An acceptable little snack. I picked up this sample 6 pack of Trail Mix, it was priced at $3. After removing the outer plastic that seals the 6 packs I found the individual boxes were not sealed and exposed to air which is fine if you are going to eat or use all six boxes immediately. However, it does recommend on the box to store them in an airtight container once opened which is a bit inconvenient. Especially if you want to leave a few packs around like in your bag for emergency snacks. I think it would be better to seal all packets individually or rethink the packaging in small bags. I enjoyed having this mix of nuts and dried fruits with no added sugar, a 4 star health rating and a good mix of almonds, cashews, walnuts, sultanas, currants and dried apricot. Itâs great that there is No Artificial Colours or Flavours but it contains the preservative 220 and canola oil which Iâm not that keen on. I liked the 30g portion size which is very convenient. It states on the box that it is packed for Woolworths from at least 20% Australian ingredients but I note on the website it states under the Country of origin that it is Packed in Turkey from at least 20% Australian ingredientsThis information should be included on the box and is a major omission.

Convenient Snack. This Woolworths Trail Mix pack, comes in six individually portioned boxes (30g) and has a shelf price of $3. 00. The portion size is perfect and the individual boxes are great for grabbing a convenient and healthy snack on the go. The nuts themselves (40%) are a combination of of whole almonds, pieces of walnut and slivers of cashews. They were nicely flavoured, but they were softer than the plain almonds I was lucky enough to sample. The dried fruits (60%) consist of a mix of sultanas, currents and apricots. The nuts and fruits mixed together made for a very tasty snack. The contents of the little boxes are packed in Turkey from at least 20% Australian Ingredients. I would be happy to buy this product again, but would love it if the Australian contents could be increased and the country/s of origin could be listed on the packaging.

Convenient Healthy Snack. Had a bit of trouble finding these - tried health food section first, then baking section where similar products can often be found before finding it in a new section with nuts and dried fruits. The red colour of the packets clearly stands out on the shelf. The price seems a little dear for the size of the packets but I know you often pay for convenience and these little packets are very handy for on the go or for lunch boxes. I love that there is no added sugar, and no artificial colours or flavours but I would have expected that if it is just nuts and dried fruit, so would have been surprised if that wasn't the case. Good that they are packed in Australia but sadly contains only 20% Australian ingredients. Packet say a perfect mix of ... MoreConvenient Healthy Snack. Good that they are packed in Australia but sadly contains only 20% Australian ingredients. Packet say a perfect mix of nuts, sultanas, currants and dried apricots with the nuts being the largest percentage, closely followed by sultanas and much less currants and dried apricots. Sadly it's not a 'perfect' mix. The packet I opened had way too many sultanas and probably slightly more than the nuts. As I am not a fan of sultanas then I would have preferred more nuts and for those that do like sultanas if the percentages are to be believed at least a few more nuts than those actually in the packet. The nuts also seemed to be predominately walnuts too which is a cheap way of providing nuts when I'd again prefer the better quality almonds and cashews. Overall I was happy with the option of a healthy snack and that the packaging is recyclable, but I'm not a fan of this mix. I would much prefer to put together my own mix of the nuts and fruits I like and prefer and while the price is reasonable you are paying extra for the packaging and convenience so probably cheaper to make them up yourself. If time poor and you or your child likes these fruits and nuts then they are worth considering for a quick, healthy snack but they aren't for me.

