Perfect Shredded Parmesan Cheese. I don’t even have to open this sample packet of Australian Shredded Parmesan Cheese to tell you all how good it is! That’s because it has been a staple in our house for a very long time. It is always super easy to find in store, alongside the other quality Woolies brand cheeses. My one and only! This is the only Parmesan I buy now. It has a salty, nutty taste that’s not too strong or bitey. It complements Italian dishes, mashed potato and goes into my Cauliflower Cheese sauce every single time. It’s cost effective and the 250g packet is a great size. It is made in Australia but includes imported ingredients (unspecified). It is always located on the lower shelf in the refrigerator in my Supermarket. ‘Cheese’ this was ‘grate’! . We use Parmesan quite a lot. We always have either a pre grated pack, or a Block of the Woolworths Brand Parmesan and we either Shave, Grate, or Thermo it. We were very ‘grate’-ful to receive this sample to try. It tastes really good and it is so convenient. It will also last us quite a while as we use Parmesan mainly as a topping ingredient, except for our Carbonara recipe which it is used in the cooking of, so this sample will be very handy in the fridge. With the zip top resealable bag it is very convenient as well. We first used this sample to top a pan seared potato gnocchi recipe and it was really nice. Really tasty but there’s something about it…. Have purchased this before. Comparable price - sort of. Upon opening the pack, you are hit with a very strong smell, not a bad thing at all, just didn’t expect it. There is something that’s just not right. Maybe the texture which is quite firm, the flavour is there though. Personally, I like a light, fluffy parmesan, where as this is firm and almost chewy. If in a block form, would be magnificent on a cheese board. I used some of this in some meatballs (pictured). Utterly delicious and melted/combined in beautifully. Flavour was subtle and not overpowering compared to when opening the package. Didn’t appear to be caked in a non stick product. For me, I’d use this to cook in a meal but not to “dress” a meal.

Mild, Convenient & Good Value. We frequently buy this shredded Parmesan as it is convenient and good value. Terrific to use with pasta, add to a cheese sauce and pop in a toastie. It is a mild Parmesan and so functions well as an every day cheese with just a little extra bite than cheddar. Currently priced at $6. 25 for 250grams, it is made in Australia from at least 97% Australian ingredients. We do really enjoy this cheese but it doesn’t have the expected bite of a true matured Parmesan. Per kg is $25 which compares well to more bitey brands which can be in excess of $48 per kg. We will continue to buy this one for everyday use and splash out occasionally on a piece of a more expensive brand when we want the extra bitey flavour

Love my Parmesan cheese. Love this, it is my go to with spaghetti mince, in quiche and what ever takes my fancy to put on before it goes in the oven. Have even put it on top of my meat pie. Yummmmm. This time thought i would try something different. Eat it straight, in a type of biscuit form. I saw it on a keto page, Loved it. All you do is put baking paper on your tray. Put a spoon full, just like you do with biscuits and put in the oven. When it starts to brown around the edges take it out. Serve with a dip of your liking. I had it with avacado in a bowl and scrapings on top. Loved it. Should have made more. Only did 6 just incase, but should have done the whole packet. Are used it on top of my chorizo pasta and also on my garlic bread rolls. It does look a bit processed on top of pasta, whereas, when I grate Parmesan myself, I find that it melts nicely into the pasta. Fridge staple. We have been purchasing this Parmesan cheese for so many years. It’s really good with pasta. I’ve also used it in my zucchini fritters and have made a cheese sauce with it. My kids keep asking me to add more cheese, because they really enjoy it. For people who don’t like the strong Parmesan smell, this doesn’t have that strong stinky smell that Parmesan can have sometimes. I know that can put people off sometimes. We love this and will continue to purchase it. There is also a shaved Parmesan version which is great also
