple more pieces though. I made sweet and sour with these but have crumbed them or just eaten them plain with veggies. Quite versatile and always delicious. Love how quick and easy they are to cook. Only the tray is recyclable ♻️, whilst the sticker and film are not. These are a great price at $8 for 400g (or 2 for $15). I will continue to buy these delicious pork steaks.