Trailblazer. Thank you bunch for gifting me this sample. I have fond memories of this also being one of my early bunch samples so was wondering if the recipe/ingredients/source of ingredients has changed a bit since then Iâll never know. Anyway was looking forward to consuming this one evening when I was a bit peckish. Surprising how much actually fits into one of these tiny boxes. The imaging on the boxes is very appealing. I like the red colour of the boxes as well. Like other reviews have mentioned, once the initial plastic wrap is removed from the boxes, there is the increased likelihood that the nuts will start to lose freshness inside the cardboard boxes. I think the combination of fruits and nuts is ideal and makes for a nice pleasant sensation with each mouthful. It contains almonds, cashew nuts, walnuts, sultanas, currants and apricots. No artificial colours or flavoursâ 4 âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ health rating â Best before date of 10 months. Packed in Turkey from at least 20% Australian ingredients. Thatâs a bit unusual and not preferable. Priced at $3 for 6 little boxes of 30g each (180g) is reasonable for the convenience of them. â Recyclable packaging âťď¸â Will quite happily purchase these in the future.
Set me a trail to the mix! This was a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed this product. Price wise, it is a bit expensive for its weight and size compared to making it yourself with portioned dried fruits and nuts, but as a simple convenience it is great! The product has a 4 star health rating thought the sugar content is quite high for the size. Disappointingly, as much as this product is made in Australia, itâs only made with 20% Australian ingredients. The product comes in 6 individual 30gm boxes, the boxes being recyclable but the plastic exterior being popped into red cycle. Fruit was plump and soft while the nuts had a nice texture and crunch. I found it enjoyable to eat, though I was surprised when I had quickly devoured a whole small box without blinking! I would likely purchase these again, great for an easy work lunchbox filler (This is my bottom layer of my lunchbox, donât mind my chocolate stash )
Good in theory... mine were completely stale. Unfortunately I had to rate this product a 1 star purely due to the factor that all the contents were dried up & stale. I really liked the size of the individual packets which would be perfect to pop one into your kiddies lunchbox for a healthy treat. The price of $3 seems ok with 50 cents per box although you could probably buy individual packets of these things to make up homemade versions cheaper yourself so I'd be more inclined to do this. The ratios of each packet are a bit hit & miss as my first one had only 1 tiny walnut piece with one dried up apricot with some cashews with loads of sultanas/currants. I opened each box which had varied amounts in regards to the nuts with some having 3 walnuts, some with 2 cashews & most having at least 3 almonds. Most had 1-2 pieces of the dried almond & the amount of sultanas & currants varied with some having more sultanas & some with more currants. My sample had a best before date of 18/1/23 however all the contents were completely stale tasting & dried up so this certainly needs to be addressed as after one tasting I wouldn't purchase this. I ended up throwing the contents onto the lawn so I hope the birds at least enjoyed it as we didn't. So while this is good in theory... mine were completely stale.
Each Box a Surprise Mix. The boxes are brightly coloured and are covered by a large colour photo of the trail mix which helps to spot these on the shelf. The cellophane wrap doesnât seem airtight so they could go a bit stale when sitting on the shelf. The BB date is almost a year. The mixture of each box is different. Some had a bit of everything while others had few or none of one thing. Sultanas/currants were the most common in number and the Walnuts the rarest. But as a whole the six pack of boxes followed the 40% nuts and 60% fruit ratio. The almonds were firm and crunchy while the cashews and walnuts were softer. Handy snack size. Easily located in store in the cooking goods aisle. Six pack for $3. 4 âď¸ HSR, handy individual cardboard pack with return to store outer plastic. Convenient size. Like the 6 pack of Almonds, these are a great convenient snack to have on hand. 4 Star rating, but only 20% Australian produce. Why? We grow everything in Australia that is mentioned on the box. The first box we opened had 1 almond and the rest was currants, sultanas and apricots so was a bit disappointed in that. The second box (photo below) had 7 almonds, no cashew or walnut pieces, 3 pieces of apricot and plenty of currants and sultanas which is fine is you love currants and sultanas. I appreciate it must be hard for aa machine to get the same ratio of products into a small box but the mix clearly has far more currants and sultanas than the other ingredients. Thank you so much for the opportunity to sample this but I think it would be better to buy individual packets and make them up yourself.
Convenient Snack. You do actually get what is shown on the little boxes There are 6 small boxes in this pack and the pack will cost you $3. 30, you are paying for the convenience here and once you have opened the outer wrapper they are no longer sealed/protected and you will need to store them in a container. The contents were a good mix but apart from the walnuts the other nuts were on the soft side. There are no added sugars, artificial colours or flavours and have a 4 health start rating. These are packed in Australia from at least 20% of Aussie ingredients, it would be nice to see a higher ratio of Aussie ingredients. If you are after a quick handy snack then give these a try
