Crust me - itâs Great! . So, we usually buy the cheapest bread we can as we are on a serious budget around here . Our daughter is a huge bread snob and only eats white bread and likes a certain brand but she is working now and buys her own because Iâve told her Iâm not stupid so more power to her This bread was awesome! Like the white variety in the same bran I reviewed previously, it lasts ages, is soft, and worked a treat. It is great for sandwiches and toast, and freezes well also. At $2. 70 for 650g itâs an awesome price for the quality. We made salad sandwiches as pictured and they were the bomb diggity! So soft and tasty! You have won me over with this delicious bread! I haven't tried it before as I normally buy the Woolworths Country Style Whole Grain bread (which we absolutely love) and I was pleasantly surprised how soft the loaf was when I picked it up off the shelf. It didn't disappoint! I made some egg and lettuce sandwiches for our lunch and my husband didn't stop 'raving' about how great the wholemeal bread was. He kept asking me if we could change from the Whole Grain bread to this one. The bread is soft, fresh, light and so tasty I just wanted to keep eating it. It toasts perfectly and the size of the slices are great (perfect for sandwiches). I will definitely be buying the Wholemeal Bread from now on (but I'll still keep a loaf of Woolworths Country ... MoreSo soft and tasty! You have won me over with this delicious bread! Lovely bread, prefer the hi-fibre option! I was lucky to have received two Woolworths branded wholemeal bread samples in a short space of time - so I am able to compare the two. I usually default to purchasing this bread, as it was a very cost effective option, and there is nothing wrong with it at all! However, I have found the hi-fibre option to be extra delicious and soft - which is why I have since had to amend my rating of this bread from 5 star to 4 star. To summarise, this is definitely a very affordable, great option for bread - in fact, I had it as my staple over the last year! I have particularly enjoyed this bread toasted with cottage cheese, tomato slices with salt and black pepper. However I would probably spend the extra money to buy the hi-fibre ... MoreLovely bread, prefer the hi-fibre option! Nice tasting and economical wholemeal bread. When buying bread our family pretty much always buy freshly baked from the bakery section in Woolworths, and although we enjoy white bread we try to keep it healthier by buying wholemeal most of the time. We don't typically buy any of the "plastic" loaves from the big brands, as these are overpriced and lack flavour and quality in my opinion. However when the family tried Woolworths Wholemeal Soft Sandwich Bread we were suitably impressed with how good it was despite not being freshly baked from the bakery section. The loaf was light in texture but had good flavour, it was not heavy like some wholemeal bread can be, which we appreciated. We will continue to buy fresh baked from the bakery, but lately with all the long weekends we've found the bakery section quite bare by the time we reached it during our weekly shop, and we would definitely now buy this loaf instead if we are in a pinch with no freshly baked options.
This was very dry? This was easy to spot on the shelf as there was a lot in store! & at $2. 70 a loaf, but only a 3 day shelf life and they all looked overcooked as well? This maybe why they all felt so dry and stale. I really donât envy Mr M, this week as this is his lunch for the next few weeks? I took out 2 slices of bread to make a sandwich, but the bread doesnât feel that fresh at all? Extremely dry around the edges and even the bread itself doesnât seem that fluffy? So toast it is! I had a bite of it plain before I put anything else on it, and it is a bit ordinary not something that I would rush out and buy anytime soon. Then I added my banana and mashed it over my toast, love mashed banana. Oh in coming, here is Sticky! Well at least she enjoyed it! Haha but ... MoreThis was very dry? I really think Mr M, will struggle with this bread over the next few weeks, he has really grown to love the multigrain one, now he has to eat this one? âThis has a 4 star âď¸ HSR! â Bag goes in the bin âTag goes in used envelope recycling âťď¸ â Made in Australia â from at least 94% Australian ingredients. â âThis has 20 slices and 2 crusts. â However this bread is just not for me, I still prefer to eat my lower carb high protein bread. Thank you Bunch for giving me this wonderful opportunity to try this product. Thank you to all of my fellow Buncheeâs for taking a look at my review.

The packaging design did not stand out, so even there, it took me a while to spot it. - The firm cardboard tie was easy to take off and easy to replace. - There was no bready smell when I opened the bag. I found the taste and smell overall to both be quite mild. - Each slice was a good thickness for a sandwich but the size of each slice was sadly on the smaller side. I prefer larger sized slices. - Whilst I like slightly chewy crust on bread, there was something about the overall texture of this product that I didn't like. Perhaps the whole slice was too chewy?*Enjoyed a slice with some cheese. Overall: A mild tasting bread that was fresh and promised me lots of fibre and protein. However a little on the small size and the texture not quite right for me. Certainly a good bread for $2. 70... but not a product that I would buy regularly because of the size and texture.
Your Usual Supermarket Bread. It's been a while since I've eaten supermarket bread as I usually get sour dough and at times I can find it at a reduced price, and buy a few loaves to freeze. I like reading the list of ingredients in products as I like to know what I am putting into my body. Ingredient listings also determines what I put in my shopping basket. The ingredients of this bread are:Wholemeal Wheat Flour (45%), Water, Wheat Flour, Yeast, Wheat Gluten, Vinegar, Iodised Salt, Canola Oil, Soya Flour, Vegetable Emulsifiers (472e, 481), Vitamins (Thiamin, Folic Acid), Processing Aid (Wheat). I generally don't buy this bread for the family and don't like eating fillers, iodised salt, synthetic vitamins, etc added to my foods. I try to avoid processed oil (canola) where I am able to. I don't know what a processing aid (wheat) is. I found the bread to be a little gluggy, too soft for my liking, and like eating potato. I preferred toasting it. I don't see the point in having the Woolworths wholemeal bread if wholemeal flour amounts to only 45%. There are far healthier choices such as yeast free sourdough bread.
Keeps well. Something completely different for me to try as I don't buy bread as a rule preferring to make my own. It was easy to find ion the shelf and I liked the packaging as it was clear and simple and enabled me to see the slices of bread inside. Good for price. This loaf was easy to find in the bread aisle. We have enough bread atm and as we forgot to give it to our girl and partner to try we decided to freeze. Initial observations. Slices are small. It is a smaller sized loaf at 650g so the slice size is expected, though not preferred. the crusts, which at my favourite always, were super small and unfortunately on the harder side. The loaf still has 5 days best before so this was unexpected. The first two sliced in and the last slice and the last crust, were the same. We set them all aside to have toasted. The rest froze nicely in 4 lots of 4 and 1 lot of 2. The bread for toast we wil have today which I am sure will be fine, after all the bread will only be further dried. Nice bread. This is a full flavoured, soft and light bread that is great to eat as is, toasted and great for adding any of your favourite toppings or filling. The only problem I have with this bread are the additives 472e, 481 and processing aid that could be derived from anything and could be synthetic.
